Nice home and host

Lovely home, cozy inside and plentiful seating outside, well appointed with amenities as described. Andrea was a friendly, responsive host. Much better option for a group traveling together than staying in a block of hotel rooms!

Dream stay!

Great house and amenities for an extended family and a few friends to visit - lots of outdoor space (so crucial now during Covid). We had a dream stay! Everything looked well maintained and conveniently organized with all one would need for a late brunch and a nice dinner. Good supply of non-plastic quality dishware, cutting boards, bowl and sustainable cleaning products that are gentle on the environment and the skin. The two patios are so cute and comfortable. And it doesn't get better than having some (organic) smores by the firepit!

Wonderful Getaway

We had a lovely time at the house and particularly enjoyed the outdoor space - we had family over for dinner one night, used the grill, and ate on the patio. We also had everything we needed to use the fire pit and make smores. We were also happy to use the Netflix and Amazon options on the television. Finally, the beds were so comfortable!

Warm modern house immersed in nature

Communication with property manager was excellent. She was responsive. The house is modern, bright, calming, with views into the surrounding forest everywhere we looked. The site is stupendous, with wildlife everywhere. Showers and heating were excellent, and the wood fire was a welcome bonus. Beds were super comfortable - we slept so well. A total relaxation place, great for the soul.

Great Second Stay at Andrea's South Salem Country House

This was my second stay at Andrea’s beautiful modern house in South Salem. It was a great place to get away from the city to relax, catch up with my family and get a little work done. The house is really clean and functional. I loved the patio and the deck which was great for coffee in the morning and a little yoga. Really loved waking up to the sound of birds and the wind blowing the trees. Also loved the wood stove since it’s not quite Spring yet and it was nice to have a fire to read in front of. We also loved having a grill, although it was a little too chilly to eat dinner on the patio (maybe next time). Andrea was really easy to deal with and we had everything we needed at the house. It’s only about an hour and fifteen minutes from our place in Manhattan, the WiFi is good and it definitely provides an escape to the country side experience. We will definitely be back soon so we can explore the nearby towns of Pound Ridge, Ridgefield and New Canaan, as well as do some hikes in Ward Pound Reserve and maybe try to get dinner at Jean George’s place - the Inn at Pound Ridge which is supposed to be great.
