This was our second stay at the barn house with Karen and Jessie. We absolutely love staying here. It’s an amazing location, close to the everything you need. The accomodation is great, perfect for a family and pets. Karen is wonderful and so welcoming. Will definitely be back again.

Everything about our stay was excellent! From the lovely welcome by our host, the wonderful, special little treats for ourselves and our pooch, the stunning property, the well fitted out and presented Barn House, the super comfy bed, the privacy, the leafy surrounds, the beautiful bird life, the tranquility, the location, and the home-made orange marmalade that was our parting gift from Karen and Jessie. I highly recommend The Barn House (next time we'll have to have a go on the pickleball court!).

Beautiful spot close to all the great things about Northern Beaches

Our Host Karen, has everything you could need all attended to with the Barn being part of a secure property which was just perfect for our dogs to have a great holiday as well. Everything was immaculate & private and very enjoyable.

Beautiful stay on the Northern Beaches!

The Barn House was a lovely stay and Karen and Jesse were so warm and accomodating and made us feel very welcomed! We loved our stay and our dog enjoyed the large fenced yard. Will definitely stay again :)

Nice stay

Warm and friendly host, nice, clean and comfortably accommodation in a good setting. Karen was very accommodating and gave us some good tips on what to do and where to eat. Very very happy with the long weekend we spent there.

Amazing place, serene yet close to everything, easy to relax and enjoy.

Karen was a fantastic host. She even put out extra an table & chairs for us to have a G&T on the grass. The Barn had everything we needed to live day-to-day and enjoy ourselves. Fun small tennis court, lots of space and definitely pet friendly. Even our dog had treats waiting for her when we arrived. I can highly recommend The Barn.

Christmas trip

I came to stay at Karen’s house with my husband, 2 year old and our dog over the Christmas break. From the moment we stepped out of our car we were so happy that we chose to book here. Karen’s house was absolutely beautiful, she had prepared our accommodation so well and even provided special touches for our son and dog. All the rooms were beautifully clean and comfortable. The location was great, just a short walk to the local shops and a short drive the the beach. Overall, a fantastic trip. We will definitely be back again soon. Thank you Karen

Quiet and leafy

The Barn was perfect for our needs, close to shops and all amenities but is far enough away for a quiet restful stay . Karen our host met us on arrival and could not be more helpful and had wine, beer and fruit for us on arrival. Alby our fur baby enjoyed playing with Jesse in the fully enclosed yard, the accomodation was very clean and we loved staying there and look forward to catching up with Karen and Jesse again some time soon. Alby especially loved Jesses birthday party. Loved our picnic on the way home thank you Karen.

An amazing little get away in a great spot with an amazing host!

This place was a great find! We were looking to have a change of scene for NY’s and Karen’s Barn House didn’t disappoint. Karen is an amazing host that really cares about her guests. She takes such pride in her guests experience, including any pets, with very generous little extras that just make it feel extra special. Thank you so much for being an amazing host, Karen! We had an awesome time and know our 2 frenchies did too, as they didn’t want to leave and loved meeting Jesse. We will definitely be back! :)

A holiday home experience exceeding all expectations

The Barn House is in a quiet street in leafy, rural Sydney yet just minutes away from Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Situated at the end of a drive through a beautiful garden, it is secure, peaceful & picturesque. It is nicely decorated & contains everything one could wish for in a holiday home with plenty of indoor & outdoor space. Fresh, tasty leafy greens were available for our consumption just a few steps from the front door. It is a wonderful home from home & sitting in the pretty courtyard sipping our kindly supplied beers we really felt that ‘we’ve arrived’! Our puppy was made very welcome with bowls, towels, yummy treats & even a doggie friend waiting for him. He had a huge area to safely explore. Our wonderful hostess Karen couldn’t have been more helpful right from my very first enquiry. Throughout the weekend she ensured that we had a marvellous stay - always mindful of any way she could improve our holiday. Humans & canine were thoroughly spoiled & we would love to visit again. Our only problem with this review....we’ve run out of stars, we need more!

