Helpful and friendly hosts, delicious breakfast supplied, comfortable beds, clean bathroom with useful items like hairdryer. Location was perfect, safe and quiet with regular and reliable public transport.

Elizabeth and Neil we're very welcoming and provided everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The B&B was spacious, sorry and had great views with a lovely little balcony too sit with shade of the trees. The location was perfect for us with many ships and restaurants locally and only a short walk to the ferry stop. The buses also ran regularly so all in all it was a great stay.

Elizabeth and Neil we're very welcoming and helpful during our 2 stays in Sydney. The B&B is a really lovely, spacious place which is very comfortable. The balcony with views towards the harbour is sorry and a nice place to sit out plus the breakfast provided with homemade yogurt, jam and fruit compote etc is a great start to the day. We were so pleased to have booked 3 days followed by another 2 after a short break in the mountains as it felt like coming home again! We would definitely recommend it!

Neil and Elisabeth were so welcoming and relaxed. Being locals ourselves it was great to chat about shared interests and not worry about our over friendly dog! Property is in a great location and we particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the afternoon as the cooler breeze blew in off the water . Highly recommended.

We had a terrific stay with Elisabeth and Neil and would recommend An Oasis for lots of reasons: wonderful hosts who made us feel so welcome and who genuinely understand the meaning of hospitality, great location close to restaurants and shops, very comfortable accommodation, and terrific spaces for doggies nearby. We hope to return!

Loved everything about this stay. The host neil was amazing. The unit was set up with fresh homemade condiments and everything you could think of was there. The views are perfect and access to ferry and buses are a few minutes walk.

We had a great stay at Neil and Lizzy’s studio apartment. We were made to feel very welcome and we also had our privacy. The apartment is spacious and very comfortable, and it was the perfect base for our 3 night stay. The breakfast supplies were very generous and tasty. We would happily stay again and recommend it to others.

This accom was perfect for our weekend away. As well as being spotlessly clean, our hosts had thought of everything to make us feel comfortable and very welcomed. Breakfast supplies were delicious! We really appreciated their prompt communication and local area advice, as well as the off street car space - a big bonus in Balmain.

It really is an oasis!

What a magical place to stay. Everything is thought of, from comfortable beds to delicious breakfast foods. Off street parking was also an unexpected bonus! The view is amazing from the deck and it really does feel like an escape. Highly recommended.

Magical Spot

What a gem! Our hosts Elisabeth and Neil were fantastic hosts. And their daily breakfast supplies with Elisabeth's homemade jam and fruit compote delights added icing to the top of the Colgate Avenue cake. You really don't need a car as you have two ferry terminals and frequent bus services close by as well as a wonderful selection of cafes and restaurants to choose from. And did we mention you have a harbour view from your own deck? We'll be back!

Moving to the Balmain area from Brisbane

Elisabeth and Neil are great hosts and they are very friendly!Everything needed was supplied, breakfast cereals, bread for toast with butter and Vegemite, they also supplied fresh orange juice, fruit and yogurt it was so good to start the day with something to eat before I ventured out for the day.

Pet Friendly in a wonderful location

We had a great stay with our cavoodle dogs at this property. The hosts were welcoming and we had everything we needed. Everything was very clean and thoughtfully laid out. Great location near many great walks and the property has scenic views. Will stay again when in Sydney!

Great stay in Balmain

Elisabeth and Neil are excellent hosts of a very comfortable, spotlessly clean property in a fantastic location with its own view from the deck - close to ferries, buses, pubs, parks and cafes and with a parking spot.

Great place away from the city

We had a lovey stay there for 6 nights. Ferry into down town just a few blocks away. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. Landlord was easy to work with and ver knowledgeable about where to go and how to get there. We used the ferry, bus, and uber to get around

Our 3 night stay was amazing. The lovely details of the breakfast aspect was above and beyond. The coziness and the character of the space was beautiful. Highly recommended - great location, views and people!

Our two nights stay at the Oasis in Balmain was fantastic. The loft room is spacious and comfortable, the view from your private deck are stunning. Perfect location with amazing views. All amenities were provided. Felt like being in a home with character and comfort. Stroll to the shops or the waterfront. And our furry companion was welcomed and enjoyed the stay very much. Neil and Lizzie went out of their way to help and provided everything we needed including the makings of a yummy breakfast each day.A memorable city break - in the end we didn’t leave Balmain. So much to see and do and a real escape from the busyness of the city. We will be back!

A real find!

We were at the end of our holiday in Australia and needed a short stay in Sydney with easy access to the airport. We could not have found a better spot! Neil and Elizabeth have made a delightfully comfortable Oasis in the City with every possible detail covered. We were sorry it was such a short stay but I’m sure we’ll be back next trip.
