Breathtaking!

Photographs do not do Can Xicarro Villa justice. It is absolutely breathtaking as the gates open and you enter the driveway up to the villa. The scale of the building and its grounds, which are all kept in perfect condition, cannot be appreciated until visited. I cannot imagine a more perfect setting for a large group of people to enjoy a holiday abroad. The villa itself comfortably catered for our group of 21 people. The games room within the villa itself, the pool, the tennis court, and the games outbuilding with table tennis table were particular highlights. All of the decor is traditional and maintains original features but is finished to a high standard. The rooms are all very large, some of the bathrooms are extremely luxurious with jacuzzi, and the balconies provide stunning views across the Spanish coastline. The services provided are excellent - we woke up to find the villa and gardens in the state that they were when we arrived every day. John, the owner of the villa, does an exceptionally helpful job of co-ordinating other services such as transport, catering, and activities - we particularly enjoyed Barcelona segway and golf. John is easily contactable, reliable and trustworthy. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay at Can Xicarro, and plan to return myself.

WOW What a Venue

We stayed at Can Xicarro for a management week at the end of August and had an amazing time! We were looked after extremely well by all and nothing was too much trouble from pre arrival arrangements to throughout our stay which made the whole trip so much easier and for that we are all very grateful to John Duffy and his team. Thank you and your team for an excellent experience in your villa Can Xicarro.

Splendid

We recently stayed at Can Xicarro to celebrate my upcoming 60th Birthday. With my two Sons and 19 other friends, Can Xicarro was well situated to enable us to go into Barcelona to watch the match at the Camp Nou. We had a fantastic trip - As I went through all the rooms (and the Casita), I was delighted that NONE of my guests had a bad room. The great photos of the Villa give you a feel for the place, but actually don't do it justice. Everybody was impressed. The owner, John , went the extra mile, even shipping in an extra Beer Fridge for our short stay, in case the other three were full!! He also arranged for a BBQ Chef to cook and serve for us on the Friday evening. Johns other staff were equally as nice and could not do enough for us. Sunday, we walked down to the picturesque harbour for our Evening meal, before returning to the Games Room, to finish off a splendid long weekend. Defiantly somewhere worth revisiting.

Perfect Retreat

We rented Can Xicarro for a long weekend for our annual Staff Retreat, bringing together 13 people from all over the world. Our time at Can Xicarro was simply amazing. Both the house it self and the grounds were perfect and beautifully maintained, and each one of us was able to find their own space for either work related assignments or simply relaxing. Can Xicarro is like an oasis where once the gates close, one forgets about the outside world. We will be back in 2015 for our next Staff Retreat! Ms Spafford (IETA)

Outstanding Venue for Special Holiday

This place is truly amazing. We booked it for a special holiday for our extended family (18 of us ranging in age from 10 to 87) and everyone absolutely loved it. I have to say that it looked too good to be true on the website so I took the precaution of going on an inspection trip a couple of months before we were due to arrive, just to make sure it was suitable, and we were delighted to find that it not only matched the description on the website but exceeded all our expectations. After our trip, we indicated various preferences to the amiable Scottish owner, John, such as additional beds in particular rooms to suit our group, and he accommodated all our requests without fuss. He also helped us arrange a private chef (Jonathan Rodrigues) who provided a sumptuous dinner on three of the nights we stayed. That was a real bonus. Jonathan was not only a tremendous chef but very flexible in catering for a wide range of tastes. He did the shopping for the wine and food for the meal, set the table (inside or outside on the terrace as we preferred), served dinner and cleared up afterwards. The property has great character but has also been completely modernised and fitted out with a range of facilities that really enhanced our holiday. There was everything from tennis to table football but the pool was the centre-piece, surrounded by plenty of comfortable loungers, tables and chairs with umbrellas and shaded areas. The house is set in beautiful grounds with a pond, barbecue area, lawn big enough to practise golf and other nooks and crannies with additional seating, not to mention the separate casita overlooking the tennis court. Inside, the house is naturally cool and the air conditioning is efficient. There are several reception rooms and plenty of space for everyone to find a quiet corner to listen to music or read or play pool. There is wifi in the main Blue Room but it also works outside on part of the terrace. The bedrooms, all ensuite, are spacious and the beds are all comfortable. There is a wrap-around balcony that extends all around the first floor with views not only over the gardens but to the sea beyond. The approach to the property through an area that is unattractive can be disconcerting but the grounds are completely secure, surrounded by a high wall and accessed through electronic gates. The house is cleaned and beds made every day and the gardens and pool are also tended every morning. The whole package was just perfect for what we wanted.