Superb

The Barn House was perfect for our stay over Christmas to celebrate with family on the Northern Beaches! Karen and her dog, Jesse are delightful - communication was easy and lots of helpful local information provided. The Barn House is stylish, comfortable and well equipped within a large, beautiful, secure garden that our two dogs enjoyed stretching their legs in! Lots of lovely extra touches were provided by Karen! Bubbles, beer, chocolates and fruit to get us started, along with some treats for the dogs! Karen had even put up some Christmas decorations in the Barn House for us to enjoy! Helping ourselves to the plentiful vegetable garden and being able to have a hit of tennis were an added bonus! The location is excellent - set in a quiet oasis close to shops, cafes, restaurants and beaches! I would highly recommend The Barn House and hope to stay again soon!

Best of country and beach

Beautiful, peaceful & comfortable property. Karen is a delightful host and was able to assist us with any queries. The welcome from Jess (Bordoodle) was a bonus. We had a sailing regatta at Bayview and loved that we were an easy 15min away from the beach. The Barn House is very well set up with comfortable beds, well equiped cooking and laundry. BBQ was available if we needed it. Location is close to cafes, restaurants and grocery stores. The garden is lovely to wander is plus there are lots of lovely walking areas nearby.

Beautiful and peaceful property

I had a lovely 3 days at The Barn, Karen the host is very welcoming and I was very impressed with all the effort Karen went to to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The garden is beautiful, it’s very peaceful and fully fenced so I felt it was safe for my two frenchies, they could just wander around. Easy come and go access through electric gates offering easy onsite parking right in front of The Barn. I would highly recommend The Barn it’s a lovely place to stay.

Wonderful, comfortable place to stay on the Northern Beaches.

An ideal place to stay when we drove down from the country to visit our daughter and her two little girls. The mini tennis court, (rackets and balls provide) and grounds were ideal for the girls to play when visiting us. Karen provided a lot of extras, particularly in the kitchen and a welcome bottle of wine, fruit and biscuits. A washing machine, and soap were also provided. Linen was first class. Check in was four stars as we had difficulty opening the lock box (perhaps user error) however help was quickly provided. The use of the veg garden was a bonus. Wonderful friendly host and of course, Jesse the gorgeous dog. Highly recommend.

Lovely escape

We had a lovely stay at the Barn House. Our host was very welcoming and provided us with little surprises of wine, Easter eggs and fresh fruit. A very secure and quiet property with lovely manicured gardens for our dog to explore. We loved the adjacent half tennis court for our family hit and giggle session, for which our host provided racquets and balls. Local maps and recommendations of dog friendly parks and restaurants were also provided which was fabulous when you are not familiar with the area.

Short stay in Sydney

We had a very enjoyable stay with the bonus of being able to bring our miniature schnauzer with us. The property was clean with everything we needed for our stay and the location was quiet and peaceful with the advantage of only being a short drive to shops and services. It was lovely for our dog to be able to run around in a beautiful secure garden. Thank you Karen and Jesse for making our stay so easy, next time we will have to stay longer!!

The perfect short-stay on the beautiful Northern Beaches.

Immaculate stand-alone accommodation in a beautiful setting with a lovely host. What more could you ask for? You can pick veggies from the garden. Plus, there’s a tennis court and BBQ available for use. I can’t recommend the Barn House more highly.

We have just stayed two weeks at this wonderful accommodation in a quiet neighbourhood . It was absolutely perfect as our dogs had just come out of quarantine, and they had the space to run around as the property is gated . Karen the owner is so lovely and friendly , leaving treats for us and treats for the dogs too . The peace and quiet was so nice , and the keoride bus can pick you up outside and drop you in mona vale/ warriewood for about $4. So nice to have a pet friendly stay and would totally recommend this lovely place .
