Our cleaning standards are usually immaculate, as you can see by our reviews. We have briefed the cleaners who prepared this house, they informed us the oven was cleaned, I'm not sure if a small amount of residual was left at the back of the oven? Staff are trained to notice cooking smells, and perhaps did not notice as the windows were open upon there arrival to the house, however when they left it was locked up ready for your arrival, which may have contained any previously undetected smell? Upon your departure, no fish smell was detected. We do apologise that this has impacted your stay. We do ask for guests in all of our correspondence, to please contact us if you need assistance, we unfortunately can't assist if we were aware there was an issue. We would have liked to rectify that for you very quickly. We are very sorry this has occurred during your stay. The owners have put a lot of time and love into this property to ensure guests have a wonderful time. It means a lot to us to help create wonderful memories for the guests that stay with us and visit this very special region.
