School holiday getaway

The house was perfect for two young families in winter school holidays. The location offered amazing views, walking access to the beach and town. Lovely stay.

A gorgeous beachfront home

We very much enjoyed our stay at Stones Throw. It is a lovely house, extremely comfortable and well appointed. We had 3 generations of our family there for a week and were very happy with our experience. Thank you!

Really nice little house

Just a nice quiet place to get away, could sleep 8 people comfortably (as long as you're cool with sharing beds), and was big enough that it wasn't crowded. Saw a little bit of grot on a few pieces of kitchen utensils but nothing unmanageable.

Beautiful panoramic view, from a well designed and up-market home. We enjoyed the log fire.

Generic contract was too broad and did not relate well to this house nor to the clientele. Disposal of rubbish needs to be simplified and keys should be on the premise. Staff on the phone was great.

Lovely Getaway

We had such a relaxing stay; Stone's Throw is very easy to love. The King bed in the main bedroom was really comfortable and I woke refreshed each day. We used the house as a base for some day hikes along the Heysen Trail and this worked fabulously.... we could sample a diverse range of lovely walks without long drives. The property is very handy to Normanville, making it easy to pick up provisions from the friendly folk at Foodland. Both bathrooms are wonderfully updated; the excellent showers were much appreciated after our hikes!

BEST VIEW IN CARRI

We had the most amazing weekend away at Stones Throw. Clean, light and airy with loads of space. Kitchen was well appointed and had plenty of glassware and dinnerware. We spent heaps of time out on the deck taking in that amazing view! Thank you so much! We can't wait to come back :)

Delightfull hideaway

Our second stay very much as good as our first with comfortable clean and fresh property. the vews from the mainkitchen /lounge/dinning room wher spectacular. Surrounded by sea and lush green rolling hills with an abundnce of wildlife. A most relaxing weekend escape.

Wow what a find!

we stayed here as part of my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary and it was enjoyable and we were all jealous of the amazing master suite. the view is drop dead gorgeous, the decor and kitchen equipment well thought out, however it would benefit from a pod coffee machine. We'd come back again all 6 Adults & 2 kids had an amazing time.

Perfect beach holiday house!

We loved our weekend at Stones Throw, and will be back for a longer stay next time. The property is perfectly located within easy walking distance of the beach (via a pathway at the end of the lawn), with AMAZING views of the river and beach from the main bedroom, kitchen/dining/lounge and back deck. The kitchen is large and spacious, with a gorgeous wooden benchtop/breakfast bar, and contained everything we needed. My only minor complaint was that I struggled to get the induction stovetop working because the instructions were so confusing, but once I worked it out we were all good! The dining table was HUGE with comfortable seating for ten, and I could sit here all day admiring the views. The lounge area had plenty of seating for everyone, including a very cute bench seat, and I imagine would also be very cosy in winter with the wood fire going. What made it even more special though was the gorgeous beachside decor - the pictures, cushions, rugs, etc. I loved all the colour, and it felt warm and homely. There were two barbecues - a weber Q on the back deck and a large BBQ downstairs, with plenty of seating at the outdoor table, and once again those amazing views - the sunsets were particularly spectacular. The main bedroom also had fantastic views, decor and a lovely, modern ensuite. The other three bedrooms at the front of the house were also tastefully decorated and very comfortable, and well positioned away from the living area for those who wanted to sleep peacefully. There is plenty of space for a large family or group of friends, or two families. The main bathroom could do with a refurb, but it was very clean and functional and didn't detract from what was an amazing stay. Overall, we just absolutely loved Stones Throw, and can't wait to go back!!

Beautiful Getaway House

We stayed just for a long weekend and could not have fallen in love with the house anymore so. It was in a perfect location, well equipped home and with a view to die for. The house was clean, and perfect for our large family. Might I add the most comfortable mattresses to sleep on! We will definitely be back for more family getaways!

Really beautiful place in great location . We were there in cold weather but would worry about summer being too hot as there are only fans in the bedrooms . The second bathroom also needs upgrading .

Stunning view

Well equipped though not for 10 guests. cooking pots were scarce/undersized. Overall lovely house and position. Does not have direct access to the beach, but it is a short walk along the road.
