最近改装されたセミデタッチの石造りのフランスの家で、プライベートプールと小さな村の美しい庭があります。 パン屋、カフェ、レストラン/ホテル、2つの小さなスーパーマーケットがある主要な村まで歩いてすぐです。 大規模な人里離れた庭にはフルーツの房がいっぱいあり、村の美しい景色を眺めることができます。 南向きのプライベートプールからは、周囲の畑の美しい景色と日光浴や食事を楽しめる大きなパティオテラスがあります。 プールには、半閉鎖の浅い端、自己閉鎖ゲートがあります。 大型の設備の整った農家のキッチンはこの家の中心で、8〜10人用の大きなダイニングテーブルがあります。 外には、夕方に日光浴やバーベキューを楽しむのに最適な新しいテラスがあります。 超高速WiFiもあります。

A wonderful old quirky farmhouse with plenty of space for us all. We had 9 family members over 3 generations and the house worked brilliantly. Theres a large outside dining area although we eat inside as it was much cooler. The bedrooms worked well with each family having their own bathroom, lovely crisp quality linen and comfortable beds. The pool area was used plenty and the large mattresses under the trees are a great idea. We kayaked on the Dordogne, visited Aubeterre en Dronne a couple of times, a lovely area and interesting little village. We would all love to return to make more fabulous memories. The host is extremely helpful and responds quickly to any questions.

Glorious farmhouse

We loved this house - it’s huge with lots of rooms and great spaces for meals etc. We loved the pool and garden and the location was great for exploring the local area and delicious restaurants and a shop within walking distance. Will definitely visit again!

Lovely property in relaxing location

Beautifully restored and decorated property. Children enjoyed the pool/table football/table tennis and rope swings. We really enjoyed the peaceful location, yet easy stroll or cycle to the village with its ample amenities. Nice and quiet/safe enough to send the older children to the bakery by themselves for the morning bread example. We really enjoyed Aubeterre and, outside of the town, the popular river beach. Also the base at Nabinaud with its small accrobranche trail, maze, river beach, mill and restaurant also a hit with everyone. We enjoyed cycling in this area too.

Great family/large group destination

We have now been to stay here several times during the summer holidays and it is perfect for 2 or 3 families holidaying together. It is very private and peaceful, yet you have the necessary amenities at the end of the lane. The house is well equipped and functional. My favourite things are: the south facing pool and large garden overlooking the sunflower field, the big kitchen ideal for group cooking and the outside lean to, so you can still enjoy being outside if it rains. And for a Londoner like me, nothing beats lying on the lawn with a drink in hand, gazing up into the infinite night sky. The children (7 and 6) love the river lakes of Le Jamaye (?) and Aubettere.

The farm house is wonderful, well equipped and plenty of space for the 9 of us. The locations is fantastic with the town a short walk away, where there was a Spar, brasserie & Indian restaurant (highly recommended). On arrival the pool was murky and dirty, and we had to clean the day bed sheets, the owner it got sorted with help from a local friend and the hoover was run daily. The air con is only in the main bedroom above the kitchen which was disappointing as the weather was 42 degrees and the other bedrooms were very hot at night. A welcome pack would have been nice to understand the local area more. We discovered a Cognac distillery with free tour of the chateau 10 mins away, which was also fantastic! Overall a great holiday with a few niggles.

Le lieu est très sympa ; proximité des commerces... joli village de St Séverin l'accueil par le gérant est inexistant (un SMS indiquant la présence des clés sur la porte ; idem pour le départ) ; entretien de la piscine inexistant (nous avons du demander à ce qu'il soit fait ; c'est nous qui avons du faire l'entretien durant 15 jours) gros manque de vaisselle ; sèche linge ne fonctionnant qu'à l'air froid...

Just what was needed!

This was a family booking involving three generations. The house was flexible enough to accommodate everyone in comfort and we loved the family kitchen. It had a great collection of cook books. Unusually there were three fridges. The boulangerie and small super market were within walking distance which meant that those without cars could go for bread and croissants! It was very child friendly and the shallow end of the pool was ideal for the under 3 years old of our party. The House Manager and his wife looked after us very well and responded quickly to our requests. We had fireworks, a fair, church bells, a full moon, dramatic thunderstorm and spectacular dawns with views over the mist and fields to the steeple of the St Severin church. We ate outside all the time with a lime tree providing ample shade. All in all just what was needed after three years of not being in France.

mooie boerderij met zwembad in een rustige omgeving

Wij hadden een leuke tijd in in de knap gerenoveerde boerderij. Alle faciliteiten waren aanwezig om een onstspannen vakantie door te brengen. Het ochtend wandelingetje naar de lokale bakker is een echte aanrader.

Wunderschöne Zeit im Perigord

Wir haben zu sechst eine Woche in diesem wundervollen Haus verbracht und sind alle begeistert. Es ist noch schöner als auf den Bildern. Man merkt dem Haus an, dass es mit Liebe restauriert wurde. Es ist sehr geräumig und der große Walnussbaum im Garten bietet angenehmen Schatten an heißen Tagen. Das Dörfchen ist sehr ruhig, hat aber die nötigen Geschäfte in Fußreichweite und wenn wir Abwechslung wollten, sind wir in das 10 km entfernte Aubeterre gefahren, wo es einen Fluss zum Baden und Kanu/Kajakfahren, eine herrliche Aussicht, nette Gassen, zwei schöne Kirchen, kleine Geschäfte und verschiedene Restaurants gibt.

