Great view clean place

This was a great place to stay. Owners are super communicative. The place was about the cleanest place I have ever stayed. Bed and pillows was just right. Futon in living room folded out to sleep another. Perfect size kitchen that gets the jobs done. The place is right on the water and couldn’t have been prettier. Again it was great and I’d stay there again.

Nestled away off of the beaten path

We didn't use the room much due to the fact we were in town visiting family. I was very disappointed we didn't take advantage of the kayaks etc. It really was a lovely place to rest and play if that is what you come for. The kitchen was adequately stocked. The owner happened to be there when we checked in and made a point to introduce himself and to let us know if we need anything to make sure and reach out .

Peace & Quiet

The "Carriage House" was great. The on-site owners were very nice and responsive. The place had all we needed and plenty of space. The location was super peaceful and quiet if that is what you need, you'll be certain to get it here. There are two things to be aware of though: the lake has no fish and the last one mile of road is a REALLY bumpy dirt road. If these are not an issue, you should definitely try this place!

Absolutely Wonderful

This place is exactly as described. You are literally in your own little paradise on the lake but within a short drive to town. The bed is the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in! 10:10 recommend

Nice relaxing place.

Great peaceful slice of Alaska for you to enjoy! Beautiful lake, pier and small boats for your pleasure. The outdoor firepit by the lake was priceless, as most places do not offer such. It made it so much more relaxing! Host were super nice and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Peaceful seclusion

This place is AWESOME! The host, Jay, went above and beyond with this place... it's beautiful, quiet and secluded and covered all of our needs. He even left fresh salmon for us to try. If you're looking for a quiet get-a-way this is the place for you. Jay was excellent about responding when I reached out to him and gaining entry was seamless. The location is ideal if you're wanting to hit some trails, visit Independence Mine up Hatcher Pass, or even a trip up to Denali is just three hours away...not bad at all. We were very pleased with our accomodations and it is aesthetically pleasing.

Alaska Adventure - Stop Number 3

Great place! Spacious and clean! Jay and Kate thought of everything, including cream for our coffee. Jay gave us some salmon that he caught and it was the best salmon that we have ever grilled. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Tranquil setting and all amenities

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Well appointed kitchen and outdoor cooking. Very peaceful setting on a very private lake. The hosts are wonderful and have many recommendations of restaurants and nearby activities. Kayak’s, canoes, paddle boat and lovely floating dock to sit in the evenings with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee in the early mornings.

Perfect for our desired experience. Isolated, peaceful location in woods 1 hour from Anchorage.

Great hosts. Good communications. Serene, immaculate grounds. Spacious carriage house apartment. Need to be able to negotiate steep stairs. We're in our 70's, and loved the peace and quiet. We enjoy driving, and used this as a base to explore from Denali down to Seward.

Great Location

The location was so peace full and beautiful. Full of wild life and great views of the lake. Cabin was very clean and bed was comfortable, kitchen had everything you would need to cook a meal.

Awesome Retreat

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay here! The apartment is beautiful, central to the few things we had planned during our trip, and was the perfect retreat for our vacation. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay for anyone who’s looking to make a trip to Alaska, and would love to stay here again ourselves.

Hideaway at Misty Lake

It was close to town, but away from the noise. Very private, beautiful retreat that was both kid and adult friendly. Jason is a great host that is very responsive and easy to contact if needed. We highly recommend this Misty Lake Carriage Home VRBO.
