The house was very comfortable, nice grounds and true to description. The location is perfect! We go apple picking annually and love Tannersville and are familiar with area. The host, David, mentioned in description that the kitchen was limited with pots and pans so we were prepared and brought our own. The only suggestion I would have would be to supply pot holders and dish towels. There were none. But there were plenty of bath towels, extra pillows and blankets. The kids enjoyed playing volley ball and pickle ball. We brought our own net that we were able to set up on the spacios grounds. Lovely weekend, great host and house. Thank you David!

Great for an extended family

One feature we didn’t expect about this place with so many bedrooms is that the two main gathering areas were separated. This was ideal for us as 7 kids (6-14 years old) were able to enjoy a pool table and arcade game while adults lounged in the living room. It gave the kids some autonomy and the adults a chance to connect.

Great for our family vacation

The host was super responsive- a great communicator. The check in/check out was smooth. We were a family of 16 people (including 4 kids and our elderly parents) We stayed for two nights. The plus for us was that there are plenty of bedrooms and bed choices. The number of bathrooms was also sufficient. It was great having one in the game room! The lack of kitchen supplies was definitely limiting. I knew going in that the descriptions mentioned it, but was not expecting it to be so limiting for such a large house. We did bring a few things with us. Our biggest concern was the mouse situation (we saw two of them). I mentioned it to the host and he said they were actively working on it. There were many mouse tracks (and mouse droppings) throughout the house, which is not a great look. Hopefully they will remedy that. All in all, a great location, a spacious house and plenty of activities to keep the kids happy and busy.

Family Christmas Gathering

There were 26 of us for a nice family gathering. Plenty of bedrooms and beds. Only 2 showers for 26 people a little challenging. Kitchen facilities lacking materials as noted in the listing. Bring your own pots and pans. Hot tub and fire pit were a nice addition. All in all, worked out great.

Great place; needs some work!

Our family (27 people) enjoyed many aspects of this house, which does have some renovations. However we have mixed reviews! The host did respond quickly to some issues; carpets re-vacuumed, floors lightly mopped, but it didn't help much with deep dirt. Handyman repaired missing and non-working stair railings, a risk to young and elderly, and repaired a window screen. Eating utensils were supplemented to accommodate our large group. The house lacks cookware for large group cooking; we brought our own. (One kitchen lacks stove burners). We were OK with mis-matched curtains, dents and dings, old stuff, minimally furnished bedrooms, etc., for the price.; our focus was on health, safety, and basic sanitation. Current issues: Carpeted and vinyl floors are grimy and need to be deep cleaned. Some bedroom carpets are so badly stained they may be beyond cleaning. We found what appeared to be mouse droppings in areas toddlers were sleeping and playing. We appreciated the new shop vac provided, but still ended up not using one bedroom fearing rodent contamination. In a house with no AC (which is fine), three bedrooms lack an openable window, and several screens throughout the house need repair. Some windows are ill-fitting; one window fell down on a family member’s head as she and others were sitting quietly on a sofa below; fortunately it didn’t break! Two of the showers need thorough grout cleaning, and mold was observed on a shower curtain; not all bathrooms have a working vent fan.

Good house for a big group

Pros: very responsive house owner, nice hot tub, many rooms, many bathrooms, walking distance (with sidewalks) to grocery store and a burger/ice cream place. Cons: Some walls and doors were damaged (looked like someone punched them!). But this isn't the worst thing for a group with a lot of kids. If everything had been pristine we would have worried more about the kids running around.

Great House For A Ski Trip Group

The house is incredibly close to Hunter Mountain, huge (there are actually 13 bedrooms and two living rooms!), with a great amount of outdoor space, 2 grills, a fire pit and hot tub. It's exactly what you need to host a large group of friends. We were all able to have our own room and comfortably fit into the main living area.

Accommodating to large groups

My family got together for the the holiday season and needed a place to accommodate all 30 of us and the property was huge, and had plenty of space and room for us to be comfortable especially during covid.

Great house for a large family

My family of 20+ members stayed at this location for five days and we enjoyed our vacation. The house accommodated us comfortably. We had adults, teenagers and small children and everyone was able to spread out and come together for family time. I was nervous about the house not having air conditioning but after we opened all the windows and turned on all the fans that are available throughout the house, the temperature inside was comfortable. It even got cold some nights. The house could use some maintenance but overall it was clean, had all the essentials and it allowed us to have quality time as a family. We got good use of the pool, hot tub, grills and laundry room. We had a few hiccups but David communicated respectfully. My family all agreed they would book this house for a future vacation.

Not what was portrayed online

It was in complete disrepair. They forgot we were coming. It was not cleaned and looked as if there was a frat party. Everything was disheveled and old and quite filthy. Terrible! Had to cancel last second. Could not have my family stay in that dump.

Everything was pretty great for the price. The only complaint is the heat was pretty weak. Once we lit the fire it was much better. David was a great communicator for everything.

Very accommodating to large family crew

We had like 9 small families (around 25 people) join us at this property for a weekend get together and there were more than enough rooms to accommodate everyone comfortably. Owner was very nice in allowing us to check in a bit earlier which was appreciated. No one bothers you. Wonderful place for a nice quite, large family vacation. There’s hiking trails and stuff nearby which we took advantage off. All in all we had a great time.

Great location

This place is good for big gatherings. Nice large bbq area with lots of benches. The swimming pool is also quite big. There is a fireplace area near pool. Lots of space for parking and play any sport if you like. We were 9 families with kids. Played volleyball in open space at backyard. The hot tub was not that clean and had issue with one of the jet tap. Owner was quick and attentive to all queries. Immediately sent a guy over to look at it. Unfortunately the part that was broken was not available with him. So we have to compromise a bit with hot tub. Rooms were plenty and as shown in pics. All rooms were clean. There is no AC and so we have to sleep with fan. There were many table fans. I guess almost one per room. July was hot month.. so few of us kept the windows open and mounted fan on window to let the cool air flow through room during night.It worked out great. The location of property is near to the city. Walking distance to restaurants or ice-cream shops. Grocery stores is also near by. So no worries of getting out if supply for daily needs. Water falls were 10mins drive. We enjoyed our stay and David is a great host!

Nice House With Multiple Rooms and Great Location

House is located on Main St and only a few minutes from many restaurants, gas station, convenient store, and Hunter Ski Resort. House also have multiple rooms that can fit many guest. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would book again.
