We stayed with 6 adults and 2 kids for a family vacation. The house was very comfortable for our group, and we appreciated the upstairs living area and deck for views and board games. We saw a few brown heads pop up in the canal - sea lions I think? Great star-gazing during the new moon and meteor shower, and bald eagles flew overhead a few times.
We had great clamming and oyster harvesting nearby at Belfair Park! The drive to any "tourist" area is 2+ hours in any direction, so keep that in mind if you're looking to explore the Peninsula.
It was unusually hot during our visit (90+ degrees). Consider the temps when deciding who gets which bedroom - the master bedroom was very warm with no fan to move the cooler night air, while the queen room on the other end of the house was significantly cooler.
Great communication from our Hosts, and we appreciated the stack of brochures and maps available in the house. The kids loved the game room, and I really appreciated the little things in the kitchen: plastic wrap and aluminum foil were great to have on-hand! We also picked tons of delicious blackberries on the property and down by the beach.
