Great place in Northstar!

This was a beautiful place to stay at in a great location! It is 15 mins to Tahoe and 15 mins to Truckee. I loved the fireplace, big kitchen, and spacious house. I would stay here again!

Spacious!

We had a wonderful stay at this rental, it was clean, well stocked and there was plenty of room and things to do here on down time. Its very close to the Lake and downtown Truckee. Go eat at Jax on the Tracks! We recommend staying here.

Great house, perfect location

Everything we needed for a great family vacation. Plenty of room for everyone. The shuffleboard table was fun and the kitchen had all that we needed. The location is perfect between Truckee and the lake. We used the on site pool several days, which was very nice. Only downside were the pillows. All were flat and could use replacing

Everything you need

I have never stayed in a VRBO location with such a well stocked kitchen. We had plenty of room for 5 adults and four children. The grandchildren loved the shuffleboard and four person arcade game. The large coffee table surrounded by the sectional was perfect for playing games with the family. The only thing I would have enjoyed having is more outdoor chairs for the back deck.

Great for a group stay

Nice floor plan, met our needs for space. However, lacking cleanliness, walls and baseboards very dirty. Minimal supplies provided, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap. Missing sheets on bed, broken pan lid, missing blinds in living room, (very warm) with no covering on one window in the afternoon. Great location and space just need to kick it up a notch.

Great location, Fun House

House is so easy to get in and out of, perfectly situated at Northstar. Close to golf, the mountain, hiking/biking, the village at Northstar. The access to the facility for pool, pickleball, exercise was perfect for us. The house was fun! Comfortable rooms and a great social family room/kitchen area upstairs with a fun video game and/or shuffleboard. Competitions galore for day-long bragging rites! The garage fit a car and all our gear (mtn bikes, golf clubs, etc). And, the grill worked awesome! We’ll be back!

Spacious but needs some love

The house worked well for us. It could use a good cleaning. The carpets in this pet friendly home are stained, and there is a corresponding odor. The driveway and sidewalks had not been swept in what appeared to ge a long time.communication was great.

Great location, nice place

The house is located directly right after the Northstar rotunda. You can use an app to book a shuttle directly to the resort. The house is very spacious and offers space for 4 cars. We were missing towels in the kitchen, but that might have been an incident. The procedures are very strict: no sound or external lights after 9PM and have to do garbage run and start dishwasher and washing machine on check-out, after paying both cleaning and service fees. All-in-all, we had a great Northstar trip!

Nice place, excellent location and shuttle service

Overall, this place was nice. Enough space for our party of 6 adults and a 1 yr old. A crib or Pack & Play and a high chair would have been nice. We had to buy a pack and play locally. The property was a little tired and needs a bit of TLC. Hot tub was empty and locked up. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Loved the living room and fireplace. Due to all the snow, the front steps were icy and treacherous. Previous tennants left a bag of garbage for us to haul out for them. Perhaps tennants should not be expected to haul garbage off site? Workout facility parking was full and so was the facility itself.

Had a great time

The house is large and in a nice neighborhood. The house itself was probably updated in the 1990's. Good beds, sheets and towels. There is water damage on the walls and ceiling upstairs and needs paint and new floors throughout the house. Kitchen and bathrooms need a major remodel, the cupboard doors stick. Also possibly some mold in the downstairs bathroom? The rec center costs 10. Instead of 3 and the arcade is not there right now. The wifi went out while we were there and the management company did investigate and it was turned back on. We had a great time hiking and playing games and actually really enjoyed ourselves.

Caddyshack

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The house was a great size, the beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was huge. Our check-in was delayed as they were still cleaning the house until 4:30. When we did get in, there was a strong smell of animal waste that never went away. Also, the laundry was still going when we walked in. We had to remove a load from the dryer and move a load of towels from the washer into the dryer. The carpet needs a really good shampoo. Our feet and socks were extremely. dirty after walking around the house. The lights in the kitchen and dining area flickered non-stop. Also, the dining table was filthy. We also were very disappointed with the back deck. It was covered in several weeks worth of leaves and dust, and there was very little furniture for our group to sit on outside. Also, the BBQ that was pictured on the deck was actually in the garage. This posed a problem when we were making dinner.

The house is exactly as listed in the pictures and right on the edge of the Northstar resort so if you want to ski this would be a great place. It was clean and the host responded quickly to all messages. The bunk beds were great for our older kids but a bit higher for the little kids, and one of the ladders is removable so it could be an issue for young kids.

Plugs don’t work and place was dirty

8 girls staying at a place and none of the bathroom plugs worked. Kitchen was barely stocked and the showers were dirty. The HOA light policy were the lights had to be off at 10pm is incredibly unsafe when you are traveling and of course going out to dinner and staying out for drinks! Received multiple emails coming up to the event stating I’d you broke any of the HOA rules, including the lights policy you would be fined and Immediately evicted. The location was good and there was a lot of room and the Rec center was amazing. Tried multiple times to contact the property management company with no one picking up.

Beautiful home

The home was a 10 minute drive to kings beach and to downtown truckee! Amazing location! Make sure you enjoy the amenities that are provided because we almost missed out! The community pool is amazing and a great place to relax! Plenty of room in the home for my family

Average home in a beautiful location next to a busy highway

Carpets were filthy. My husband swept the outside and garage-dirty, if you like to cook (we had 3 great cooks) with us the kitchen pots pans utensils horrible, found a pot above refrig burnt with water in it. Mouse droppings on kitchen counters stains on ceiling, never used BBQ-used fork on deck, cigarette pack on balcony with used butts in it-house smelt like cigarettes when you first walked in Pictures must have been taken when carpet was first put in ! The house Is very used but we love Northstar stayed lots of times. Oh beds were comfortable!!!!

Great property!

Overall, really nice. Most everything was as advertised. Only surprise was having to pack out our trash. Wasn’t expecting that from the listing, but at least they made it clear once you arrive. Other than that, it’s like the perfect getaway for families with kids. We were 2 families with kids and have a very enjoyable time.

Perfect Northstar Weekend

Our “pod” just returned from a terrific weekend stay at this Northstar home! It was perfect for our group. Plenty of sleeping space, the kitchen is huge. Everything was clean. The good-sized living room has a very comfy sectional and the fireplace warmed us all after a great day on the mountain. The location is super easy to find. A nice, refreshing walk to the village. We hope to return next winter.

Great Place for Big Family

This was a great place for a big family with teens! Easy access to biking and jogging; tons of games to keep the kids busy indoors. The house can fit 12 people with tons of space left! Kitchen and dining area had ample of space to hang out specially if you have lots of “chefs” in the family. Most Importantly, House, Towels were clean and sheets! The area is also in a very nice place and near a golf course and hiking/lake. The only thing about the house, hot tub is locked (cannot use it) and the walls are super thin. You can hear everything from the noise upstairs to the first floor. But if you’re OK with that, this place is great.

Great for large group, especially with kids.

Location is perfect. Super close to Northstar Village. Great for families and large groups, especially with kids. House was pretty clean and had everything we needed. Only negative is that the hot tub was unusable. Looked like it hadn't been maintained in awhile. But overall, really nice place and solid VRBO experience.
