What a wonderful place! We really enjoyed the fantastic view, the charming house and garden and of course the pool. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful in any case. Highly recommended, also for families!

Wonderful week at Alassio

We had the pleasure of staying at this Villa for a week. It is in a wonderfully tranquil location and the villa looks like something from a magazine. Everything worked the way it should have, plus the pool kept the kids busy for the whole week. It was a pleasure from start to finish and we will certainly come back next year. If you are thinking of taking this villa for a week or 2, do it. You will not regret it!

Beautiful home, delightful hosts!

We loved everything about our stay. The location is perfection. The space beautifully created; it is very clean and more than comfortable with beautiful views. The children spent hours in the pool and looking for lizards. The kitchen has everything you need. The beds were very comfortable. It’s a dream vacation home. We would have stayed longer if we could. Elisa and Ricardo were warm, caring, helpful. We would love to return.

Vacation with group of friends

We spent there a week in late summer 2013. There were nine adults and two kids. The most perfect number of people would have probably been seven, however we managed very well. The pool was very nice! And the view from villa amazing! Hiking trails were close, so some of the travel mates went for a longer walks. Since the villa is couple of kilometers uphill from Alassio car is definitely a must. Owner of the villa - Elisa - was always very helpful - during the booking and during our stay.

Charming house in a beautiful setting

We had a great week at La Maclura. Lovely Elisa was there to welcome us ( even though it was after midnight) and was on hand to offer information if we needed her . The house is charming, full of character and clean and well equipped. The pool and outdoor areas are pretty and well kept. We did some walking in the area, a snorkelling trip to an island and a trip to Menton and Monaco; and Alassio is a very busy little town with great shopping and beach fun. Highly recommended. Thankyou Elisa.

Beautiful property in the hills.

The property is beautiful and the setting is stunning with amazing views out to sea. Be prepared for the 15 min drive up small mountain roads from Alassio, lots of blind corners and hair-pin bends which mean you don’t pop out for milk etc easily. The property manager is on site and is helpful if you need beach or shopping suggestions. The facilities at the property are good and our children (8,11,13) loved the pool. There is however a lot of concern from the property manager about noise around the pool area, which in the end left our children feeling uncomfortable. This was unfortunate and unexpected in a property marketed as family-friendly.

The "NOISE POLICY" chapter in the hospitality book I hand out to our guests upon arrival informs that: "The peaceful village of Vegliasco has a remarkably splendid amphitheatre form. Consequently, the acoustics are perfect ...! Not to take anything away from your holiday, but please note that all neighbours hear voices as if they were next to us. So, at 10 pm, it will lower every sound. Please read also the chapter "Pool" below. Never to be in the wrong". The following chapter POOL says: "An unexpected echo resounds against the castle in front of you and the houses around you. Enjoy the pool 😉 making sure that children do not scream when playing in the area". After initial dismay and despite the ungenerous three stars, I must thank Rebecca because her review confirmed how much we care about respecting the rules that protect the peace of other guests. Therefore, the shouting of three children in the swimming pool from 8.30 in the morning until late in the evening for five days in a row (with some temporary intervals) has exhausted the generous and understanding tolerance of the entire Borgo. All this despite my kind recommendation - already from the first day - to limit the screaming in the pool area. The complaints greatly embarrassed us, and we couldn't ignore the request to silence the noisy neighbours. I am very sorry that the subsequent polite (always polite!) invitation to lower their voices (it was 9.45 on the penultimate evening of their stay) caused discomfort to children who were not to blame for their shouting, also because they were excited by their father who, instead of be effective at controlling the kids, competed with them to who shouted the loudest. Unfortunately, there is a lack of education not only in the swimming pool (written on the wall with a ballpoint pen, house left in terrible conditions).

Wonderful house and garden

Perhaps leading the way: We are a family of five (3 children) from Switzerland and for the last 4 years have last spent our holidays in either one of Elisa's beautiful houses . Both houses are beautifully restored and offer plenty of space. With the equipment : kitchen utensils, stove, oven are good devices, which are really intended for use. The bathrooms are nice, clean, the water pressure is strong. Even with the mattress Elisa was generous, there are memory mattresses - really very comfortable! The garden is huge and offers many opportunities to relax. The sea view is fantastic! Each house has its own BBQ place, but it also has a common barbecue place in front of the pool including pizza oven (which gave us a lot of fun). Each of the houses has it's own pool which is great and perfect for holidays with kids. I couldn't recomend Elisa's houses more!

