The first thing you notice after the drive up a very steep hill is the amazing views from the large windows in the unit

Very good unit and location 3km walk into town, easy walk along beach. Jack the town cabbie very friendly and cheap to get in and out of town if your having a drink Beware no aircon in unit.

Lorne getaway

This was a great location to participate in the Amy Gillett ride. Stunning views of the ocean with excellent proximity to Lorne being a few klms away fir dining.

Slightly disappointed

Property was clean, great view as per photos, pretty large with lots of outdoor space as well. For the reasonably high nightly price tag, we felt the property lacked finishing touches - a coffee machine, some (usable) tea and coffee (not cheap congealed coffee in a jar), tissues, decent toilet paper etc. The coffee table magazines from 2016 and cassette player really need to be retired…. Location is 4kms to Loren, so unfortunately we needed to drive to dinner.

The unit had a very unpleasant odour and was not clean to standard - chewing hum left in bedroom cupboard etc. There were no directions how to enter the property and where to leave the keys. Overpriced and unprofessionally managed and cleaned. Wotif should not promote such sloppy and unsafe holiday renting.

Happy Days

We have stayed at least a dozen times at this property so clearly we are more than happy with it. Our most recent stay was a little bit different given Melbourne was in lockdown. Our plan is to return for another stay in the next six months.

Nice place to stay

Great for those wanting to get awary from the hustle and bustle of Lorne. It tucked away near the bush with lots of wildlife. Great views and enjoyed our visit. Unit is well appointed with all the creature compforts. Would higly recommend.

View of the sea - Vista Di Mare

Fantastic little apartment. Clean and tidy. The kitchen has all utensils that you need if you feel like cooking. Relaxing, only sounds of ocean waves and birds and picturesque views. There was a slight problem with the locking of the front door that didn't bother us. However, the owners responded very quickly in repairing it. Personally, the bed could be better, but for a short stay, it was kind of ok. We would love to come back again.

Nice weekender away from town

Small unit which would be best for a weekend - a bit small / confined for a longer stay especially as our weather wasn’t conducive of taking up the outside options. Lounge furniture could be repositioned to take better advantage of the view. Bedroom view fantastic. Cutlery / kitchen equipment needs checking as we found some of it dirty from previous tenants and dishwasher was dirty. Good being away from the town and great walk along beach even if the steep climb back to the unit was a bit of a heart starter.

Great vista

Great views and located just outside of lorne. You will need a car to reach the main town. The apartment is a short walk to the beach, but a steep incline to walk back, so not suitable for older or people who have trouble with mobility. The accommodation has good services but needs a freshen up with regards bed linens.

Vista Di Mare- I'm in!

The accommodation I experienced at 11 Summerhills was more than adequate. It is lovely and quiet the unit is well equipped and the morning view from my pillow was lovely. The fold out bed is adequate although the plastic cover should be replaced with a calico cover at least very noisy and slippery. all in all great! The pizza pizza is as good as it gets lovely coffee every where in town. I will be back and if the Vista Di Mare is available Im in.

We love this little place.

We had a relaxing short holiday and even though it was winter time we were very comfortable. The apartment is in an ideal location and suits all our needs. I must admit to taking a long to turn around the car to go up the little hill to exit the place , I think it's probably best to reverse down the short drive but I wasn't game is nought to try.

Amazing views

We stayed here a couple of weekends ago. It was in a great location and had amazing views. We loved the rainbows which greeted us when we arrived and throughout the weekend. It was very easy to deal with the people at great ocean road real estate. We will be booking another holiday soon.
