Solomon Street Cottage, Fremantle is in a convenient location, with parking space and in walking distance to Fremantle centre and with good road links to the Perth region. It is a period cottage with lots of original features and updated accommodation, equipped with modern furniture and amenities. The kitchen is spacious with a good family stove and fridge and lots of counter space. There is a large dining table with eight chairs, a comfy sofa and two IKEA Poang armchairs for family gatherings around the large flat screen TV. The two bathrooms are well equipped with clean, soft white towels and good quality soaps/shampoos etc. Hot water was in plentiful supply. We used only the two double bedrooms and these were comfortable with clean white bed linen. The road was quiet at night. There was building work taking place at a neighbouring property but only during daytime hours. Occupants in the double bedroom adjacent to the lounge were troubled by mosquito bites but we could not see how they were getting in since all doors and windows are screened. We used the washer and drier in the outhouse once during our stay and these worked well. There are shrubs and trees providing shade in the rear yard with foliage close to the house so there are some cobwebs between these - a natural thing! We enjoyed our stay.
