Easy family time

We loved being on the water and among so much natural beauty! Really wonderful home with incredible views, lovely bathrooms, and a gracious host. We even saw orcas while we were there from the deck. Will plan to return!

Great location to take in the beautiful Pacific Northwest summers. You will enjoy watching the marine activity and wildlife from the huge deck. The house has been thoughtfully decorated, and restored to its original mid-century design. It is clean, comfortable and fully stocked with everything you will need. Check in was easy and communication was great throughout. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!

Beautiful Retreat - inside and out

I spent an amazing weekend relaxing and refreshing here. I booked it as a solo weekend to celebrate my birthday. I spent hours scouring all the sites looking for just the right combination of things: beautiful view, privacy, cozy interiors, somewhere to warm up (soaking tub), and somewhere to sit outside undercover. I couldn’t tell this house had the latter, but a small portion of the deck is covered and has comfy seats to watch and listen to ferries and wildlife. I also enjoyed the binoculars to keep an eye on wildlife and the projector screen/tv to keep up with my stories. The quality of the materials and furnishings in the house was the best of any vacation rental I’ve stayed at. The heated floors in the bathrooms were a pleasant surprise as well. I most enjoyed watching the ferries pass by - I’m a ferry lover and the up close view of them blew me away.

We have stayed multiple times at this magical tranquil home! The location is perfection and the view is spectacular. We love sipping coffee and watching the ferry’s go by. Can’t wait to go back!

THREE-PEAT

My husbamd and I just came home from our third stay at this incredible property. It was love at first sight the first time we entered the house and looked straight through the glass wall out to the water. The ferries passing by aare better than any Netflix show. The house is immaculate and well-appointed. This year we were excited to enjoy the remodeled bathroom, the addition of a second bathroom, new kitchen appliances and living room furniture. There is lots to do in the area, but it is hard not to stay put and enjoy every inch of the house, both inside and out. We love to travel and explore new places,but we are continually drawn back to the Bald Seagle. From the second we leave to head home, we are counting the minutes until we are able to return.

Amazing Home

This home has so much architectural character that when combined with its jaw dropping location and next level deck, it becomes a truly unique and impressive destination. The deck feels private, the ferry views are outrageous. Sunsets were otherwordly and the beds were very comfortable. Its obvious much thought has gone into the interior design of the Bald Seagle, and it paid off. Would definitely visit again.

Incradable vacation in a beautiful house

The bald seagull house is located in a beautiful place sourounded by wood overlooking the water. It is fully equipped beautiful designed, very comfortable. The host is super by all means. Cosiderate, kind,reacts fast to requests and questions. We travel a lot and this is one of our favorites. We will definitly return.

Great labor day weekend

The property is located in a wonderful spot that provides easy access to Seattle and the ability to explore the surrounding area. I love the deck most of all! It has amazing views. The reason for the 4 stars is no wifi and it was not mentioned in the listing. I should have checked but would have thought most places have it these days.

Peace, Quiet and Beauty Abound

We had a wonderful time. The home was on the water with beautiful views, peace and quiet. We spent almost all of our down time sitting on the deck overlooking Puget Sound. We saw many seals and birds, some gorgeous sunsets and enjoyed watching boats go by. We even watched a Naval Ship come through, which was quite exciting. The kitchen was very well equipped with good quality dishes, utensils and appliances. We enjoyed a 2-hour drive to Lake Crescent and hiked to a couple lovely waterfalls. We also took a whale watching tour on the Puget Sound Express out of Port Townsend, which was great fun. We saw lots of Orca whales, Seal Lions, Puffins and other birds. We would definitely stay here again. It could have not been better!

Great Deck

The house was in a nice location with a nice large deck and cute cabin style and amazing views. However, the bathroom had ants and the bathroom floor was clearly old and had water damage, little to no pressure in the shower. Space was nicely laid out and the decor was also nice and comfortable. Wish we could rate higher. The kitchen sink faucet sprayer was broken. AC was good, beds were good, patio furniture was nice, everything else was fine. Lots of good family conversations on the deck.

The view can’t be beat!

What an amazing little find right on the water watching seals and birds, along with the passing ferry’s. The sunrises and sunsets from the amazing deck and through the full size windows couldn’t be viewed any better than on this property.

Fabulous Stay

We enjoyed a wonderful few days at Bald Seagle! The views are unbelievable! We spotted several Bald Eagles, osprey, harbor seals and on the last day, WHALES!! So fun watching both the fast ferry and the the regular ferry cross between us and Bainsbridge Island! The only time we left the house was to run to Albertsons to pick up groceries. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and we grilled out fish we had picked up at Pikes Place Market. Every spice you would think of (except for garlic) was stocked in the cabinets, along with oils, syrup, sugar, vinegars, etc). We ate every meal out on the balcony! The living room and kitchen are spacious and the plate glass windows that overlook the Puget Sound are amazing! There is a huge utility room with washer, dryer and sink. The 2 bedrooms are cozy, each with a queen size bed, and fairly dark (no overhead lighting) - but made sleeping great! The bathroom is pretty dated but served it's purpose. Would highly recommend this vacation home if you are into sitting and watching wildlife!

Lovely views

Can’t beat the views at this place! Perfect to rest and unplug. We saw a family of otters swimming around. Took the ferry a couple times to Seattle. House has a great deck and had everything we needed, but it’s a bit dated.
