Living in London,we have 4 grown up children-2 sons,2 daughters and seven grandchildren. Rob my husband has always loved Italy ever since he was a student at Perugia University many years ago. Our romantic dream was to one day have a place in Italy, where we could meet up with our family as well as having friends to stay. Having fallen in love with Le Marche and the people-the scenery is amazing with beautiful unspoilt medieval hill-top villages and undulating countryside- we achieved our dream in 2005. The region offers all the best 21st century facilities but in a laid-back atmosphere reminiscent of a much earlier time. We restructured our farmhouse with a view to making it a wonderful holiday home-large living space downstairs with lots of doors onto the garden and easy access to the pool. After spending many years sourcing high-quality rustic furniture typical of old houses in the area and carrying out improvements we decided a few years ago that the time had come to share it with others-we hope that you enjoy our villa as much as we do!

The location of our home is fantastic for holiday makers in summer and winter because it has everything you need so close to hand and yet at the same time you have a feeling of isolation and tranquillity. Turn off the road, down a short white road and around the corner is Casa delle Stelle and the annesso or cottage nestling among the trees and through the wrought-iron gates It is a 45 minute easy drive from Ancona airport in a beautiful part of Le Marche in the depths of the countryside and outside the little charming hilltop village of Avacelli. From our garden you can see the highest mountain in the region Monte Murano as well as the natural park Gola della Rossa and the hilltop villages of Mergo and Rosora. There are great restaurants close by but Sunday lunch at Le Betulle our very own local is a must.
