Kitchen was fully Equiped , rooms were clean but the Garage area is not clean and there is no proper fence to the property.It is mentioned as 4 bed but in actual you have 2 bedrooms in Building 1 a bunker bed and other bedroom is in different building which is right behind the main and has a entrance from Main building and Patio as well. overall 4 rating accommodation

Would rent again. Close enough to the beach, maybe 7 min walk but then have to walk another 150 yards in the sand to the public area of the beach. Both houses were nice, front porch was nice for morning coffee or evening drinks. Pool was nice as well! Cold AC and fridge. Easy check in and out. Nice area very close to shops and grocery. We walked to shops/ice cream several times.

Cute house near the beach

We had a fantastic time! The house was just as described and in a perfect location. We paid extra to heat the pool, and although it wasn’t as warm as I hoped, it was nice enough to get to enjoy the pool in January. The proximity to the beach was the best perk. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Stay

This was a great place to stay for a couple of family’s wanting to experience the beach together. The pool is large for a private pool which is a plus. The house does need to be updated though, a couple of appliances didn’t work properly and there needs to be some type of pantry storage.

Plenty of room for our family

Liked that we could walk to the beach and restaurants. Everyone enjoyed the pool! Cleanliness could be better, floors needed a thorough mopping. There was some mold in the bathroom of the house by the pool.

Good value for beautiful Destin

Wildwood Cottage was nicely located within walking distance to multiple public beaches, restaurants, and shopping. The pool and pool area are wonderful. The front porch is lovely. Both master suites were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen could use a new fridge but the dining area worked for our group of 7 for dinners and cards at night. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Family vacation

We love coming to Destin and always have great service with RealJoy and Homeaway. The property was a little unkempt and the pictures are somewhat deceiving but in all we had a fabulous time. It was very nice having the 2nd living quarters and we will continue to use RealJoy and Homeaway in the future.

Nice place to stay in.

We love the house, the location, and the second house which is very convenient and accommodating to large group of people the private pool is big plus to this vacation home. The furniture is old, outdated, hated the noisy exhaust fan in the master bath, When it rains there was a bad smell coming out from between the two houses.

Kareem, we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with some feedback regarding your vacation rental experience while staying in Wildwood Cottage, which provides three bedrooms and two baths in the main house and an in-law suite with an additional bedroom and one and one half baths directly behind the main home. We are happy to know that you loved this property and its location. We will forward your message to property managers so that they may review and assess your comments regarding the furniture, smell, and exhaust fan. Property was nice but with a few minor issues. Namely beds were not comfortable and iron was broken.

Wildwood Cottage October 2023

Great house and private heated pool. Short distance to beach and shopping. Was a bit disappointed in extra; like blankets, washcloths, paring knife, and too small skillet.

Loved the pool!

We were there for a week. Pros: great pool, convenient location, beautiful beaches close by. Cons: older house that needs some TLC, most pool chairs broken, gas grill did not work, kitchen not very well equipped for cooking. We had a wonderful time in Destin but I would not rent this house again.

We apologize for the inconveniences you experienced here. We wish you would have contacted us on the gas grill and broken pool chairs and what ever you needed for in the kitchen so we could have corrected these things during your stay.
