My family of 5 stayed in the Beach House for 8 days. It was great for a family. You can not beat the location of this property. The open air rooms were perfect for listening to the crash of the waves steps away from the house as we fell asleep at night. We watched the sunrise as we drank coffee on the beach. We saw monkeys, Scarlet Macaws, hermit crabs, a Black and White owl, and two sloths on the property!
Ted set up Marjorie to cook for us two nights. We bought the ingredients and she cooked. I have no idea how she turned what we bought into what we ate but it was delicious! Book her if you can.
The beach right out front of the house is great for surfing but to swim we walked to Playa Pan Dulce. It was about a 20 minute walk with kids and great with natural shade and sandy beach. We would come back, hang up the swimsuits on the line and in the morning pick the driest feeling one off the line and do it again!
The drive to the house was fun according to me and the kids, my wife decided she is not a big fan of off-road driving. You need to have a vehicle with good clearance to get there. There are two streams to cross that were about 9" deep (until some heavy rain and then they were about 24" deep). It is a solid half hour from town so bring what you need with you.
We were concerned with the weather forecast (85% chance of thunderstorms every single day) but it turned out to rain at night mostly and a little some afternoons. We had great weather despite the forecast and being the green season.
Ted was onsite, available for any questions, and was ready to help with suggestions of things to do.
All in all this place may be "out there" and take some time to get to, but you can not beat the location.
