Onekama get away

The interior was lovely. Hidden in the woods. Saw lots of deer. It was nice having the laundry facilities to use. The extra beverage fridge in the laundry room was a plus. Could use some extra lighting in the main bedroom upstairs. Maybe overhead lighting in the ceiling fan. Overall it was a wonderful vacation and I will recommend it to my friends. But only those that already know about Onekama (want to keep Onekama a secret! )

Memorial Day getaway

Great place and perfect size for our family of 6 (could have fit more!) Ideal location near the Portage Point inn and both lake michigan and portage lake beaches. Would definitely rent again. Thanks!

A short but pleasant stay

House was very nice. An end table and lamp by bedside in lower bedroom would have been welcomed. Kitchen was furnished nicely and living rm was very comfortable. An end table & lamp in loft area would be a nice touch and would make a quiet spot for relaxing and reading. Did not use laundry but was glad to see it was available. Also the deck looked nice, but didn’t have the time to use it. Only real negative thing was previous guest left trash bags outside and animals spread trash all over back yard. Called the manager and left message but never heard back.

Family vacation

Enjoy this house immensely. Pictures were an accurate representation, house was super cute and comfy, nice location to ice cream place, playgrounds, and lake Michigan. It was pretty hot and humid while we stayed here and AC would have been lovely but with the fans and opening the windows at night to cool things off, it wasn't bad. They were kind and willing to let us check out late so our kiddo could nap before we headed home, and answered questions quickly. Would definitely come again.

The location was perfect whether you’re in town to bike or beach.

This property was clean, huge, extremely well stocked, perfectly located, and I cannot say enough about the beds! This was my 4th stay on my trip around Michigan and this home wins for comfort, convenience, and having everything we needed… or forgot. We went to Sleeping Bear and Grand Haven from here as well as local beaches. The local Rosies delivered too!!

Great House for Family Stay

This was a lovely well equipped home with an excellent floor plan to accommodate the two families that stayed here this week. It is set off the road and feels private in the woods but is still close to public beach access and town. We greatly enjoyed our stay and the hosts were gracious and accommodating.

Home away from home

This house was very well appointed with anything you would need to feel at home. The beds were made up crisply, plenty of linens in the bathrooms, comfortable furniture, etc. The kitchen was spacious enough I didn't even mind cooking while on vacation! Having stayed on Portage Point Rd for many vacations, we knew where this house was. It's not as close to the beach as what we were used to, but a quick drive or a bike ride gets you there in no time. This is a well cared for house that we'd highly recommend.

A Beautiful House in the Woods

Wooded on a paved road with some light traffic. Near an inland lake and near Lake Michigan. Inside was roomy with all conveniences. Immaculately clean.

Great, easy, vacation home

Comfortable beds, plenty of space for up to 3 couples, lovely, quiet area. Kitchen was very well supplied and easy to use. Negatives: WIFI is very slow. There are quiet oscillating stand fans that made it comfortable enough to sleep - AC would be better tho.

Deer and no Beer

The stay was amazing. The property is right near the lake and surrounded by trees. We watched the deer run past every morning and saunter past in the evening. There were very few channels and no internet access. This was frustrating for the first 15 minutes, but was quickly one of the greatest aspects of the property as we all sat in front of the fireplace and talked about anything. The whole family had a blast. I’d recommend this to anyone except someone trying to work from the woods.

Perfect Summer Retreat

This house was not only spacious, but absolutely beautiful! We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed our time there. The owners are incredibly helpful and always respond to queries quickly. 3 adults and 2 children stayed here quite comfortably.

Fully-stocked, lovely home

My family of four stayed here for 2 nights for a family reunion that was held at Portage Point Inn down the road. The location was perfect - only a mile away. The house was very clean and cute with fully stocked cupboards for whatever you might need. Our only complaint was how hot and humid it was without AC or dehumidifiers. There were fans in every room which helped, but the moisture inside was very high. Otherwise it's a great property!
