Several friends including myself traveled from all over Coastal Virginia, Richmond, Washington, DC and beyond to meet at the 'Hoo House for a weekend get-together at Snowshoe, Virginia. The owners of this stunning home were more than accommodating from our very first conversation for my group of guests, which was a few more than the home sleeps. John and Amy were more than welcoming to these extra few individuals, as sometimes people end up bring another person or two...after all, who wouldn't want to join on a trip like that? AnyHOO, in addition to being alright with more people than their home sleeps, the owners also provided exquisite details about the ins and outs of the home that was very helpful to have at the palm of our hands all weekend when we needed to remember how to get to the house with step-by-step directions with easy to find buildings and landmarks of the mountain, work the fireplace, or how to turn the jacuzzi tub on/off, or best of all, how to increase the temperature of the HEADED FLOORS in the bathrooms :)! There were several construction/remodeling/upgrading projects going on throughout the home (one of the bathrooms was unusable, as well as the kitchenette downstairs, balcony doors blow open if not latched, dryer squeaks pretty loud when running [and when snowboarding, its running frequently]) when my guests and I stayed in February 2016, which reduced us from being able to use some of the amenities the home will have here soon enough. John and Amy were up-front about the changes going on around their home, and made the price reflect, I believe. To keep it short, the owners are responsive, helpful, accommodating, prompt with the damage deposit refund, all around owners I would highly recommend renting from, at this location and any others they may have.
From myself, and all of my guests:
THANKS!
