Great place for a short stay!

Augustine is super sweet and responsive. The guest house is very spacious. It could have been a little cleaner but it wasn't too bad. The bed was not very comfortable but it was ok for a couple of nights. We enjoyed the sauna!

Austin’s neighborhood

The house is as described. There is a little kitchen but no really table to eat. The mattress in the larger room needs to be changed. Overall we had some very peaceful days in Austin.

Not worth your money

This rental is a "mother in-law" suite in the back yard of a home. The location was perfect for me. I had to arrive at a certain to to do a face to face with with owner so he could show me where the key was. I was at a nearby event so I drove over to meet the owner at 4PM, he advised I should park in the center of the driveway and they would leave this spot open for me. He showed me the key and I left and went back to the event I was at. That evening I arrived back at the house about 11PM to find 5 other vehicles parked in the driveway. I was barley able to squeeze between them. Once parked I was barley able to open the door to my vehicle and get out let alone get my luggage out. Once inside I found I had been left one towel in the bathroom that smelled like it hadn't been washed in sometime. The trash can in the bathroom had trash and hair from the last people to stay. The foundation/slab leans badly to one side so when you take a shower the water doesn't drain, you just stand in water. Then to top it all off the mattress was so old that the springs were wore completely out. When you laid down they collapsed under you and you end up laying on the box spring.. It was absolutely awful! Please don't waster your money on this place!

Central air was not working

As soon as we entered the house you could feel the heat. The ac wasn't on. The temp was 84. I turned it on and about 45 min later it was 85. I msg owner. He showed up but only to let us know to pull our car up on driveway. I told him about the air and was told its not working! There was a window until in the living room which was filthy with dust and dirt. The main bdrm had a window unit. The 2nd room is really small-thats also where the sauna is-only had a portable fan in it. The fridge wasnt the cleanest and the toaster had so many old crumbs in it..we ended up cutting our loss and didn't stay there. We rented a hotel.

Good stay

Safe, quiet neighborhood, a little far from downtown but convenient enough. Nice kitchen area, did not use the sauna but a cool option to have. Plenty of space for the three of us. Good Wi-Fi, nice double headed shower. Master bedroom mattress could use an upgrade.

Overall this is a good property and at good location for Austin and its vicinity.