Perfect location, very well kept, great owners

We were three families (6 adults and 4 children between 3 and 9 years) and spent a week in July in Elisa and Ricardo´s wonderful house. We really enjoyed our holidays and had a great time. The house is renovated with love, all rooms are practically furnished. At the same time you can see that the owners have a lot of taste and take care of their house. It was possible to go hiking in the area around. The swimmingpool was bigger than expected, Ricardo was cleaning it every day. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace with a view and having our dinner there. There is a big barbecue we liked to use. You can spend a lot of time in the house and garden, but it is also very easy to go down to the beach or to the small village Moglio where you can find a baker and a very delicious trattoria. I could go on with saying a lot of good things about the location. It has been a perfect holiday for us families and I can highly recommend the place. Maybe we will come back ;)

Couple d’hôtes très agréable et très serviable (présent sur place). La piscine est très agréable.Attention toutefois à noter que les pièces à vivre ne sont pas climatisées (cuisine et salon). Les chambres du bas ne le sont pas non plus, mais restent malgré tout agréable car bénéficient d’un ventilateur dans chaque chambre.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié votre grande sensibilité au charme, aux détails et à l'atmosphère de notre villa historique.Vous avez parfaitement décrit l'esprit de la maison : située en colline à Alassio, elle bénéficie d'une fraîcheur naturelle et d'une brise marine constante. C'est pourquoi nous privilégions une ventilation douce au rez-de-chaussée (avec de grands ventilateurs en bois et des moustiquaires de haute qualité), tout en réservant la climatisation à l'étage mansardé, plus exposé au soleil. Wir hatten eine wirklich tolle Zeit in dieser Ferienwohnung und können sie von Herzen weiterempfehlen. Das Besitzerpaar ist überaus herzlich und wohnt direkt nebenan – dadurch war immer jemand für uns da, wenn wir Hilfe brauchten. Die Aufmerksamkeit und Gastfreundschaft haben unseren Aufenthalt besonders gemacht.Die Anlage selbst ist top gepflegt und sehr sauber, der Pool lädt zum Entspannen ein. Parkplätze direkt vor dem Eingang machen die An- und Abreise super einfach. Ein besonderes Highlight war der Garten, aus dem wir uns frei mit frischen Zitronen und Kräutern bedienen durften – ein schönes Extra, das man nicht oft findet.Auch die Zimmer waren makellos sauber, es gibt reichlich Schlafmöglichkeiten und mehrere Duschen, sodass auch größere Gruppen bequem Platz finden. Insgesamt war einfach alles tipptopp organisiert.Wir kommen definitiv gerne wieder und können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen

wunderschöner Aufenthalt

Wir verbrachten eine Woche mit Freunden im Ferienhaus. Es war durchweg wunderbar. Das Haus liegt sehr hoch in den Bergen, ca. 15 Min vom Ortskern entfernt. Wir waren zu 8 und hatten ausreichend Platz. Für Abends sollte man Autan o.Ä. dabei haben. Alles war sauber und gemütlich. Der Pool ist groß und sauber. Die Vermieter sind sehr sympathisch und sehr nett!

Toller Urlaub

Sehr angenehme Gastgeber, tolle Finca mit sehr gepflegtem Garten. Es ist alles vorhanden. Die Aussicht auf das Meer ist herrlich. Zur Finca hin fährt man etwa 10 Minuten den Berg rauf, die Straßen sind hier gut befahrbar.

Ruhig und erholsam

Das Haus liegt am Berghang auf einem terassenartigem Gelände. Es liegt sehr idyllisch, ruhig und fern vom Trubel der Stadt. Es bietet einen wunderschönen Blick ins Tal. Allerdings ist Meerblick nur vom oberen Balkon möglich. Es hat 2 Schlafzimmer im Dachgeschoss und 3 Schlafzimmer im Untergeschoss. Insgesamt gibt es 3 Badezimmer mit Duschen. Es ist für 9 Personen ausreichend mit allem ausgestattet, der Esstisch in der Küche ist für 9 Personen allerdings zu klein. Der Esstisch und Stühle außen könnten bei längeren Grillabenden etwas gemütlicher sein. Die Temperaturen am Abend sind aufgrund der Lage in den Bergen angenehmer als in Alassio selbst. Eine dünne Jacke hilft, wenn es später und kühler wird. Man sollte auf Mücken am Abend und sporadischem Auftreten von Ameisen vorbereitet sein. Die Besitzer leben direkt nebenan und sind sehr liebenwert und helfen mit vielen Empfehlungen zu Strand, Restaurants oder sonstigen Aktivitäten. Der Pool ist ein Salzwasserpool, was wir als sehr angenehm empfunden haben. Die Straße zum Haus ist eng! Bei Gegenverkehr muss man rückwärts fahren bis eine Ausweichbucht kommt. First of all, an explanation! As you saw, the owner has a name, Luca Raggi, and it's true. But the lines below describe a piece of my life and my feelings. I am Elisa, and I am your contact. Luca is my children's dad and our tax representative, too; this is the reason why you see him as an account) and with him and my second husband Riccardo, pictured with me, we have completed this great project. The house, dating back to the XVI century, is completely restored with care and love for the past. A job that lasted five years, meeting all kinds of difficulties... the opportunity to publish the pictures you just saw is a source of pride and great satisfaction for all our family, but especially for me, I confess. The project was so exciting to inducing me - an executive manager in a big company - to radically change my working life. A good result, I think, but what an effort! I worked hard to get it, but now the dream of my life is a reality. I love this place so much (I married Luca here, in the family castle you see on the left), and then I have shifted some of my passion to the home walls. I hope you feel what I mean if you stay here for some days!
