FSU Family Weekend

Interesting and fun place to stay. Property was as advertised and in location we wanted for proximity to FSU. Nice space and very nice property managers on site. Only slight annoyances: Lighting was a bit underwhelming, a few funky smells in and around room, TV Roku system was intermittent/shaky and remote didn't seem to match instructions, Wifi coverage was spotty at best. To be fair, we didn't come to watch TV, or spend much time in room other than sleeping, so we didn't even alert the owners. I'm sure they would have been responsive. Nice folks.

We asked to leave early

The host reached out to us on the day were to arrive, and asked us if we could check in later because their previous guest checked out late. We said that was no problem. When we arrived, we were informed the reservation we made was being "upgraded" and we would be staying in a different accommodation. It was basically their basement, I believe. A tall person would have to duck going through doorways. I put my hand in the ceiling fan changing my shirt, but we just laughed about feeling like we were in a hobbit house. But during the night, we were hot and couldn't find the a/c control (turns out there were no controls for the a/c in our unit and when I reported it to the owner, he said we should have texted him....at 3 a.m.? His daughter already asked us to text HER and not him when we were arriving at 8:15 pm because she said he would be asleep). In the morning, I could hear a child running overhead by 7:00, and once awake, I heard a critter in the wall which sounded like a mouse or a squirrel. I asked the owner and his daughter if they would allow us to check out early and refund us for our second night and they kindly agreed to refund us and apologized for the a/c situation. I wasn't going to leave a negative review but it has been 18 days now and we have still not received our refund, even after I reached out twice. They are both very kind when they communicate, but at this point I'd like my $400 refunded.

Great location, charming property

The property is charming. Very deep lot with 3 VRBO properties on site - all small places. The neighborhood is quiet and saef and we didn't have trouble with any noise from the other renters. Place was clean and bed was comfy. Lovely pool area but our weather and time was not conducive. Also they allowed our 3 dogs (small) so we were happy for that accommodation Parking is limited to on the street and it is a bit crowded. The cross streets have sidewalks but this one does not. Yard is sloped and there are a lot of uneven stairs, so it's not good for anyone with mobility issues (not advertised as such) or fears of falling. It is well-lighted tho. Amenities were a bit sparse - Farberware coffee maker to mimic a Keurig but no instructions so that was a bit confusing when you haven't had your coffee yet. Tap water is all that's available and tastes terrible - kind of typical for Florida tap water so bring your own bottled water. No cable - just a Roku which was fine but just pointing it out Overall a good stay. I recommend it with the above concerns noted

Weekend w/my dog

Great experience overall. Stayed with my dog and there was plenty of room for us and it even had its own private courtyard/dog run. I worked while there and the internet connection was very strong. Will stay again when in Tally.

Evacuating in Style

Came in from New Orleans escaping Ida and landed in what felt like a tropical paradise. And Charles was awesome helping every way he could. We will be coming back!

Beautiful accommodations!

I'm a travel nurse and I stayed at the courtyard bungalow for 13 weeks. Stuart and Robin were wonderful hosts and their home, grounds and pool are beautiful! The bungalow had everything I needed and was quiet and comfortable. Also their home is close to many good restaurants and bars. I would definitely stay there again.
