Safe and Comfortable

We were initially not sure about staying in a house that someone was living in (had never done that before), but the proximity to the beach and the price was unbeatable. The reviews were also fantastic and now I see why. I really only saw Mary when we checked in and when we left. We would definitely consider staying there again.

Get-a-way to the Dunes

We enjoyed our stay! The hosts were very friendly. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The location provided easy access for things to do. We booked this location due to the proximity to the Indiana Dunes State Park, and were able to find plenty of other adventures to keep us entertained during our stay.

Very Nice House

We just needed a place to rest our heads for a couple of nights and this fit the bill. The owners were very nice and accommodating. I actually had a flat tire and the owners were very helpful which was much appreciated. Nice people and a very nice house.

Bedroom w Attached Bathroom in Suburbs

This the first time I paid to be asked to remove my shoes before walking in the house and then staying in someone’s spare bedroom. It was very clean. We were met at the door promptly upon arrival. I wasn’t expecting an entire house but didnt feel like I was staying in a well thought out lodging.

The neighborhood was nice and super close to multiple beaches in the National and State Parks. The room was very clean. It was a little hot in the room at times but I enjoy my room cold at night.

I grew up in Portage and was born in Gary, Indiana. I am a Former ballroom dance and yoga instructor turned Vrbo and Airbnb SuperHost and I do Online Reselling. My husband is an instrument technician/electrician. We love movies, traveling, our 3 silly cats, football, baseball, hockey, and dinner out with a few good friends. After a long day of work we enjoy just plopping on the couch with our cats and catching up on some shows. My husband , Mike, is happy with chips and a dark beer. Me? I’m a Moscato girl but I have to have my popcorn too. We are always doing something, never a dull moment, but it’s nice to be that way because then you stay young, at least at heart.

We bought this lot to build this house because of the great view of the woods and no one can build behind us. It is a quiet neighborhood as well. We can walk to the Imagination Glen Park which has a very nice trail for walking or biking or we can walk around our neighborhood and the neighborhood next to us since they are connected. We feel safe here and the neighbors are very friendly.

For guests, it’s like you have a hotel room that is very private. The queen ensuite guest room is on the top level across a bridge so it is a very private room. We have another bedroom you can rent as well on a separate listing. It’s our dream home because of the great features that we have an attached bathroom in every bedroom. Our house has a total of 5 bathrooms which makes it very convenient & more comfortable for guests. You will never have to share a bathroom with other guests. We are close to the toll road I-80 and highway I-94, so it’s easy to find us and to get where you want to go quickly. We are also only about 4 miles from the South Shore Train Station, and 15 min to the Indiana Dunes State and National Parks. There is a Zip Foods Convenience Store, Dollar Store & a gas station only 2 min away from us.
