Sunset Hills Ranch was a wonderful place to spend Christmas with nearby family. Charlotte and Betsy were warm and welcoming, and the property was just as described. The bed was so comfortable, wow! Will definitely be back.

Betsy and Charlotte were both welcoming and available to answer questions. Absolutely beautiful setting; very quiet, comfortable and perfect for 2, but a foldout is available for additional person if needed. If you're eating in, the kitchen is fully functional with many appliances.There is an amazing infinity pool that I'm sure is wonderful in the summertime. There is a pretty decent size workout room with professional equipment. We lost our old dog last year and we absolutely fell in love with the resident greeter and surveyor of the property, Tulsa. It was really special having her meet us in the driveway everyday. I hope we get to come back to our hometown and enjoy this home again during pool season. Thank you for hosting us.Darlene and Rick

First, great night skys! This property is well located, great retreat, and nearby Sutter Creek town is adorable with wonderful food/dining options - we loved our stay and really appreciated the personal touch of hand made happy birthday signs for my wife’s 50th!

The description doesn't even come close to how beautiful this apartment and Hillside views are! The natural rock infinity pool is gorgeous with a hot tub and a waterfall. And the view just sitting by the pool drinking morning coffee or evening wine is exquisite. The accommodations were perfect for us. We were on a wine tasting three day weekend trip.. the beds were cozy. The managers/owners were extremely accommodating. I obviously definitely recommend this place.

This property and the hosts who curate it are wonderful! Everything about our stay was as advertised or better than we expected. The interior had all we needed. The fridge is an actual antique and is perfectly functional but a bit small, so don’t plan on stocking it up. The pool was clean and the view across the foothills was serene. I watched hummingbirds, woodpeckers, hawks, and wild turkeys all around the beautiful landscape in mid September. The nearby small airport had some fixed wing and helicopter traffic that was not an intrusion at all. I personally enjoyed watching them come and go. Nearby Sutter Creek and Jackson have plenty of dining and shops if you wish to leave for a bit. Thank you!

This turned out to be a wonderful experience and stay at this property. The check-in was easy, accommodations were beyond my expectations and the location was beautiful and amazing. It's convenient to the town of Sutter Creek and a 15 min. drive to the small historic town of Volcano. It had all the amenities of a resort stay, yet quiet and secluded for an enjoyable get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Charlotte was so helpful with check in and directions and Betsy was a pure joy to meet and connect with. Recommend this property 100%.!

The place is great. Steep stairs if you have issues with stairs. Very quiet and beautiful place. The bed was comfortable, the pool amazing. So glad we found it. Quick 5 minutes to Sutter

Peaceful, Beautiful, and Kid-Friendly

Stayed here for a long weekend with my 10-year-old son. Check in was very easy, property is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. We had a great time enjoying the beautiful pool with its incomparable views. Far enough from town to feel like you're getting away, but Sutter Creek is just 5 minutes down the road, and 10 minutes from stores and anything you might need. Good vibes!

Perfect escape

There’s tons to do in and around Sutter Creek. We simply enjoyed the backyard oasis- great environment to escape and reset.

Perfect location for a wine country getaway

It's just a short drive from downtown Sutter Creek! Apartment was clean and very well equipped. The quiet, and gorgeous surroundings make for a perfect weekend away.

Exceeds Expectations!

Somehow… this perfectly-rated property manages to exceed expectations. I knew nothing about the area and decided to book based on the reviews— and was absolutely thrilled with the experience. It’s essentially an apartment with a huge pool and hot tub with every amenity, and the kindest family imaginable. The area is incredible with a throwback feel. I highly recommend and am already looking forward to returning.

Great Place

Quick getaway for us with kids out of town. Place is great. Secluded up on a hill as advertised. Pool and hot tub are amazing features to enjoy. Close to Sutter Creek for wine tasting and great food. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent Hospitality

The stay at Sunset Hills was perfect! As someone who has worked in hotel management for over 10 years, notes were being taken!The communication right from the initial booking was exceptional. We felt very welcomed and the stay was in the cutest little apartment. It was a great distance from the cute little Sutter Creek downtown, only an hour from Sacramento and only 3 hours from San Francisco, so we were able to make a couple of day trips. We will definitely be looking to stay here again at our next trip to the area!

Beautiful property, like staying at a high end resort. Love all the welcoming touches like a personalized sign on the door, candles, snacks and fresh flowers in all the rooms. Owners are kind and helpful with great advice about local restaurants.

Quiet weekend away

I enjoyed a quiet weekend in this beautiful apartment. The pool was refreshing and relaxing. The town and surrounding areas have much to explore. I kept it simple with a scenic drive and pool time. :) I had a chance to sit and speak with Betsy for a little while and enjoyed hearing her stories. I definitely hope to return someday.

While I have a formal name, you will know me as Betsy. My husband and I first came to the Motherlode 3 decades ago when we were entranced by this very house. Our home is often full of family and friends, all of whom feel like it is at least their second home – if not the real feeling that they are home. We are blessed to be here and look forward to sharing those blessings with you.

Amador County, California’s smallest, is such a special place. And our home offers the best of what this area brings. We are situated one mile out of charming Sutter Creek on the windy road to Volcano. We are surrounded by rolling hills and soul filling views, while near to lots of activities to keep you busy. If you simply want to relax, perfect. If you want to explore: a much-loved wine country a few miles away, gold mines, history, beauty everywhere, the Sierra providing g all kinds of activities within less than an hour. If you want to venture out, we locals consider day trips Tahoe and the surrounding mountains, San Francisco, the fascinating Gold Country, Sacramento. Local culture and restaurants keep people coming back to Amador again and again.

This apartment we are offering is our favorite place on our property. With a private entrance and immediate access to our pool and spa, it sits up one floor, a private deck connecting to additional level parking. We offer a fully equipped kitchen/ sitting/eating room and a generous king bed and full bath with a tub/shower. Our mission is to provide all the comforts of home, with none of the responsibility!

Separate entrance, easy check in and out, cleaned thoroughly between guests, cleaning supplies available under the sink in case you need them. Come stay and enjoy the surrounding area, our pool, hot tub (only on request Extra $25.00 charge for heating Hot Tub per day). We look forward to your visit. We would ask if you could provide an emergency contact in case of an emergency. Also we ask if you could provide us with your guests names so we know who is coming with you. Thank you....
