My sister and I searched for a place on Lake Delton that would allow her to bring her little Havanese with her. The ‘Vintage Cabin’ was right on the lake, and the setting was beautiful and peaceful. The beds were comfortable, the linens more than enough, and I appreciated the washer and dryer. And I almost finished one of the puzzles the provided! Next time we will know to bring everything we need to prepare our own meals, as not all restaurants have an outdoor patio that allow leashed, well-behaved pets like the little dog who was our companion. All in all, it was a restful, quiet home for us for the three nights we spent there.

Eileen, thank you so much for choosing Vintage Cabin for your stay on Lake Delton. I’m so glad you and your sister found the setting peaceful and enjoyed having the little Havanese along — it’s a perfect spot for quiet mornings by the water. It’s wonderful to hear the beds, linens, and stocked bathrooms worked well for you, and I love that you almost finished one of the puzzles. Thank you also for the note about meal prep and pet‑friendly patios; that’s helpful feedback for future guests. We’re delighted you had a restful three‑night stay and would love to welcome you back anytime.

The nightly rate seemed fair at first, but once all the extra fees were added in, the true cost ended up being well over 500 per night. At that price point, my expectations were higher. The house is not very clean, and because there is no landscaping, tracking in dirt is a constant issue. The property management provides only the bare minimum necessities, and the kitchen is very basic. I like to cook while traveling and found it very difficult to do so here. We still had a great time and made the best of it, but in my opinion, the overall value doesn't quite match the final price tag.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re glad to hear you still enjoyed your time at the property, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience. Regarding the pricing: the nightly rate is set before taxes and platform‑added fees, and we understand how the final total can feel higher once everything is combined. We always aim to be transparent about costs and will continue reviewing how this information is presented. As for cleanliness and the landscaping: we’re sorry to hear this impacted your stay. The home is in a wooded, natural setting, which can make tracking in sand and dirt more common, but your comments are helpful and will be shared with our team so we can look at ways to improve this. On kitchen supplies: we provide the standard essentials for short‑term stays, but we understand that guests who enjoy cooking may prefer a more fully stocked setup. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll be reviewing what additional items may be beneficial to add. We’re glad you made the best of your time and enjoyed your trip overall. Thank you again for staying with us — your feedback helps us continue improving the experience for future guests.

Charming property on a quiet cove creating a relaxing atmosphere. Sand beach made getting the SUPs and kayaks out easy. Three season porch provided beautiful views and a great place for eating and games. Kitchen could benefit from a couple large serving bowls. In cabin washer dryer was very handy. Air conditioning kept as all comfortable even in 80-90 degree heat.

Great start to summer!

We really enjoyed our stay; the cottage is beautifully appointed and very functional. We found the cottage well organized and clean. Everything we needed was there which was fantastic! Bedrooms have better space than it looked online even and the living room/indoor porch are both AMAZING! The location was great and we spent a LOT of time in and on the water. The only suggestion I have is to possibly have the cleaning company check the yard/beach for debris when they come clean between guests.

Peaceful and pleasant.

Great view out the 4 season porch. The place is very comfortable and well equipped. One suggestion is instructions for operating the TV/DVD player. We had trouble getting a signal and didn’t know what to do. But they sent somebody out so we wouldn’t miss the Packer game 😀. The staff we encountered were professional, friendly and helpful. Thank for great place to celebrate my wife’s birthday.

Great Place, Steep Driveway

Great place and comfortable. Has a wonderful view right on the lake and a great 4 seasons room to look at the water from. There is a very steep driveway that is difficult to get out of and would be bad if it was icy or snowy. We didn't have any issues because it was dry, but you need to be wary of vehicles when driving out of it. Close to everything in the Dells including the water parks but secluded enough for some quiet. Had an issue with the AC / Heater units which all seemed to stop working on our last night which made it hot and difficult to sleep. Overall great stay.

Decent cabin

I agree with most of the reviews. The cabin was laid out nicely and would be an awesome small family getaway if you wanted to be on the lake. In totality, it was a nice place. I will say that the grill is on its last legs and I had to shut one bedroom door due to the noise coming from one of the HVAC systems (sounds like a bearing is going).

Great location, very functional cabin… however…

For starters the check in process was ridiculous- after 3 hour drive, we had to drive downtown dells to an EMPTY management office just to call the main number and get a lockbox combo… not sure why the lockbox couldn’t be on site !!!??? The cabin was extremely functional for a family - amenities were great - washer dryer, dishwasher, toaster, ac in every room which was extremely efficient , fireplace. However - the cabin was not clean when we got there - there were clumps of hair in the shower of variety of colors - gross. Also toilet seat had dried stains on it which I cleaned as soon as we got there - again - gross. Additionally there were spiderwebs and spiders EVERYWHERE- every corner including bathrooms had multiple webs- spiders were everywhere - if it wasn’t for the fact that someone left a review just two weeks before us I would’ve thought it was vacant for a year…. It may be due to the fact that the front door should be replaced including the front door screen ? Also agree with prior reviewers - charcoal grill is not usable - looks like someone detonated a firework there or something, getting down to the parking off the street is so steep we would scrape the engine of a minivan - until we figured out the right angle, dock is too short to even jump off for a swim but sand at the shore so we were swimming off the beach. With small improvements it would have been an amazing experience.

VINATGE CABIN STAY

Great location, view & lodging. Loved the deck, sunroom & firepit area. Loved the ability to drive down to the cabin for unloading/loading luggage & for senior citizen accessibility. Only critique is that the top of the driveway is "humped up" in a way that your car exhaust will hit/drag if you don't enter/exit just at the correct angle.
