Comfortable Family Home
We were very comfortable in this well equipped home. While not modern, it was made very livable in so many ways, eg. all the windows were screened so we could allow fresh lovely fresh breezes through the apartment and not have to use the A/C (it was winter here). The kitchen had all the basics for us to prepare most of our meals at home. The tiny back 'yard' with clotheslines made it easy to dry our clothes washed at home. We found the bed a little small for my 6'2" husband but not unworkable. There is a small grocery store only 2 blocks away; more shopping and restaurants at a 5 min walk: a yoga studio and health food store with vegetarian restaurant 4 blocks away; a local pub just around the corner with live weekend entertainment; 3 gyms in the area and 10 min walk to the nearest beach that was very good for swimming. There is a seawall for nice walks only 5 min away. The neighborhood is active and busy with many families. The host was very helpful and spoke English; he took us on a walking tour of the local district so we had an idea where to find shops and services. We felt it was excellent value as a stay.
