The "Casa do Brasão" originaly built in the XIX century, was fully restored and gently decorated.

This villa with a private pool has three (3) bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen fully equipped, and one bathroom. Outside, you have a pool and outdoor area and a parking spot for exclusive use.

This cottage also has a fireplace, air conditioner, free Wifi, and TV with cable chanels.

The "Casa do Brasão" is located in the tiny typical village of Barretos, in the Marvão area.

Stylish house in great location

This house is so stylish you'll be taking photos from the moment you walk in. Great décor and some quirky touches make this an amazing place. This is also by far the most well equipped house you'll stay in. Tins of kitchen accessories, hair dryers, firewood for the fireplace and even several seating areas outside. The pool is great and the only sounds youll hear are the goats' bells in the distance. I'd love to bring this house home with me. TV worked and was tuned with lits of channels. Luis is a great and generous host and all was as described. A couple of quirky points: there are no bedroom doors, although the curtains and archway entrances make it private. The mezzanine bedroom (the best) is also open-plan. Would recommend if you are visiting Marvão. We'll be back.

Lovely house, stunning views, can't wait to go back.

I've been meaning to stay in this property for the last few years, but never managed to get there. The house exceeded our expectations. Although it was quite warm for October we didn't manage to use the pool. However, it was just nice to sit outside and eat or have a glass of wine and watch the sun set towards Castelo de Vide. We are already looking to go back sometime next summer.

Maison tout Confort! Avant notre arrivée Luis était déjà très prévenant et pendant notre séjour il l est resté. Un grand merci à lui tout particulièrement. La maison, le lieu et sa piscine sont parfaits pour un séjour reposant et très confortable. Décorée avec goût et moderne on prend vite ses marques pour en profiter! Merci pour ces prestations et merci pour cette gentillesse et professionnalisme! A bientôt....

Haus mit Stil in der wunderschönen Serra de Sao Mamede

Das Haus Casa Brasao liegt sehr ruhig in einem kleinen Dorf in der Nähe von Marvao. Von der Terrasse hat man einen tollen Blick auf die Burg Marvao und auf Castelo de Vide, abends wurden wir täglich mit einem grandiosen Sonnenuntergang belohnt. Das Haus ist stilvoll, marokanisch angehaucht, eingerichtet, die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet (Joao, there could be one larger pan for those adventuring to cook - for 4 people fine, for 6 the one in the house is too small.) Zwei Minuspunkte haben wir zu vergeben: Die Matratzen sind für Leichtgewichte ok, ansonsten unbeguem. (New matrasses fpr the queen size and king size bed would be great!) Man muss sich darüber im Klaren sein, dass weder das Studio oben noch die beiden Schlafzimmer eine Tür haben! Sie sind durch dicke Vorhänge von dem Wohnzimmer getrennt.... Etwas für leise Schläfer ! :-) Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich, wie eigentlich alle Portugiesen, hat uns auf Anfrage sofort mit Holz für den Ofen versorgt. Essen gehen in Portagem, "Mil Homens" war klasse und preislich angemessen. Wir empfehlen die Serra de Sao Mamede vor allem im Frühling, im Sommer ist es zu heiß!!! In Portagem gibt es ein Flussbad, eine praia fluvial, in der Nähe von Marvao kann man reiten, ansonsten ist die Gegend angenehm unerschlossen vom Tourismus. Wanderwege top!

Amazing house in an amazing region

We arrived at this amazing house to find something that was way better than anything we had expected. A well equipped and comfortable house in a very pleasant village. Birds singing and the bells carried by the sheep were the main sounds that accompanied us throughout the stay. The region is a wonderful place for hiking and spring flowers made this a real treat. We would have loved to stay much longer but time to move on. Thank you for making our vacation such a pleasant one!!

Incredibily peaceful and beautiful place to stay

We had an amazing time here last summer. The house is very stylish and has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is really well equipped and there is a lovely dining area outside which we thoroughly enjoyed in the evenings. There is internet access, satelite TV (good choice of channels) and lots of books and board games. The pool provides welcome relief from the Alentejo heat, although it does have a lot of chemicals in it, which can be a problem for people with sensitive skin. We recommend a quick hose down after swimming. Towels are also provided. The surrounding area is one of the most beautiful places in Portugal and it is so quiel and calm. You really do feel like you have left everything behind and you can relax completely. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone wanting to visit this area.

A lovely gem!

We had a wonderful time at the Casa do Brasao. A beautiful, clean, well-equipped cottage in a quiet location. We enjoyed many mornings out on the stone table listening to birds, hearing the sheep bells and enjoying the olive grove. We will definitely recommend to friends.