Lovely stay

The house is very charming, the garden and swimmingpool are perfect for small children (and dog). A 5 minute walk to the supermarket, bakery, restaurant,… and lots of things to do in the area. (Saint Severin is very calm, Aubeterre and Angouleme are more animated). We definitely had a lovely week! Leen

Not recommended

The area is very rural and nice. The house is not in a proper state for holding 2 families for a vacation. Everything in the house is nearly broken, broken and dirty, has nothing to do with being old farm house. It is old farm house with low quality facility that have been poorly maintained and cleaned. Freezer not working, gas hob some of it working. The gas container is inside the house which is safety hazard, unclean dishes and utensils, second TV which was not operable. Towels dirty and worn out. Generally sense of neglect. The owner is communicative but tries to convice it is ok, in some cases tried to fix, by replace dirty towels with wet towels (...) just stay at home, it will be easier. The rooms are not in the same level, some have too low bars which is a safety hazard, other room the floor is bent (yes bent!) and it feels as if you are not stable while walking. For sitting in the house for a meal there is not enough chairs. I can go on on ...i hope you get the point whoever it is.

We are very sorry you did not enjoy your stay. The house is old and built out of stone 300 years ago and a character property which has been restored but some walls are exposed stone and are not straight. One bedroom floor follows the beams so again is not straight but fully safe and yes one bedroom has a low beam from the dressing area into the bedroom and bathroom. In response to some specific points & for the benefit of future guests. - Just this season year we have had a new washing machine, new TV and dishwasher & the freezer worked perfectly for both the guests before and after this stay. - We provided an two additional sets of clean towels to the guest 3 days into the stay. FYI - due to Covid regulations our property manager had only just laundered them so they were washed but not yet fully dry but left on the line in 30 degree heat. 22 clean towels provided in total. - The oven is a gas oven, its perfectly legal, safe and very normal in France to have a bottle as there is no rural mains gas in many areas. The connection is checked by our maintenance team and dated. Again our property manager visited again and to ensure final 5th ring of the hob was working. - We have seating for 8 in the kitchen, 14 in the terrace and another 8 in the garden. There are also spare chairs in the house if required. - We are confident the house was clean at the start of the stay, but we asked the cleaners to return, they wiped the dishwasher residue from the glass, they also cleaned the tea stain in the teapot and replaced the baking trays.

Excellentes vacances familiales dans cette veille maison pleine de charme et restaurée avec beaucoup de goût de façon simple et authentique. Le confort des chambres est parfait avec une bonne literie et salle d’eau pour chacune. Nick a été très agréable et disponible pour la préparation de notre séjour. Mark, qui est sur place pour gérer la maison et la piscine, fût bien disponible aussi et très efficace. Quand la machine à laver le linge s’est cassée car trop vieille, Mark est venu deux jours après installer une machine neuve ! Merci à tous les deux pour avoir facilité l’excellent séjour. Nous avons aussi beaucoup aimé le paysage autour de la maison !

Wonderful house with a great garden!

We had an exceptionally nice stay in Nick‘s house. The house is beautifully decorated and the garden offers many cozy places in the shade and in the sun. Service was great, one day after arrival the manager came to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. After the first week the pool and the Garden were cleaned, so that we felt very comfortable for the whole two weeks. Highly recommended!

Beautiful rustic charm

The farmhouse is absolutely perfect. We recently spent a wonderful week relaxing as a family. There is a rustic charm about the property with a spectacular view across the countryside and down to the village. In doors the rooms are large, spacious and cool downstairs with character bedrooms. Outside is a generous garden and a pool with a view. There is a covered terrace for relaxing and dining and plenty of seating to enjoy the afternoon sun and views. The location was perfect too. Five minutes walk into the village with a great local Bistro/restaurant and a pizza/burger place serving a full English breakfast on a Sunday morning. Ideally situated for easy access to Aubeterre sur dronne and many other wonderful places to visit. Highly recommend you stay here for the perfect french holiday

A great family break in a lovely place

We stayed here with out family of 7 - 6 kids and one baby - and had a wonderful team. The farmhouse was great - plenty of space, good facilities and a great pool. The local village was nearby, a lovely cafe, and great bar. The Spar was also in walking distance. Lots of things to do in the area. A fantastic break all round, and we hope to go back again one day.

Clean, friendly and secluded property on the outskirts of small village/town.

We echo all previous 5star reviews. All that you’d expect from a typical French property. Excellent location and facilities. It is semi detached and has neighbours but absolutely no intrusion or bother. It is a private location with lovely covered terrace for evening and daytime relaxing.

Brilliant holiday so different to the usual week in Spain

My family and I had one of our best holidays ever. The farmhouse was perfect for everyone from my 2 year old grandson to my 26 year old daughter and her partner. Would definitely holiday there again.

We are a young family and all love going to France on holiday, the boys are forever in the garden or pool whilst my wife and I spend our time eating, drinking coffee or having a glass of rose as the sun sets.

We wanted a place we could have stress free family holidays, where the food would be great and we could fly for the weekend or drive if we were staying longer. We picked this place because its in the Perigord, the gastronomic heart of France, its about the closest place with a significantly better climate and its such a relaxing place.

この宿泊施設の特徴

We have recently built a terrace outside, perfect for eating out in the summer with a glass of wine or two. The large kitchen is at the center of the house, cool in summer and warm in the winter in front of the wood burner.
We have kept a French feel but dispensed with some of the chintz and dark interiors that can characterize some other properties in this area.
We love the location of the house a short walk to the village but far enough out to allow you to unwind in a bit of peace and quite.
