roof leaked. AC unit drained on the floor making the tile slippery. dogs next door (20 feet away) barked most the time. lots of ants in the unit. no microwave. water was off for most of one day.

Peaceful Stay with Exceptional Hospitality in Guápiles

Our stay at David and Donna's VRBO in Guápiles was outstanding. Despite our late arrival due to a delayed flight, they ensured a smooth check-in, showcasing their exceptional hospitality right from the start. The property is a tranquil oasis, beautifully furnished, providing a serene escape with all the comforts of home. We stayed in Apartment 2, which suited us perfectly with its open layout, creating a spacious and welcoming atmosphere. For those who prefer distinct, cozy areas, Apartment 1 offers a charming alternative with its unique, segmented layout. David and Donna's attentiveness and warmth made our visit memorable. Their VRBO is an excellent choice for anyone seeking peace and comfort in Guápiles, offering both excellent accommodations and remarkable hospitality. Highly recommended for a delightful stay!

The location is quiet and safe.

Great and very safe location. The beds are comfortable, wifi worked well. We had everything we needed. Communication with Donna was always very quick and efficient. Thank you so much.

Just Short of Great

Sometimes you want to just check in and not have to meet the owners, but in this case it was much appreciated. Donna explained a lot about the house and the yard. Unfortunately, the pool looked very bad, but she explained that in order to re-paint it they need many days in a row with no rain and we weren't quite in dry season. The water was clean and treated, I believe, but didn't look anything like the cover photo on their listing. The listing also said there was a washer there and it was one of the reasons we chose that house. Unfortunately it ended up being laundry service you had to pay for. The laundry area was quite messy and didn't look very professional so we didn't use the service. it was SO nice to have air conditioners in the bedroom. We used them and slept very well. We enjoyed the house very much and had a fun dinner at a pizza restaurant that Donna recommended.

Parfait pour passer d’un océan à l’autre!

Nous avons réservé cette habitation puisque nous voulions séparer la route, allant de la côte ouest à la côte est et c’était parfait. Les hôtes sont supers disponibles et de bons conseils. Il faut faire la marche près de la rivière pour aller se baigner dans l’eau limpide ( ne vous laisser pas berner par la couleur de l’eau au départ!!) La maison est à air ouverte, sauf pour les chambres et la salle de bain, ce qui implique bestioles et gecko, évidemment. Seul point à améliorer à mon avis; enlever les toiles d’araignées dans les chambres, au plafond!

Perfect stop over...wanted to stay longer!

This apartment was absolutely GORGEOUS! Donna could be a professional interior designer. Your mouth will drop open when you walk inside. And... the apartment was immaculate and comfortable. Donna was a breath of fresh air.... we had great discussions about the area and what there is to see and do... and her husband Dave was also extremely helpful. The backyard was gorgeous; filled with tropical birds and even pineapples! The pool was inviting although we only stayed one night and didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy it. So, while you are searching for a place to stay, no need to look any further! I promise you will love this spot!
