We really enjoyed our stay here! The owner was so sweet and very accommodating when we needed something! The views are beautiful and lots of bedrooms for big parties.

There were plenty of beds for everyone. It was a beautiful view over the river and we got to fish. We had trouble with the Internet, but it was resolved immediately by the Property Manager. There were 14 of us and everyone had a great time.

Absolutely enjoyed the stay. The view is beautiful. It does sleep many people however three of the beds are in open spaces together with the loft and that was not clearly portrayed in the description. All worked out though.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. We had a group of 16, and there was plenty of room for all of us. Paula, our host, was very welcoming, friendly, and happily answered all my questions. The beds were very comfortable, and the cabin was very clean. We enjoyed having a full size kitchen and plenty of space for everyone to sit. We all enjoyed sitting on the porch for coffee in the morning and enjoying the beautiful view. The kids loved playing in the backyard. The view was even more beautiful than I expected. It was the perfect weekend getaway for all of us.

Our group of nine enjoyed our weekend sitting on the enclosed deck looking out over the river. We had a wonderful surprise of watching at least 125-150 kayakers go by. Mm

Excellent location. Beautiful scenery. Plenty of room inside. Paula was so helpful and nice. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. Updated appliances. We really enjoyed our stay. There were 10 of us. Ages 80 to 1. A fabulous weekend spent with family.

This property works really well for large groups, with plenty of bedrooms tucked away for privacy. The river view is stunning, and the landscaping around the house is beautiful. The host was quick to respond, and check-in and check-out were easy.I rated it 4 out of 5 stars because it could use a bit more care in cleanliness and upkeep. The cabin has an older, slightly musty feel. A few showers were missing basic toiletries, there was no dish soap, the upstairs porch screen was torn, and there were some cobwebs in corners. Lighting in the main areas was dim, which made the space feel less fresh. Watch out for the microwave door! It’s hinged on the left side, which means your fingers will get jammed between the door and corner cabinet. If the door hinge is swapped to the otherwise, guest will avoid this issue. With a little extra attention in these areas, it could easily be a 5-star stay.That said, we really enjoyed the hot tub, back deck, grill, fire pit, and solid air conditioning. The neighbor was friendly, and her dogs were a joy to see.Overall, it’s a great choice for families or groups, with a fantastic view and a responsive host. With a few small improvements, it could be a truly outstanding getaway.

Great cabin weekend!

We had a great visit, and the space was perfect for a group of 12. We enjoyed nearby hikes, fun on the river, and nightly firepits. There was plenty of space and the comfy beds were a huge plus. Paula was a great host and offered helpful recommendations. Would definitely stay again!

Friends Getaway

Our group of 12 friends enjoyed a great weekend at the cabin. We took advantage of hikes nearby, the river, and firepits both nights. We had plenty of space and enjoyed the comfy beds and fun decor. The only critiques are that some of the amenities were not as stocked as we expected (low supply of bodywash in the downstairs shower, low supply of dish soap) and the kitchen was a little wonky in its layout, but nothing that negatively impacted our stay. Paula was delightful and easy to work with. Her adorable and friendly dogs were a huge bonus! Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful view

Great stay for a family/friends group. Gorgeous view. Nice enclosed porch with hot tub. Older home but had modern updated appliances. Coffee pods were provided which was nice. The guys enjoyed doing some fishing as well. We were in town for the half Iron Man and enjoyed downtown Chattanooga area!

Beautiful location- wish we could have stayed longer

We came into town for our son’s wedding which took place at a farm in Whitwell. We loved this house on the river- it was so peaceful and serene. Each morning I went out on the deck and turned on my bird app- within minutes, it would have detected 10 species of birds! The house was spacious but cozy- plenty of space for our family. We were only in town for 3 days, but I would love to come back again to spend some time relaxing in this haven on the river!

90th Birthday Celebration

We had 11 people in our group including our 90 year father. The two bedrooms and a bath downstairs was convenient for those unable to climb the somewhat narrow steps. We prepared all of our meals in the fully stocked kitchen. Most of our time was spent out on the decks enjoying the beautiful view of the river and the landscape. Paula was the perfect hostess.

Great Thanksgiving Get Away

The family had a great time while we celebrated Thanksgiving together. The views from the property are spectacular. We knew the area and were able to find the property with little issues. However, if you are new to the area, you might find the property a little difficult to find. Don't worry it is worth the short though winding drive. The kitchen has very nice appliances but be careful with your fingers and the microwave. It got all of us at some point. The location of the downstairs bathroom is a little strange, but it worked. The biggest issue with the property is the way the bedrooms are situated. There is a large bedroom with basically two loft rooms attached. We had a little issue with this, but it worked out. If you have a lot of children, the large bedroom is ideal. We would consider staying thee again.

Nice views but some issues with house/host

The views were amazing off the back porch, especially in the Fall. The house had plenty of bedrooms to accommodate a large group, but it was quite dirty (dead and live bugs in many rooms, thick layers of dust), some rooms don't have working fans, and there is no cell phone service at all. It certainly felt more like camping than staying in a lake house, as we were encouraged to throw away used toilet paper (as opposed to flushing) and there were timers on the showers. Additionally, there were several issues with the host. I called/emailed several times to ask a question prior to the visit but received no response. When we got there, we realized the hot tub was broken, which the host was apparently aware of but hadn't told us. When we asked the host how we could fix it, she told us to Google it. This did not resolve the issue and we could not use that amenity. To her credit, she was nice to our dogs. Overall, we had a good time, but I would bet there are nicer places to stay in the area.

lovely spot - just as described

the house easily accomodated our diverse crew from the toddlers all the way up to the grandparents. Check in was smooth and the house was just as described - fun to sit out on the porch and watch the barges roll by.

Rowing Club Getaway

Property was in the perfect setting, right on the river! Had everything for our group to come and go for the weekend while attending a regatta. Floors and carpets were a bit dirty like it was not vacuumed in sometime. Everything else was wonderful!

Classic Family Friendly Cabin Home

We had an incredible stay at this charming house that felt straight out of a '90s movie! It was the perfect fit for our three families, with plenty of space for the kids to enjoy the outdoors. From sun up to sun down, they fished and played outside, making the most of the beautiful setting. The living room was ideal for cozy family nights, and the large modern kitchen was a dream for preparing meals together. The owner was precious and made everything super clear and easy. We highly recommend this spot and will definitely rebook if we’re ever back in Chattanooga!
