Memorial Day getaway

Very nice house with everything you need for a getaway to the lake. Great location with a nice dock. Boat rental at Mariners Landing directly across the cove made it super easy. Easy check in and check out process. Will definitely return!

Excellent Stay

My group and I loved the property! The inside was decorated so cute, and everything we needed was available in the kitchen. You have to bring your own towels/linens, but the bathrooms were clean & there were plenty of chairs to enjoy by the dock. The only thing is that the night we checked in, we lost power & I would have liked a direct contact who could have assisted us with the issue. The house had candles stocked & labeled as "For Power Outages", so clearly this is common, but maybe a heads up would have been a relief, instead of spending time trying to figure everything out on our own in the dark. Other than that - everything was perfect for our group & I would definitely recommend this property/will be back again!

Comfortable slice of heaven

We spent a week at this great little spot! 3 adults, plenty of room for a couple more. The rooms were simple and beds comfortable, the bathroom renovations look amazing and the kitchen has plenty of space. We enjoyed lounging with the lake view, on the recliners or the porch. The dock was nice, though hot without shoes, it was a neat location to see all the boat activity on the weekend. You could paddle over to the restaurant spot for sure , 2 minutes by Stand Up paddle board to cross. The Paddle board provided is awesome, stable and light weight enough to take down to the dock. There was a SUP paddle and kayak paddle option, I saw mention of a missing piece, we did not have that problem. The basement is spacious for playtime with air hockey and lounging area. We enjoyed the loungers on the dock and the umbrella for some shade. There was a 2 person inter tube lounger not yet opened, which is an great addition. Bring a compressor to inflate rafts, that always helps. Conveniently located near Moneta for groceries and such. We did not find anything to deter us from staying at this house again.

Great Lake Vacation Spot

We had a lovely time at Autumn Holiday on Smith Mountain Lake. The property was super clean when we arrived and the description of the home pretty much matched the listing on VRBO. Comfortable beds in all three rooms and nice furnishings throughout. And bunnies and a small herd of deer were in the yard each morning. We had other family staying in the area (at the state park) and our rental became the hangout spot for everyone because of it's location. Our three year old grandson caught his first fish off the pier - an exciting event for all! Overall - a lovely spot to relax for everyone, the three year old to the the 83 year old! Only caveat is we had to haul our own trash upon leaving and the nearest drop off spot is a bit out of the way. It's also the first vacation rental we've used where there were no extra kitchen trash bags or paper towels available. In most rentals, we've usually found basic spices and condiments left from previous guests and this house had none ... not a requirement or a complaint but just a surprise. Finally, utilizing the linen service from the property manager is very convienent but the towels are pretty scratchy. Otherwise, we had a great four night stay and would come again! Thanks to the owners for making this spot available. We recommend it!

This house was perfect for our family of 4, plus two grandparents and a dog. We loved the dock, we could jump, fish, swim and even dock our boat over night. The kitchen was fully stocked and the basement was nice and cool for those rainy afternoons for the kids to play.

Cozy Lake Retreat

This property was perfect for my friends and I to have a quiet weekend getaway and has everything you need for a short or long stay. We enjoyed our time here and left relaxed and recharged. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cozy lake retreat.

great spot

we really liked this rental. The lake here is wide enough to use speed boat and wave runners right in front. The youngers of us thought that was great. The elders would have preferred more tranquility. We used the paddle board a lot. Unfortunately, the top half of the paddle was missing, so we could only kneel on the board. But still fun. We would return again!

Great little getaway

The property was great. They had pretty much everything you needed. The screened in porch was wonderful to have our meals in. They did have an ant problem, but were working on getting rid of them. Would not deter us from going back. It was the perfect size for our family

Cozy and quaint with nice views

We had a nice time renting this house. Great location being close to the Whitehouse store and the Dam Restaurant. About 25 min away from FoodLion. The house is small and old but has been remodeled nicely. There are two stories but no interior stairs. To get to the basement where the game room and laundry is, you have to walk around the house. Curb appeal is lacking but don't judge a book by its cover. The inside has been nicely remodeled, especially the bathrooms. It was clean except the windows and blinds look like they haven't been touched in years. It was a perfect size for me, my husband and goldendoodle. Since it was winter time, we did not use the screened in porch but it was a nice size. Also, has a great view of the lake looking directly at Mariners Landing!
