We hosted our wedding weekend and have nothing but positive things to say about the property, the home, the amenities, and the property managers! It was the perfect space to have our friends and family stay with us to celebrate. We played tennis, swam in the heated pool, used the sauna and of course got married on the property! Mark and the caretaker were super helpful and responsive and made the whole weekend go so smoothly. The home and grounds were clean and maintained, and the views are to die for!

Intimate mountain wedding

We got married here and I can't recommend it enough! The property is beautiful, the house is comfortable and spacious and the hosts were amazing. The outdoor space is incredible, we had so much fun in the pool and hot tub, and sitting by the outdoor fireplace at night. We hope to be back one some day for another visit!

Excellent Spring break

The house is exactly as advertised. Very clean, spacious, well appointed and the owners are incredibly responsive. We had 6 kids and 6 adults and the kids had a blast. Plenty of room for all. The multiple decks and comfortable furniture made it easy on the adults to relax and enjoy time. Kitchen is excellent- everything you need to cook. Not a single complaint- we will be back next year.

Great Property - needs some fine tuning

Our family spent the 2024 Christmas Holidays together here. There were a lot of positives about the property, such as the beautiful views, outdoor pool and hot tub, tennis courts and the ability to house a large group. The house had charm but needed a little TLC. Examples included the fire brick being broken in the outside fireplace, door handles falling off on back door of ground floor and missing trim pieces on outside railings. I have seen similar conditions in other large properties that I have rented on VRBO - the pictures on the web site don't always look like what you get when you show up.

Cole is the best!

My wife and I ended up getting married in the midst of Hurricane Helene and what could have ended as a catastrophic and devastating wedding weekend was made memorable with the support of the groundskeeper Cole! Cole went out of his way to not only have the grounds and home BEAUTIFUL while fighting the winds and debris from the hurricane, he was active, attentive, and crucial to all of our folks getting home safely by lending us personal gas cans to go down and retrieve gasoline for cars. Shea and I cannot begin to express the gratitude we have for he and his wife Sarai, especially in the midst of the crisis that was occuring in Asheville and surrounding areas. We could not encourage others more to rent this home to stay or as we did for our wedding venue. You will be supported and cared for in an unimaginable way.

Best Vacation Ever!

Incredibly beautiful location which can be enjoyed looking any direction. The infinity pool is amazing; safe for little ones with a shallow area, deeper for lap swimmers. We enjoyed both pickle ball and tennis on the perfectly kept court. The kitchen was large and full of all supplies. Our family of 10 adults and kids from 3 months to ten had plenty of space. We generally like to visit different areas of the country but we will return here.

Perfect for Our Intimate Wedding

My husband and I booked Mount Airy Farm for a long weekend and held our wedding and reception at the property. We cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was. The views and grounds were better than we could have imagined and was the perfect setting for our wedding day. The house was spacious and had more than enough room for all of our family. The house has everything you could need, especially in the kitchen. We didn't leave the property all weekend because there was plenty to do between the infinity pool and tennis/basketball court. The caretakers on the property were very helpful and sweet and were prompt to answer any questions we had. Thank you Mount Airy Farm for giving us our perfect wedding weekend!

Beautiful country estate

Loved this home in the valley, located amongst farms. Appreciate being able to bring our two dogs and having the space to walk the property. Home is very clean and a lovely place. I can see why someone would want to host small gatherings here.

Thanksgiving family trip

Mt Airy was a perfect spot to gather the family for a holiday. The kitchen was perfect for cooking a family meal for 12, well stocked, serving dishes and all. We enjoyed the hot tub, the ping pong and the big family room for game night. During the day everyone did their own activities but when we came together for happy hour we were all happy to spend the evening at home together because the house was so comfortable. We would all visit again.

Nice house with a lot of space & great views

Our whole family enjoyed the stay. Here are some of the highlights: * Tons of space inside and out (lots of bedrooms and living space) * The kitchen is a central, pretty, spacious area to hang out * Beautiful views * Tennis court is a great amenity * Outside pool area is nice * Property manager was responsive and helpful The few downsides are that there was a bee issue in one of the bathrooms, and the downstairs door to the outside didn't lock. Not too bad given the positives. Hope you enjoy your stay!

Great view and amenities

Our stay was beyond perfect for hosting our wedding, there was a few minor challenges but nothing that would be a large deterrent from staying again or enjoying our stay. The house itself is fully stocked with anything you would need from kitchen gear to minor party essentials, for example we misplaced our card box and there was one there, along with a cake holder and beverage dispensers. The only issues we had were the amount of towels available was low considering the size of the house and there were many bees that got inside the home however Cole was quick to assist in getting them reduced. Cole was very friendly and responsive during our stay. We were able to fully use the property and house, and felt like it was ours which was nice to feel during a time so special to us. Would definitely love to stay again, the views, hot tub, patios, pool, and fire place just can’t be beat.

Beautiful location and outdoor space

We really enjoyed the house and grounds. The outdoor space is wonderful, with the infinity pool and hot tub. We used both daily. The rooms are comfortable with good beds and linens. The kitchen is large and a great place to hang out. The only disappointment was that the piano was badly out of tune and not usable due to that. This property is remote, about 40 minutes to Asheville. It would make a great corporate retreat of family reunion.

