Peaceful week

A great place to get away and have a peaceful week. The Croft had everything we needed, was clean, cosy and made a great base for exploring the area. Good walks and plenty of wildlife to be spotted.

Superb!

Excellent in every way. Wonderful wildlife, facilities, and very very peaceful. If you are looking for tranquility and tip top facilities this is the place to stay. This was our second visit and it won’t be the last!

Perfect hideaway

Beautifully located and very well equipped and is obviously a much loved family holiday home. Due to drainage work and disruption to parts of the garden, Steven very generously gave us a discount. There are good local facilities within a few miles so a car is an absolute must. Stunning scenery was only slightly marred by some very wet weather and all the local people we met were friendly and very helpful. A great week!

Peace and quiet in a wonderful setting

This was our 4th visit to Dalilea and as ever it didn’t disappoint, it’s a trip and destination wee look forward to all year. We both love the outdoors and wildlife spotting and this area has the latter in abundance and Dalilea is the perfect base. We love the contrast between the old Croft with the main bedroom (with on suite), Kitchen and Dining room with its log burner. And the modern extension with second bedroom, bathroom and the lounge area with its views across Loch Shiel and a second log burner much of our evenings are spent in here drinking wine, reading or watching out for passing Red Dear or one of the White Tailed Eagles. Can’t wait to come back

Great

We had a great time here, weather not too bad at all for a good few days. Easy distance to some sightseeing destinations (Sanna bay,lighthouse, Tioram(?) castle). Even up to Traigh to play golf and glenfinnan to see the train. House well enough equipped (a microwave would be a huge plus point though). Internet a bit on & off at times, but we knew that beforehand, so not a complaint. Large garden, enclosed, perfect for the dog - try as she did, but she didn't find a weak spot to escape! All in all, we very much enjoyed it and would recommend. Thanks

Lovely 'little' place! Great memories to be made :-)

Perfect get-away! We had a wonderful week staying in DALILEA for the kids halfterm holiday. The house is small, but has all the conveniences necessary to make for a comfortable stay. After spending most of our days exploring the fantastic local scenery it was wonderful to come back to the tack room and the underfloor heating to dry things off, warm shovers and the chairs in front of the fireplace. The summer-room was beautiful, but too cold without means of heating for prolonged use. The house is off-grid, which is also a blessing (but for the hardcore enthusiast it was possible to find cover a few hundred meters from the house). There is a rich variety of wonderful walks to be explored locally, great suggestions supplied in welcome pack by hosts and tips can also be found in visitors book. Remember to print off at home! The place is brimming with wildlife (we saw many birds and deer) and there are amble opportunities for foragers too (mushrooms and mussels!). We spent our days exploring, but this place is just as great for quiet contemplation, relaxation or painting. The fully enclosed garden was brilliant for our dog with sheep and geese on the neighbouring fields. Even the weather was on best behaviour with sun four days and snowcapping on the highest peaks. Would go back tomorrow if I could!!

Great cottage with a lovely mix of the traditional and the new, with good kitchen facilities providing everything you need for cooking. The sun room was a lovely space for relaxing in the evening, watching the changing weather and the peace and tranquility of the location. The showers in both bathrooms were good, powerful showers and the option for a bath in the main bathroom. WiFi worked well at both ends of the cottage and on the lovely sunny days the garden was a good space to enjoy.We also found the cottage a great location for exploring the local area, so many beautiful locations to visit and always with spectacular scenery around every corner!!

This is a lovely cottage which perfectly combines old and new, snug and light, comfort and practicality. We loved the choice of materials, fabrics and muted colours. Highlights of our stay were the white sandy beaches at Portruick and Sanna, the magical setting of Castle Tioram and the ancient Oakwood and riverside at Ariundle.

Very peaceful location

If you want to get away from it all this is the perfect place. It's a very comfortable and well equipped cottage. The loch is a 5min walk away across a field. During our stay we saw eagles, deer and a pine Martin from the garden. One thing to note is that during our stay the WiFi didn't work at all but there was a 4g signal. note is that there was no wifi

Very peaceful location to chill lamb's and calf's great time off year to enjoy these little one's as your neighbours lot's to do on your doorstep in Moidart singing sands beach is a must stunning pristine beach cosy comfy cottage with everything you need the summer room is a delightful space great for watching the bat's at dusk or just sitting enjoying the sun on the decking lovely sheltered spot love this cottage was our second visit and looking forward to returning

A great time in this lovely warm Highlands croft. Having 2 log burners and other heating meant that we could always be warm and cosy. Very comfortable and spacious.

Outstanding property and location

Peaceful and quiet location for winding down and relaxing in a beautiful clean, cosy, comfortable cottage. We we're blessed with sunshine for the week to enjoy the stunning view's from the croft and plenty to do in the Moidart area, boat hire available at the farm just down the bottom of the road to enjoy a day on Loch Shiel this is a much loved and looked after property by the owner, we wouldn't hesitate to come back again, thanks for a wonderful holiday 😊❤️

herrlich einsam, liebevoll eingerichtet

... sonnige Tage, so brauchten wir die Heizkörper und Kamine kaum. Zwei gute Bäder, liebevoll möbliertes Esszimmer und Wintergarten. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, der Wintergarten ein herrliches Plätzchen mit Seeblick. Der See ist über eine tlw feuchte Wiese erreichbar, baden ust möglich, aber Strand wäre zu viel gesagt.

Very nice property. Directions could have included some mileage from landmarks. Looking for a road sign at dusk on a long road was more challenging than need be. Transporting all linens from the U.S. was something of a chore.

Third visit

What can I say we love this place. Lots of lush beaches and walks. The loch at the bottom of the garden for a swim or paddle board is fab. Weather not a friend this time be but always interesting🤣sunshine and torrential rain. The only thing you need to bring is a hairdryer and extension to reach a mirror. Lots of deers about this time of year too❤️
