Coastal Cottage In A Stunning Cliff Top Location

The major rebuild is now complete to this truly iconic coastal villa situated on the cliff edge with 180 degree sea views.
The restored cottage on the Sussex coast, 5 miles to the east of Brighton. The cottage, known as 'Weatherall' is positioned just yards from the chalk cliff with stunning 180 degree sea views. The cottage has been refurbished to a very high standard and has been furnished in a sympathetic beach cottage style and provides ample accommodation for families or groups of adults alike. Clifftop and coastal walks can be taken directly from the cottage and good beaches are plentiful with Saltdean's classic Lido beach complex, only a mile away and Brighton with its pier and long promenade 10 minutes by car. For walkers there is the beautiful South Downs National Park just a few miles away with the famous Severn Sisters and Beachy Head Lighthouse. Water sports abound in the area with surfing, hang and paragliding all available. Good restaurants and pubs can be found nearby and buses between Brighton and Eastbourne run every 10 minutes from close to the cottage. Free WIFI. Should you wish to rent my home for short period eg 2 nights I may add a surcharge which you will be advised at prior to booking .

The house is wonderful and has plenty of space. It has all the appliances and everything you need for a worry-free holiday. The view is stunning, and the location is perfect if you plan to explore the south coast of England. Yvonne, the owner, is a great host and pays attention to every detail to make guests feel comfortable. There was even shampoo and conditioner in every bathroom. I would definitely recommend it!

Family holiday at the cliffs

We waren hier met een gezin van 6 volwassenen, een baby en een hond. We hebben ren superweek gehad. Het huis was heel goed gelegen , dichtbij een bushalte ( om naar Brighton te gaan ) , een echte pub op de kliffen ( Smuggler’s rest en we konden hele leuke wandelingen maken met de hond vanaf het huis.

We have stayed here before and this house remains impressive. It is spacious, well equipped and has stunning views out to sea.The bedrooms are particularly spacious and downstairs provides plenty of space if the adults want to separate themselves from one another.It is very dog friendly but is also very secure so that they can’t escape.The owner provided timely updates on access information so there were no worries on that score.All in all we had a wonderful week ( 6 adults dog) and glorious weather.

Excellent property

We had a family reunion, this property was perfect. Four great sized bedrooms 3 en-suite with balconies and sea views,and the ground floor bedroom immediately next to a further bathroom. A huge kitchen diner, separate dining room and good size lounge. Wonderful setting, all fixtures and fitting were of high standard. We have no negative comments at all and recommend this property without reservation.

Modern, well situated coastal property.

Beautiful property with sea views, perfect for a large family or group of friends. Well presented with plenty of equipment. Regular bus service at the end of the road so no need to use your car.. Owner exceptional to deal with, nothing too much bother for her. Blessed with outstanding weather which made for an excellent week.

Great House, Great Location, Great Host.

We stayed here in May 2024 as a family of three generations, (ages 15 to 78) along with two friends and a small dog! Everything was perfect, the house, the view (OMG) and Yvonne was a wonderful host making sure everything was there and we wanted for nothing! AMAZING!!

Beautiful home in a peaceful quiet neighborhood. Beautifully finished with a gourmet kitchen, large rooms, and good furnishings. Highly recommend for a family vacation rental. Great bus links to Brighton and New Haven. Great host and comfortable beds. Upstairs bedroom are all ensuite with large balconies. Top drawer vacation rental.

A jewel in Peacehaven

The house was very spacious. Easy to find, check-in easy, good communication from Yvonne. The bedrooms were very big and had everything you need. Kitchen is well equipped, garden big enough for the dogs to run around in and they were even provided with water bowls. Good views from the decking area and good location for dog walking. Local pubs/restaurants were OK but we tended to get an UBER into Brighton where there's more going on. The photos don't do it justice, its more spacious that it looks. We had a great time, thanks Yvonne.

6 night stay for rest and relaxation in Sussex. We have family in Seaford so know the area well. Superb property with ample room for 8 adults. Plenty of parking and outside space. Stunning sea views. The property is finished to a high standard and the host was excellent - with detailed information pack provided. We made use of the BBQ provided. Regular bus services to Brighton. Plenty of food options within walking distance. Saltdean beach a 30 minute walk.

