Great views and Location however listing is not accurate! Listing says wheelchair accessible and that a “wheelchair can enter and move around on the 1st floor”. This is incorrect! Upon arrival, we discovered there is a 4 to 5 inch step on the front door and back patio door. Our son could not even enter the house except from the garage which is a tight squeeze around the door once you get into the hallway. My wife and I had to drive 30min back into Visalia just to get some plywood and other materials so we can create a makeshift ramp for him to be able to enter through the front door and back patio door. This was not only frustrating but took time away from our vacation (approx. 3 hours). I even filtered for wheelchair accessible listings when doing my initial search. I also initially mentioned that my son has a licensed service dog which was forgotten because after checking out we received a message saying the cleaning service discovered evidence of a dog and pets were against their policy. Lastly, I brought DVD movies because the listing says that the internet is shotty due to the rual location but it turns out the DVD player did not even work and upon notifying the host, she said to just stream movies as they have starlink internet which works great! Nonetheless, my family and I were able to have a great time exploring Sequoia given the situation.

Amazing view of lake and location

The house has a great location and the view from the very large terrace is amazing. Is the only house in the area and there is a lot of wildlife neighbors. The entrance to sequoia nat park is very close drive. We had a very good time here.

Amazing Place!

You can't go wrong with this property. This is the second time I've booked this place and it has only upgraded since my first visit. They recently remodeled and the it looks great! You cannot beat the location (15 mins from Sequoia), amazing views, and different activities here. We booked a stay for 12, 11 ended up going, and the place was more than accommodating for the large group. Host called me right back after having a question, and was very hospitable. I will be back!

Lake house

This home offered breath taking views, plenty of games and activities, and numerurous family gathering areas. This was perfect for our two families. The teens even had a blast and managed to stay off their electronics! We were a few minutes from town, although the house had everything we needed for a perfect vacation. We plan on renting here at least once a year from now on.

It was an incredible experience!!

The house is gorgeous and just the right amount of amenities for a comfortable stay in an oasis. The overlook and sunset is breathtaking. The games and inclusions (hot tub and game room) were top notch and ensured we had a variety of activities to choose from. It was amazing and will be back.

Perfect retreat in a sunning location

We absolutely adored staying at this amazing house overlooking the lake. We were a party of four friends so we had more than enough space. The bedrooms are really well sized and the lounge area is big enough for a very large party. The kitchen was very well equipped and we appreciated the large fridge and freezer. There was also a fridge for us to keep beer cool in the garage. The garage is set up as a games room with air hockey, table soccer and a retro video game machine. The place was perfect on arrival, very clean and welcoming and the wifi was good for such a remote area. Instructions for entry, very clear and well communicated. Our favourite area and the place we spent most of our time was the outside deck. It is huge and the views of the lake are amazing. There is a canopy to shelter from the sun and plenty of tables and seating. There’s also the hot tub where we enjoyed watching the sunsets with some drinks. We really couldn’t have asked for more! Thanks so much for having us. We wished we could have stayed for longer!

The Roaches Ruined Our Stay

We arrived at night, discovered roaches very active in the kitchen. I messaged Dena early the next morning, she requested pictures and a time we would be gone so she could send pest control. There were delays of communication on my part due to lack of cell service when away from the house. A roach was sitting on a sandwich made only 30 seconds before, one crawled up on a coffee while I was sitting at the table. Pest control came while we were gone, but had no effect on the roaches. Dena said they were water bugs, so I sent proof that they are German cockroaches, she said I only sent pictures of a few dead roaches. We couldn’t get the live bugs pose, so we had to kill them for photographic evidence of their species. Two of our group are professional cooks, so it was disheartening to cook with roaches. We couldn’t read the temp on the oven because the roaches gather inside the electronics when the oven is on. These are not “critters” or part of rural life; roaches were brought in by guests from cities. While I understand that Dena was trying deal with the problem, I shouldn’t have to have a debate about the nature of the problem. Her remedy was to send pest control, which had no impact on the roach population, or to have us leave and be refunded for the rest of our stay. To find last minute accommodation for 6, and moving my 80yo mother was not an option for us. I know that problems arise in any house, but this was not one that could be meaningfully resolved during our stay.

Awesome place!

The location was fantastic. Close to town, restaurants, and the Sequoia Park entrance. The home was very clean and had plenty of space to fit two families of four very comfortably. Views were spectacular and were enjoyed every morning and evening. Home was a little difficult to find the first time because we made the mistake of solely relying on the GPS to find it. Once we followed the instructions originally provided by the host it was no problem. We would definitely recommed this place to anyone visiting the area.

Great View!

We had a wonderful stay in this home. The view from the deck across the lake is absolutely incredible! And you cannot see any other homes around you. Yes, there are insects, mice and ants as other reviews state but that’s to be expected in a home surrounded by nature the way this home is. We weren’t bothered by them at all. The only difficulty we had with the lay out was the 2 full bathrooms were en-suite and so others staying in the other bedrooms had to access the bathrooms through the bedroom. This wouldn’t be a factor for a single family. But if you have a couple families staying together this may be an issue. Nice and close to the Sequoia entrance. Would definitely recommend this home if your visiting either Sequoia or Kings Canyon. The entrance to kings Canyon is just over an hr away, if you don’t drive through Sequoia. Thank you again for the wonderful stay!

Issues!

We arrived to the front gate being completely broken…we entered the property to find the front door missing its bottom sweep so there was a 3/4 Inch gap under the front door so immediately my wife and kids were freaking out thinking there were snakes and spiders that had come into the house. Being in the mountains this is a huge safety concern and should not have been overlooked by the property owner! We ended up leaving a few hours later as there were hundreds of bugs throughout the house and bedrooms. Amazing view and location but the e property is not properly maintained!

Memorial Day weekend trip

Our family of 4 had a great time at this beautifully located home near Sequoia National Park. The view from the deck was stunning and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and grilling our dinners each day. Dena was an excellent host and very responsive.

Sequoia and Kings Canyon Visit

The house is very convenient to the entrance to Sequoia National Park. Nice home, comfortable beds, clean all around. Great deck with a beautiful view. Good value.

Girls weekend

This is our second time staying at this house and we can't speak highly enough about it! The view from the Deck is amazing, and the Deck itself is so huge and spacious, it's where we spent most of our time. It is so close to lake and river access, and sequoia natl park, so it is in a prime location with not a single neighbor in sight to bug you. We can't wait to come back!

Incredible home and location.

This place is amazing!! Will definitely be going back to this house just to get away from everyday life. When you first walk in it smells fresh, clean, it almost felt like walking into my own home, that’s how welcoming it is, oh and the views are unbelievable. Highly recommend!!

Great getaway with view!

Our two families enjoyed relaxing on the deck with a gorgeous view of the lake. Plenty of bed space and room for us 4 adults and our 6 teenage children to have space. Games in the garage were fun and the wildflower walks were beautiful. Host was responsive and friendly.

I knew we had to own this property! The feel that you get driving up the hill, and the views that you have when you stand on the deck or sit in the house absolutely are one in a million! You can sit on the deck or relax in the Jacuzzi for hours and never get bored of the scenery. Quiet, serene, and without neighbors...what else can you ask for! I love knowing that you are directly across from the lake, a short walk or drive to enjoy the rivers that flow into Lake Kaweah, the village of Three Rivers, and Sequoia National Park.
