Phenomenal backyard Oasis!

Property is as listed, the backyard made it really hard to leave the place Super nice area, we fell in love with the little town of Cave Creek. Bed is very comfortable, room was clean and Lorne was always available if we needed anything, which we didn’t, but he is a nice guy. He does live on property, but we knew that from previous reviews. Didn’t bother us at all. Would absolutely stay here again!

Relaxing Oasis Experience

We had very relaxing days around the pool oasis. The king bed was very comfy. The host was welcoming. We enjoyed nearby Brown’s Ranch biking and hiking. The town of Carefree offers great dining, a nice community feel and desert gardens. Overall a great experience.

Description Not Entirely Accurate

It's not clear in the description that the owner lives at the property, but he does. I had limited contact with him after we arrived and realized this. He seemed like a nice enough gentleman but my wife and 16 yr old daughter were not comfortable with that situation. Thankfully, we have friends in the area and were able to spend most of our time at their residences. Wasn't the plan. The "private entrance" described is only private in the fact that you don't have to go thru his house to get to your room(s). But you do have to walk in front of his all window living room. The house is very nice and the beds were comfortable. The back yard could be very nice but the upkeep was less than expected. Pool, spa, grill were all dirty. There were no instructions to use any of these amenities, I assume I needed to text the owner to ask to use, or ask how to use. I've not come across this situation in previous rentals. For the price it's a fair deal. It would be nice if the owner was more transparent in the description.

I enjoyed my stay. Location was great. A very nice pool and lovely backyard. There was a refrigerator and microwave which was sufficient for my stay. Would definitely stay again.

Great setting

We loved Lorne's place! It is a quiet setting that sure beat a hotel. My brother and I visited from out of state to take care of our father's belongings, because he can no longer do so for himself. We had our own bedrooms and all the conveniences we needed. Lorne was very responsive at our requests/questions. It was just a few minutes to Carefree/Cave Creek where we spent most of our time. We look forward at the opportunity to return!

Great location away from the City

We had a great time at this property. It was quiet and away from the busy Phoenix area. Cave Creek is awesome and we will definitely go back again. The evenings are quiet and the sunset view over the desert was beautiful. The night sky was bright and bold. Lorne was a nice and welcoming host.

Great stay

The communication was great and the stay was awesome. The yard area is absolutely beautiful. Was able to sit outside and drink our morning coffee with a beautiful view. The stars in the evening are spectacular. The place was well appointed and we enjoyed our stay immensely. We would stay here again.

Amazing stay!

Lorne is fantastic! He is so nice and accommodating! He gave us great tips on places to eat and sights to see. We really fell in love with the Cave Creek area in general. We loved Harley too!The property is clean, beautifully decorated, quiet and the ultimate place to relax and unwind! The pool area is beautiful and there is a large fire pit to enjoy coffee or drinks. My husband and I both agreed this is the most relaxing trip we have been on!! Thank you for everything Lorne and sharing your beautiful oasis with us♥️ We will definitely see you again when visiting Arizona!!

Desert get away.

We were looking for a quiet comfortable place to spend a week and get away from Colorado's cold spring weather. This property met all our expectations. Lorene was a great host and checked with us often to make sure everything was going well. It is a beautiful property and the pool and surrounding courtyard is a great place to relax. I would recommend this to family and friends.

Great location!

We just checked out of our 4 night stay. It was a perfect location and two miles from our friends house. The bed was so comfortable zzzzzz. I definitely recommend.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

First and foremost I would like to assist anyone from having a disappointing experience and a hostile property owner to deal with. The pictures listed on here are correct, the pool looks okay, however it is more of what he LEFT OUT that caused my friend and I to turn around and leave immediately. My only regret is not taking pictures, however I wanted out of there as fast as possible. First, when we drove up, there was a car in the driveway just sitting there with the hood up as if it was broken down. Then after we parked our car and got out, I immediately saw a big piece of rebar sticking out of the ground (thinking to myself huh?? that seems not very safe). Then when we entered the property, the parts he left out of the pictures is the disarray of the property....an unfinished hot tub that looks like it has not been touched for years with a rake lying in it, the bbq area was filthy, toys strewn all over and the "other half" of the yard that you don't see in the pictures is just a mess of dirt and crap lying all over. It looks like a construction zone and nothing that I would pay for. The "sitting area" which in the pics looks like part of the property you are renting, is actually backed up to the owners living area and for the few moments we walked inside the bedroom was nothing to brag about either. However probably the worst part of all of this is when we left, I contacted VRBO who proceeded to put Lorne on the phone with me where he spent the next 15minutes screaming at me and refusing to return a penny of my money. VRBO wanted me to return and take pictures, however given his volatile behavior why would I do that, I wouldn't even feel safe. So very sad that our vacation that we worked so hard for started off with horrible experience. I know he has other good reviews however I am trying to figure out how. Unless you are a teenage kid looking for a place to drink and hang out in a dirty backyard, RUN for your life!!

A great getaway

We had a wonderful stay! Landscaping and pool are wonderful and the fire pit was so nice to enjoy at night. Giant saguaro right outside the sliding door. And Lorn was so nice and a great host! Would definitely stay again.

Lovely visit!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The back yard is a beautiful oasis. Room was clean and well appointed! Too bad the weather was cold and rainy, even had snow. Lorne was great!

Great Neighborhood!

This was a perfect property for my stay. My friend lives just 2.5 miles and I was able to walk to and from. I have a cousin south of Phoenix, so the convenience of the expressway made it easy traveling. Cave Creek was so close. I would def stay again. Lorne was a great host and very helpful. We had everything we needed.

Mis-leading

The ad is very mid-leading. It states two bedrooms but the advertised price is only for one although when I said I thought I had two bedrooms, Lorne gave us the second room free. Its an additional fee for the second bedroom. I had my adult son with me. There is no kitchen although the amenities says there is. I didn’t feel like there was enough privacy so when I was there, I kept the shades closed although Lorne was very good about trying to give you your privacy. The air conditioning is controlled by Lorne so I had to keep bugging him. However, it was very clean and the pool was beautiful. Beds were comfortable. Lorne was very nice and accommodated in every way he can. I think for the price, I could have gotten a hotel room for less. I left a day early.

Loved the property

My friends and I had a great time at Lorne’s property! Very quite and reserved area to spent time at! The rooms were very clean and fancy. Very easy to communicate with Lorne for any questions or assistance we needed! We also felt very comfortable and safe. The pool was amazing and it really big and deeper than it looks. Beds were really comfortable, restroom very clean and big. I would definitely reserve next time, really recommend it!

Gorgeous little oasis

Our stay was just beautiful. For reference my group consisted of 3 21 yo girls and a 22 yo guy. The place was super clean and super cozy, waters included, towels included and many lil extras. Tv does include some streaming services so that's a big plus. The pool and Arizona's weather makes a perfect combo, big deep pool. Perfect to relax and get away for the weekend. Host is super amazing, very kind, respectful and accommodating. In person the backyard is huge and beautiful, very well maintained. Can't wait to go back!!
