Dog friendly, beach access, well stocked

Fenced yard (just be careful with lil dogs who try to escape). House was very well stocked. Kitchen essentials, some spices, sugar, syrup, oil, etc. Dog bowls, treats, and toys. Garage has a couple beach cruiser bikes, beach chairs, kite, beach umbrella, although we never used any of it. Some laundry detergent, but be careful because the hot/cold is connected backwards. Plenty of toilet paper, bedding, and towels. Beach access is a short walk, then 111 stairs going down to the beach. Ages 3-55 years old enjoyed without any trouble. Other beaches without stairs can be accessed by a short drive, or a long walk with many steep hills. Park and fire pit are a short walk downhill. House could use some updates and TLC. Stains on carpet and sides of couch upstairs show evidence of a pet friendly home. (Definitely there before our arrival since our pups wear diapers indoors.) Also many weeds in the yard. AC didn’t seem to work well, but weather allowed us to open windows for a breeze. Overall nice home which we enjoyed. Don’t expect perfection and you won’t be disappointed. I’d still stay here again and also recommend to others. Highly recommend 101 Burger near Taft and also Drift Creek Falls hike which is great for all ages.

Barnacle bay

Needs to be deep cleaned. Lots of dust, cobwebs, mold in the main shower.Carpets need to be cleaned.Kitchen & living room was great!

Not clean

Needs a deep clean and some TLC. We arrived to filthy ceiling fan in master bedroom, literally dust bunnies hanging off of it over the bed. We cleaned it. The broom had hair and filth hanging off of it. The filth behind beds, dressers, under all surfaces was really too much to ignore. Top of the fridge .. Ick. The freezer stunk like old fish. The basement where the game tables are had no heat and carpets had not been vacuumed in a while. If i were the homeowner and showed up i would be horrified. The stereo/receiver area was super dusty and no instructions on how to use any of it. 6 remotes! Really! We were there to enjoy downtime with our adult child. One mans dirt is anothers clean, but really it seemed like someone was hoping we just wouldnt see it or say anything. We will not return to this property.

Nice home for family

Nice home to stay with family 4 adults, 2 children, nice game room in basement, loft for the kids to play games or watch tv. Walk to the beach a couple blocks away, but quite a few stairs. Not many people on the beach in that area

Barnacle Bay

The property itself was very nice, pretty clean altho some of the walls were dirty and could use a scrub. Beds were comfortable. Supplies were great in the kitchen and the kids loved the game room downstairs. Could use a tv in the game room tho to make it better. The neighbor was a real pain in the ass!

Somethings need more cleaning and charged fees when not using.

There is something sticky on the back of the downstairs door the window going upstairs has lots of cobwebs. The were some sticky dishes and a towel in the kitchen and I don't fill like you should be charged a fee for the Hot tub unless you use it, and we didn't. Other then this it was great.

Great Beach Getaway

The property itself overall was great, good sized kitchen and multiple bathrooms. The drain was pretty clogged in the upstairs bathroom. The listing says it sleeps 9 people, bed-wise it only sleeps 6. There are couches for sleeping, but we were slightly confused by stating it sleeps 9. There are more bathrooms than the listing states. In all everyone was happy and loved the location! (Humans & dogs :) )

Love the house and location

Meridith property management not very responsive. The night desk could not help with the simple request for WiFi password. When we were supposed to evacuate due to fire in the area, the only notification from Meredith management was an email. I tried calling and texting them for more info, with no response. No emergency information is posted on their online guest portal, or in the house.

One of the best!

My wife and I visit Lincoln City at least twice a year. While that might not seem like much we have to drive over five hours to get there and drive through Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia and Portland to get there. That said, we like to make sure the trip is worth the drive, and our stay at Barnacle Bay was certainly make that trip worthwhile! The house was spotless, and very roomy. The neighborhood was quiet, even with a home nearby that was being constructed! Once we learned how to get to the beach, everything just seem to snap into place. Overall, my wife and I cannot think of a thing that was wrong, even if we were to nit-pick. Some might complain about the mattresses on the beds but frankly, there is no mattress I have ever slept on except my own that feels 100%. We hope to come back again soon. We are already looking at the remaining calendar for 2020 to see what we might be able to squeeze in!

Barnacle Bay house

This is a lovely house. It was the perfect size for our family. The only issue we had that was truly not perfect plus the fact that the hot tub was not working, and we were not notified of this before we checked in. We were told that vendors would be repairing it but it did not happen during our stay. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay with our son and his family, and our grandchildren enjoyed the house very much with the game room and the media room.

Troubling at first

When we arrived and opened the door, marijuana smell hit us hard. Opened all windows and both downstairs doors then opened windows upstairs. Not a nice experience!! With the exception of that experience everything was great