Cliff top location with spectacular views

Wow, this property is really stunning in its location as well as the exterior and interior decor. The rooms are all well furnished with plenty of room to spread. We were a family group of 8 'pensioners' plus one well behaved dog. All rooms are well equipped and every bedroom having a television and en-suite. The kitchen facilities were first class. Would thoroughly recommend this property to either a group of friends or family. We even found the kitchen sideboard was full of games, should we have got bored!!

A beautiful place

Everything here is arranged and decorated meticulously. Black - white -grey. Everything has been thought of- comfort- style- convenience. We spent many hours just in the house- gazing at the sea. You have the best view of the English Channel- as the sun comes up and goes down. The moonlit sea was an extra. The wind farm a few miles into the sea. TVs in every room- music systems in every room- 3 huge bedroom very tastefully decorated- all en-suite- again everything in white-black-grey. Wake up in any bedroom- gaze at the sea from your bed. Or sit in the balconies with full view of the sea. Another downstairs bedroom with the toilet/shower next to it. Another cloakroom downstairs. The kitchen is very large with a large island and a breakfast table. Everything there- even the spices. Benches at the front or at the back for a barbecue. Or any cuisine is a few minutes walk or drive. We have Indian, Mediterranean, Italian and pub food. Go for walks- along the cliff for miles- with places to sit and enjoy the view every few yards- or go down to the pebble beach. We will come back again!

What a find this house was

What a find this house was! We stayed for a week in August as an extended family of 7. There was more than enough space plus the added bonus of a bathroom for every bedroom and lovely little added extras of toiletries. Great location that was near amenities if you wanted them but also far away enough to enjoy the views and peace. Yvonne was a great host. She kept in touch and we knew she was there if we needed anything (not that we did). Lots of information in the welcome pack. Check in was simple and straightforward. We all had a lovely week and would definitely return!

Fabulous Ocean Therapy!

Amazing Stay. Nothing was too much trouble for Yvonne the owner - communication was perfect. The House was idyllic and perfect for a relaxing weekend. Every bedroom is ensuite, most have balconies to enjoy watching the waves. The Kitchen is phenomenal and definitely works for groups or familys. We would not hesitate to book again. Peacehaven’s Paridise

This property in Peacehaven was amazing and perfect get away. It was great for walking the dog and perfectly close to all amenities. The views were breathtaking and the property was spacious and relaxing with plenty of light! The beaches are below the cliff and a few meters from the property which was a dream and quiet enough to relax too. I would definitely recommend and stay here again! I hope you enjoy as much as we did.

Excellent Holiday Property

Very large holiday property, ideal for mixed family groups, or multiple household groups. Lovely location, with walking directly from the door. Well equipped, with nearly everything you could want. We were all very sorry yo say goodbye to the view.

Fabulous property

Excellent property with plenty of kitchen equipment and lots of space. Brilliant position just minutes from the beach where we spent lots of time rock pooling. All bedrooms spacious with the mist amazing views. Book that property as you will not be disappointed!

Wonderful!

We had an amazing week. The cottage is clean and well equipped sleeping 6 comfortably. There are plenty of amenities nearby including takeaways and supermarket. Walk down the esplanade to see the giant ammonites on the beach. Easy bus service to Brighton, Eastbourne and beyond. The pics on the website don't do the view justice! Totally rejuvenated from this peaceful holiday. I'm checking my diary as we speak for a second visit...

A couple of years ago decided to give the property a major upgrade and so now its ready for re launch. Its been a real pleasure to once again begin letting the property as a holiday let and especially meeting many wonderful people, some who return year after year. I am really proud of the property which now is finished to a high standard.

My husband and myself purchased the property at auction in 2009. We both fell in love with it as soon as we saw it, it was its location that we loved most as the cottage itself was pretty run down but with over 12 months hard to get it into a reasonable state. Two years ago we once again embarked on another much more challenging renovation. Totally transforming the small cottage into a much more desirable place to spend time in and relax. Its great when people walk past the cottage and remark how good the place is looking. I believe this is such a special house and I hope you will enjoy bits amazing location, especially those who like me have a passion for being close to the sea.

The most unique feature of the property is its stunning cliff top location, with very few houses in a comparable location on such a nice large plot. Being able to step outside your door and take a coastal walk along the sea is just wonderful. Now the property can suit all needs with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms spread over two floors .
