Overall, the house was a great fit for our family. Plenty of rooms, and good living space. The view is beautiful from the living room. The bedroom in the basement isn't too inviting, but it is extra bed space if needed. Easy to get in and out of, close to Whistler village and to a lot of trails. (We had different family members in different houses - all in this area)
We had some issues with finding live and dead birds in the house, which we removed to outside. I am hoping home owner looks into the space where they came from and checks things out. We had little kids in the house, and really didn't want them in contact with that.
They are building a new gondola on the hill beside the house, and for 3 days (7am-7pm), there were helicopters flying cement up the hill. The noise was pretty unbearable. While the home owner had no idea this was happening, it really put a damper on part of our week. It was a big expense for the house(and we are okay with the price), but to be woken up and have the noise continuous for those 3 days, was horrible. I'm not sure if construction will continue throughout the summer.
And just bring eye masks if you stay in the summer. The daylight starts around 5am, and some bedroom windows don't have blinds.
Overall, Whistler is a beautiful area, and has a lot to offer. We will hopefully be able to visit again.
