The pictures don't convey how nice is this property. When we walked in we instantly felt a sense of calm. Every possible need was met, including some welcoming local bread and wine (the essentials of life for centuries).
As a frequent traveller, one of my 'pet hates' is a grimy welcome guide book, you know the slimy plastic sleeves and wrinkled inserts. This one looked like it had been put together yesterday, clean, fresh and informative - as well as describing the history of the house.
The owners, Ross and Karen, trusted us with nurturing the garden, which we were happy to do in these drought conditions (but wasn't forced upon us). Ivan took some cuttings of the roses to propagate - so Ida's roses will now live on in our home town.
Our two chihuahuas were welcome and loved running up and down the corridor and exploring a new garden.
There was no big dramas / attitude with us being a gay couple, which sometimes (still) happens.
The only suggestion would be (i) aircon in the main bedroom - but actually we didn't seem to need it and (ii) some extra towels?
We'll def.s come back!
