My family and I travel abroad every year, exploring new places, disconnecting from every day life, and reconnecting as a family. These trips are so special to us, so we were heartbroken when our trip was canceled this year due to the virus. However, not wanting to give up completely on a vacation, I did a bit of searching for an alternative in State and stumbled across this listing for Near and Dear at Deer Lake (in Loon Lake, WA). The pictures displayed a cozy little house, on a beautiful waterfront, and so we booked it. We are SO glad that we did! This place did not disappoint. The house was the perfect size for our family of 4. The lake and it's mountain surroundings are beautiful. The hostess was extremely friendly, and answered all of my questions before our stay and during. While there is WiFi and cell service available at the house, we opted to stay relatively off of our devices with the exception of family movie nights (Netflix and Amazon prime video were available to log into on the Smart tv). It had a full size fridge, and came fully stocked with pots, pans and other kitchen essentials making it easy to make dinners. The weather was perfect during our stay, and the water relatively warm. This place offered us the santuary we needed away from the every day hustle and bustle, and enabled us to keep our yearly tradition of family bonding. We had a wonderful time and made some great memories. We enjoyed our stay so much that I've already recommended this place to a couple of friends. This was the perfect little getaway!