Amazing Property!

We had an amazing week at Mt Airy Farm! It is the perfect place to reconnect with family members while relaxing, enjoying the pool and the gorgeous views. We also used the tennis court and fire pit and spent some time exploring Asheville. Such a special place-our whole family loved staying there!

Wedding week

We stayed here for a week and hosted a “reception” (more like pool party with catered food/cake) for family after our wedding ceremony at Pretty Place in Cleveland, SC. The property was amazing overall, the infinity pool and hot tub was where we spent the bulk of our stay. When we arrived, we found full trash cans. Based on the initial communication I received about who to contact, I reached out to Mark (manager) about when those cans would be emptied so we could continue to move trash out. I never did hear back from him, so I contacted Cole, who immediately got back to me and removed those trash bins and brought around empty ones for us to use. Overall the house was very clean, well stocked with linens and lots of general house products such as toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Only thing we found lacking is that there seemed to be some lacking general upkeep such as lights not working. We couldn’t get the direct tv to work, but honestly that was fine. We were plenty happy to be outside for the entirety of our stay. The view is immaculate and the pool/hot tub are incredible, but again only one pool light works ;) The outdoor furniture is different than showed in pictures, what’s there now by the pool does not have cushions. Overall the property is beautiful, clean, and worked wonderfully to meet the purpose that we dreamed of for our wedding for our family. We throughly enjoyed the time we spent here!

Family Vaca

We had a great time at Mount Airy. The area is beautiful. I would recommend it as a wonderful family vacation destination. There are some things that I would address. The pool was great, sad that the infinity part of the pool didn’t work. We were looking forward to that. There were some very loose bricks around the pool that made it a hazard. We had to avoid them. The on property people came over and we did explain our concerns over some in house concerns but when we tried to reach them , we never got a response. Also there is no way to get out of the sun. Umbrellas by the pool would have been helpful.

50th Anniversary Celebration

The home is beautiful and very large. Infinity pool was amazing, we enjoyed water play, swimming and the hot tub. Wrap around decks (3 levels) with beautiful Mountain View’s from the decks & windows. We had a catered dinner one night, the kitchen is large & a chef’s dream. Granddaughters enjoyed playing on the grand piano. We grilled on the deck & had s’mores at the outdoor fireplace. Master suite is huge, beautiful shower and tub & private deck. Everyone enjoyed the home & surroundings very much! We got beautiful photos & will have wonderful memories of our week! It was so luxurious with places people could be by themselves plus large rooms for family gatherings!

Wonderful home to gather with extended family

We had a gathering of 8 adults and our 6 grandkids ( all under age 6) the last week August . Our adult kids wanted to vacation in the mountains instead of our usual beach trip and this vacation did not disappoint! The many highlights of this home for our families were the great expansive kitchen with everything we needed for food and beverage prep, the large porches & furniture for gathering, the scenic infinity pool , the picturesque landscape and a master bedroom with enormous closets big enough to house 2 port- a cribs. Our weather was fantastic so most of the time we were on the porch, pool or perusing the land. We fished, hiked, rode bikes, played Pickleball on the property’s tennis courts. We all had so much fun at Mt. Airy Farm that we only went to Asheville one day- visiting 2 parks and breweries. This venue is ideal for weddings/receptions but also works for gathering multiple couples and kids. The blender was on its last leg but otherwise the kitchen is well equipped. The pool makes beautiful memories and scenic pictures. A fence would detract so we made sure to watch the small children carefully and insist they wear flotation devices. The hot tub in the pool and the shallow areas were perfect for those learning to swim. We never had any problems and never needed the property manager or caretaker but their contact info was provided in a nice notebook with details about the pool and the house. We all agreed this house is a keeper & we plan to return.

Amazing wedding experience

We hosted our wedding at Mt Airy Farm. It was an incredible venue, breathtaking views and plenty of space for guests. We had our immediate family staying in the house and it was very comfortable for everyone. The house has a ton of amenities, from pots/pans to the sauna and hot tub. Cole was very responsive to all my questions, as was Nicole before staying at the house. Can't recommend this house more, we will be staying again!

Incredible views

The house was beyond amazing! The views are breathtaking and the caretakers on-site are extremely helpful. Not only do they answer your questions quickly and efficiently, they make sure your stay is comfortable. My husband and I got married here and everyone talked about how amazing the house and views were. It surpassed all of my expectations. Needless to say we will be coming back!

My assistant Nicole and I are here to help make your visit one that you will remember forever! My son Cole and his partner Sarahi are the onsite caretakers and live in the nearby Carriage House and are available to assist you with anything during your stay.

As a luxury Realtor in Asheville, I have seen many amazing homes and properties in our area. This multi-million dollar Estate is with out a doubt, one of the most beautiful places I have ever come across in our mountains. Everywhere you turn you are looking at truly breathtaking views. It's a private place and only 20 minutes to downtown Asheville. The layout of the house is perfect for gatherings, allowing plenty of places for everyone to be together or places to escape to be alone. The tennis court is supposedly a replica of the courts used for the US Open in Flushing Meadows, NY.
