Excellent location, great back yard for a small to medium dog.

Great holiday, a few of the amenities need to be upgraded but overall for the spend, it is a great value property for a short break.

Handy Location for you and your dog

The property was fresh and clean and in a good location. I was disappointed that the bed was not a Queen as advertised, but a Double bed which was too small to sleep in. All the mattresses on the beds were old, uncomfortable, and very soft to sleep on. Off-street parking is inconvenient, even though the property has plenty of parking on the side of the house. After swimming at the beach it's nice to have a fresh shower to wash off the salt and sand, but there is no water pressure just a slow trickle. Privacy is limited and owners can easily access your back yard-even though I was told that they wouldn't do so. I felt my privacy was very limited and encroached when I walked outside my door to find the owner watering the backyard that I had paid for over the Xmas break to use, and then they returned and re-entered the yard later in the evening. My dog was unable to use the yard fully as the owner turned on 2 sprinklers without my knowledge or any warning from the property manager.

Fab!!) great accommodation, very well catered for. Clean. Beautiful fully enclosed safe garden with well established citrus trees. Don’t want to rave too much otherwise won’t be available for us to return 🤣

Yes we would stay again

Matador Flat was fresh clean and pleasant looking. Parking - There was heaps of parking on the street, at home I do the same - so leave no valuables in the car and you'll be fine. Backyard- Very secure for our staffie. 2 lovely grassed areas 5x8m and sunken garden 5x2m. Concreted area 2.5x10m. So lots of room for the dog and or kids to play. Webber style BBQ Interior - Is compact with 2 small bedrooms, good modern bathroom and lounge/kitchen. Main bedroom - Bed was more double than queen we thought (we use super king at home). Plenty of hanging space. Nice selection of books to read. 2nd bedroom - 2 singles, plenty of hanging space. Kitchen - Is quite small and would be tight preparing meals for 4. There is a good sized fridge freezer, microwave, electric fry pan, kettle, toaster, cutlery plates for 4 etc. There it stops. There are no hot plates or oven so the Webber style BBQ got a bit of a work out with roast veggies, chips, bacon and eggs etc. Lounge - TV and DVD player however no internet connection. Laundry - None on site however there is a laundrymat in Nelson Bay opposite Woolies. Location was great. Easy walk to local ex servos, Fly Point, Little Beach . Short drive into Nelson Bay and Shoal Bay.

Relaxing Nelson Bay

The Matador apartment was well located and extremely clean and comfortable. The outdoor area was great especially when travelling with a pet . We appreciated the fresh fruits and milk supplied on arrival giving us time to settle in before having to go shopping. A great place for a relaxing spring break!
