A lovely modern 2 bedroom home with new decor, kitchen, bathroom and 2 conservatories. it's very well equipped to make your stay very comfortable and relaxing with sea views from the lounge, deck and conservatory. The heat pump heats the entire home very quickly. Games, books and childrens toys. Linen is suppled. A smart TV and wifi.
short walk to swimming and surfing beaches, Beach house cafe/restaurant and takeaways/diary. Chidrens playground close by.
More's scenic reserve has great walking tracks and bush walks with a coastal return loop as well. Great view of Riverton from the top of the bush walks you can see Colac Bay and Stewart Island. 2 minute drive or short walk along the waterfront to the supermarket, open 7 days. Other cafes In Riverton township, a wonderful museum, mitre 10, and public swimming pool. 9 hole golf course. Colac Bay is a short drive. Orepuki has a lovely cafe and Gem stone beach. Riverton's Mitchell's bay ideal for surfing and swimming Dolphins are often seen in the bay. Taramea Bay ideal swimming spot as well.

wonderful stay

Nice, comfortable house, well equipped and close to the beach. Friendly host.we stayed for 5 weeks and enjoyed every moment.

attractive place for a stqy in riverton

A very attractive small house , very well equipped (although we would have liked a dish washer) and very comfortable. We will definitely hope to stay again as we want to spend more time in Southland.

Cozy Cottage by the sea

This place was everything it had been advertised as and more. It was a beautiful, cozy, clean, warm, comfortable, inviting and welcoming place to stay and the moment I stepped through the door I had no option but to relax The cottage had everything we needed and even supplied what I wanted . .. . . A view of the sea. Not only from the lounge but also the dining room and the kitchen sink and basically every room I entered We absolutely loved our stay here and Barbara was amazing to deal with. She was very prompt with replies gave very clear instructions and nothing was a problem. I absolutely loved the homely touches through out the Cottage and I very quickly fell in love with several of the crochet blanket over the backs of the sofa's and arm chairs. The love they had been made with came shining through loud and clear and gave the place a lovely homely feel The bed in the main room was very comfortable to sleep in, the shower was amazing and there was fantastic water pressure throughout the house. The kitchen was great to work in and the balcony was fantastic to just sit on while knitting and watching the world go by as the waves crashing on the shore below you The neighbours were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome in their lovely wee community I would give this place a 10 / 10

What a cosy and gorgeous place! Barbara was an excellent host and communicated very well. I’d say the photos on the site don’t do it justice! It’s even better in the flesh. Such a lovely home away from home. We will be back!

Perfect getaway

Very tidy and warm house. Well set up with all you need for a hassle free stay. Views of the bay and a nice stroll to the beach. Very good value and would definitely stay again. Thanks very much.

Winter break in Riverton

awesome little spot for our weekend winter break away in Riverton. Barbaras property is in an awesome location, 5 min walk down to the beach for a morning stroll and right next to the estuary outlet for a wee fish (although no luck this time!), house was super warm, very clean and all the facilities required for a comfortable stay. thanks barbara

Great little batch!

We really enjoyed our stay at Barbara's beach house. Very clean and well equiped (kids toys, bodyboards, books, kitchen ware, blankets). The heater kept us very cosy & warm for the cold weather. The only unfortunate part was the double mattress which could be upgraded. Merci Barbara!

Amazing Retreat to Relax and Explore the Area

We spent three nights at this lovely retreat. The place was very clean, and we felt right at home the moment we walked through the door. The weather was rainy and windy yet we were cozy and enjoyed the view. Great location and we really enjoyed exploring the area. It had everything we needed. The host responded instantly to our one inquiry, we couldn’t be happier with our stay.

Fantastic stay!

A fantastic spot to spend a few days in. Arrived cold and damp on motorbikes for the Burt Munro week. Faced with little option for dinner as it was raining. Rang Aparima restaurant and they came and picked us up and dropped us off after dinner! The house had everything we needed. It was a pleasure to stay here.

I am a self employed Quilter and Seamstress. Married to Terry we have 2 Adult sons and 1 Adult daughter and 4 beautiful Grandchildren. A holiday home in Riverton has been a longtime dream for our family and we are delighted to be able to share it. My husband and I are also keen gardeners.
