I love this place. It reminds me of the deer lease my family was on as a child in Central Texas. Having a ranch all to yourself, without seeing any neighbors for a weekend, well that doesn't happen often.
This place helped me get back to the basics and explore nature. I hunted arrowheads, hiked with my dogs, birdwatched, rinsed off outside with no one watching, (you get my drift) and watched a big ol orange moon rise at night.
Watch cattle and donkeys move in the morning behind the house area and into the homesite land.
I enjoyed making my meals on the easy breezy charcoal pit outside and watching TV in the evenings inside while having rye whiskey at the bar.
The porch has a nice breeze and 2 rockers to visit with folks or fly solo like I did.
The home is well appointed with a full kitchen, fridge, Keurig and regular drip coffee makers. Satellite TV worked just fine and there is a DVD player if you need to bring such. The bed was nice and comfortable. I slept very well! The bunk house is a major throwback. You don't see bunkhouses like this anymore. This would make a great place to stay with a group and/or let kids stay in the bunk house so the adults have some time to themselves.
I hope to be back soon. This place really is fantastic and it's really amazing that the Koch's share it with us! Be sure to take special care of this place so we can all keep coming back. :)
