Great value beach house

Fantastic value property right on the beach. Perfect for 2 families with lots of kids or other large gatherings with heaps of bedding options. But the star turn is its location and the sweeping views of Bass Strait, Apollo Bay and the Otways.Otways.

Mixed blessings

Positives: Great location close to the beach and walking distance to town. Well equipped kitchen. Wonderful views in both directions - beach in front, hills behind the house - and a large balcony overlooking the beach. Very pleasant and relaxing.Negatives: The stove/oven didn't work very well and no dishwasher. No Wi-Fi (which you would expect for the price). Some electrical problems with an unsafe powerpoint that were not fixed during our stay (despite the agent assuring this would happen). This blew up a couple of phone chargers! Also, piggybacked old powerboards that had not been electrically checked and were not ideal from a safety perspective. Some general maintenance needed, like sliding doors being really hard to open.

Great house good location

We really enjoyed our stay at the Seamoon. The views from the balcony were spectacular and the house had everything we needed for our holiday. We had to supply our own towels/sheets, but we were happy to bring our own.

Not accessible friendly

The house had no cooling, the stairs were dangerous and my daughter cut her hand open on a dirty razor in bathroom. The view was pretty but not good for people with disabilities

Most disappointing

The bins were overflowing and attracting flies. Expected to make own beds, no soap in bathroom and insufficient dishwashing liquid. Stove was unclean. Old and uncomfortable beds.

Cosy home, perfect location.

We really loved the location of the property and the view from the balcony. We arrived at night and waking up to the view was amazing and was very surprised how beautiful the backyard was with the scenic mountains. I liked the layout of the home, it had enough rooms and beds for everyone. We enjoy just walking across the road to the beach and sitting by the fire at night:)

Showers, Sunshine and Smiles

Returned to this property with some family members including my Autistic adult brother . Perfect for him to have the downstairs bedroom and own toilet/ shower. He also loved the views from the lounge to the sea and the hills. He is very keen to come back.

Great location but very old. No aircon!

Perfect location. Good communication from owner. Upstairs very small not as big as pictures. Very dated home with fittings, furniture, kitchen appliances etc. Only 1 main bathroom. Second shower and toilet is in the small laundry downstaits... also no aircon! Only reached a top of 20 and upstairs felt like over 30! Fireplace was a nice edition for the cold nights as no ducted heating. Only portable heating... No dishwasher in kitchen. Was beautiful view from the balcony as right opposite the beach and very relaxing. Outdoor seating needs a good clean Only 5 min drive into town. About 1.5hours to the apostles. Remember to read to towls, bath mats, linen, teatowls etc. Need to byo!

Wonderful location in older house

Amazing location with views of the beach. Older property - limited hot water; No dishwasher; cold downstairs during winter but heaters & electric blankets were provided. Fireplace upstairs with firewood provided. Good communication with agency that manages the property.

Fabulous Winter Chill Out with Friends

What an amazing location with beach front views, sounds of the sea and the green hills and sheep grazing out the back. A great house to relax in at night by the open fire, and explore the delights of Apollo. Bay from . The walk to town was just right to count as exercise. Stepping out across the road to I swim and retreat to a hot shower with plenty of water pressure was also a delight. It was a perfect location to enjoy the company of good friends when turning 50 is no big deal. I will be back with the family when the weather is warmer!

Easy check in & easy to find

Unlocking the door the place smelt musty & mouldy. Upstairs was ok but downstairs very strong mouldy smell that didn’t go away.

Livability of ground level rooms is bad with high level mold and smell that was not acceptable.

Had to move the children to upper level due to dampness and mold. Driveway access requires 4x4 car. Cleanliness of kitchen poor, milk still in fridge.

Lovely holiday house, spectacular ocean view

We had a wonderful time staying at this home in Apollo Bay. It is perfect for 1-2 families and had everything we needed. We would love to stay again.

A fantastic spot for a relaxed birthday weekend.

The location is the star of the show with this property: beach just across the road out the front, and rolling hills out the back. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and we enjoyed the loungeroom, which was full of comfy chairs. We look forward to coming back in the future.

Nice views as advertised. Hot water system only worked for limited time of the day. Wasn't enough for all the guests. After long cold rainy day at Otway national Park, there was no hot water for showers. Overall nice locality and excellent views

Short walk into town and right across the road from the beach. House was not very clean and the hot water took hours and hours to reheat.

Great location

Comfortable house for 2 families, has everything you need, although its a bit old. Fantastic views of the ocean to the front and mountains, bush and sheep to the back. Just cross the road to the beach

Great location

The property was located great, would definitely recommend and stay there again the only thing I could fault was the hot water, not enough for 5 people to have showers

Wonderfully located

The location of the property was amazing and encompassed the best of Apollo Bay, where the mountains meet the sea. The pictures don't show the backyard and view from the backdoor, which is just as good as the views of the beach from the front of the property. As other reviews have mentioned the property is not very clean and even though we bought our own products to clean the house on arrival it still felt quite dusty, especially the downstairs of the property. We only used the top floor, which was light and airy. I would stay again as a family of 4 using the top floor, but not sure I would recommend for larger groups utilising the bottom two rooms. The value for money was exceptional. Overall a lovely stay, we thoroughly enjoyed the views, the backyard, the open fire and the set up of the top floor with the large open area, really perfect for younger kids. Thank you.

Much to be desired

The property is perfectly located by the beach with a million dollar view. It's accessibility to shops and diners is definitely a super plus. However the dated and poorly maintained property was a major let down. We were created with cobwebs- not the most welcoming sight. Musty smell, dusty caused an allergy reaction. A minor update and a proper upkeep is desireable
