I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our third time staying in this house. We love the location and the size of the house fits our needs. We did feel that the house was starting to feel a bit “worn” and there were repairs that should have been done. We are hoping to go back, but if improvements are not done it would be hard to justify the price.

Each room was cozy and comfortable that everyone who was there loved their rooms. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Nice overall

Good size house with plenty of room to spread out. Nice quiet neighborhood with very short walk to the beach. Lots of internet connection issues. Poor cell phone service in the area. No ps4 or Xbox as listed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have a large family and enjoy finding a location that or four kids with spouses and eight grandkids can all stay in together. One of the things that drew us to this house was the abundance of gathering spaces and bedrooms. We used every inch of this house and loved it. Walking distance to a great beach area that was clean and well maintained by the city. We had one small problem with the outside shower, but the maintenance guys showed up quickly and did a great job fixing the problem. They were very nice and professional. We are already talking about renting it again next year. Would highly recommend this house for a large family. The roof-top deck was a big hit! A side benefit is that you will get your exercise on the stairs!

The beach was very close and it was an easy walk to it even with multiple grandchildren. The house was beautiful and clean. The rooftop was amazing and a thrill for the grandkids. However the internet was slow or not working when multiple people tried to use it at one time. I really hope this can be taken care of for future trips. Other than that we all had a good time and we have already booked the house again for next year .

Internet in the house was not working

Internet in the house was not working. The property manager sent someone who had no expertise to fix it. It seems that limited number of people could get on the WiFi. Pans and pots were very old and dirty. House was nice and clean overall and well located. However due to internet issues and poor kitchen equipment, out stay was not optimal.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed spending time at the home as well as the beach with our large three generation family. I wish the kitchen was more fully stocked. I could not find any cooking oil or salt. Also hardly any foil or paper towel or food storage bags. We ran out of toilet paper in the main bathroom on the last day. The kitchen fire alarm kept on beeping in the night because the battery was low but upon calling the Beachwalk rental they send someone to the home within half an hour to fix the problem.The rooftop was very nice and had a nice view over looking the lake. It also had a bbq grill on the roof top too where we lounged on the nice furniture and also barbecued on it. Also I wish the fence/ railing around the roof top was more sturdy. It moved back and forth when I applied pressure to it with my hand to see how sturdy it was. With the grandkids also on the roof top I was a little concerned about this. But overall it was a nice experience and the Beachwalk staff was generous to give us early check in and late checkout.

Sundancer for a big family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We (15 of us ages 3-75) LOVED the location as it was within walking distance of the beach and close to the zoo. The house had plenty of sleeping space and plenty of hot water for showering. There are a lot of stairs if you need exercise, a bit challenging for a sedentary person. The overall appearance was clean and livable, however lacking a meticulous clean standard. The first evening we discovered dishes had been put away wet as some were slimy to touch and only one of the TV remotes had batteries. Over time we also noticed dust bunnies under beds and behind furniture. The house needs maintenance attention as there are water stains on ceilings, a deck door didn't lock and one toilet was loose and shifted. The roof deck table is not as pictured, the top is treated lumber that has warped making it uneven while some of the deck chairs are very wobbly and stuck into a corner for a reason. Additionally, watch out for the back stair landing, the edge is not clearly visible for individuals with sight issues. Overall, I’d give it an average plus rating and we would use it again for the entire family.

The house was tidy and well appointed, and the location was perfect for our group—steps from a clean and welcoming beach. We had 16 people, ages 22 months to 80 years. Everyone had a comfy place to sleep. The house is large enough, with several different kinds of indoor and outdoor spaces. We could be together when we wanted, and people could wander away with a book and be out of sight when they needed. We loved having two kitchens. That was helpful for our various dietary needs. The enormous dining table was a real plus. I would definitely recommend the house for large groups. The 10 pm quiet curfew on the outdoor spaces might have been difficult for a rowdy bunch, but it was fine for us.

It was very spacious with great amenities, including 2 kitchens, grills, washer and dryer, and the view from the rooftop deck was spectacular. This was our first visit to Michigan City, Indiana and location couldn't have been better. We were within walking distance to the beach, Washington Park, and the zoo. Very cute local restaurants and local grocery store within a short drive. Locals were very friendly and welcoming. I only wish we could've stayed a little longer!
