Great vista's, fabulous golf course.

Nice property. Be prepared thought to heat the home with fireplace in the Winter and Spring. Enjoyed the stay, owner very repsonsive.

A lovely house in a beautiful location

If you want to travel the Garden Route to play golf, watch whales (if you go at the right time of year) or simply enjoy the beauty of South Africa, Knysna is a wonderful place to visit, and this is an excellent house in which to stay. Ocean House is very well appointed and has everything you would ever need if you're planning on staying in the area. It overlooks the Indian Ocean and the Pezula golf estate, and is just a short drive from Knysna with it's wide range of shops and food stores and excellent restaurants around the harbour or on Thesen Island. And if you're planning on playing golf, the Pezula golf course meanders through the valleys behind the house and along the coast and is an excellent challenge for golfers of all standards. Just down the road from Pezula there is also Kynsna which is a traditional members' golf club that boarders the lagoon and Simola, a Jack Nicklaus designed course created up in the hills behind Knysna offering fantastic views across the whole area. Overall, it's a really good place to stay.

The property is owned by myself Paul, my wife Jill and our lifelong friends John & Christina. We are now early retired from the careers of Sales/Marketing, Banking, Law and Nursing.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We all fell in love with SA in general and Knysna in particular when we first visited in the 1995. We visited the then newly opened then "Sparrebosch" Golf and Clifftop Estate in 2000 and to our own complete surprise bought a plot of land which in our opinion had the best view on the estate. We then set about the task of finding an architect (Tom Joyce) and builder (Clive Bouwer who both turned out to be absolutely fantastic. To cut a long story short our "dream house" was completed in March 2002. We now spend up about 3 months a year in Ocean House and are continually upgrading the house and garden.

What can I say, there is so much to love....
Set in an amazing prime position on the Pezula Golf Estate. Ocean House has spectacular views over the Indian Ocean, the surrounding golf course and the Outeniqua Mountains. Offering accommodation of a very high standard, our house can accommodate up to 8 in spacious luxury. Some of the benefits offered include 2 double and 2 twin bedrooms, galleried landing, double volume open plan living and dinning area, television area with satellite TV, fully equipped kitchen, utility room, braai (BBQ) / garden room. The outside areas include a heated infinity pool, landscaped gardens, ocean facing braai room deck and pool terrace and a north facing secluded lawned garden area.
