Beautiful place

This was a really beautiful property in a prime location of the beach and many restaurants. I enjoyed being close to family in laynes gap and would 100% stay again.

Beautiful Area

Beautiful Beach that is a small walk down the street. Grocery store in Holetown less than 10 minutes away. Clean property and with all the comforts of home. Safe area.

Great stay!

Marcia's place was great! Very clean. Very wrll stocked with everything you need for a vacation. The location is great. Great AC in the bedrooms and lots of doors with screens for a cross breeze in the main living areas. All 6 of us said we would come back anytime.

Lovely villa in an unspoilt and lush area. The neighbours were very friendly and Jennie was an absolute star, "Thankyou for the mangos" Ann-Marie (House Manager) was very responsive and Marcia is a fantastic host. The property is well proprtioned, clean and airy. The kitchen has all the mod cons and the utility room was a plus. The bedrooms were of a decent size. We would definitely return again and have no hesitation in recommneding our friends and family to this lovely property. Thank you Marcia, very much appreciated.

Beautifully updated villa

Spacious villa was airy and beautifully updated. Well appointed kitchen. We were just a couple but it could accommodate 6 comfortably. Highly recommended.

Laines road Paynes Bay

The property was fantastic very spacious plenty of room to move about, the property had everything we needed it was very clean when we arrived our host was already waiting for us and explained everything thoroughly. . The location was just right 3 minutes walk to Paynes Bay west coast. The Supermarket, Petrol station and other shops were just a driving distance. We could freely move around to different beaches beacuse of our location

We stayed one day before and one day after our cruise. House was spotlessly clean well stocked and the kids loved the chickens and roosters just outside the door. Beds were comfortable showers had plenty of hot water Good kitchen to cook in with full size fridge. Close to grocery store. Eric and Kathy Canada

Short stay at lovely villa

A delighful open plan villa which was a few minutes walk to wonderful Paynes beach, not far from the Sandy Lane resorts, and a short drive to food supplies and a major supermarket. The host was very accommodating to any requests, and helpful wherever possible.The property itself was clean, well laid out and had all the amenities you'd expect. As a family of 2 adults, a teenager and 4 year old this was an ideal place to stay. I'd happily recommend.

Great house with very good service

We had a very great stay in the house in Barbados. We arrived at the house and were greeted very warmly. The house is beautiful, lovingly furnished, has a garden with sun loungers and had a folder with lots of valuable tips. We had a few questions during our stay. These were clarified immediately by phone or by visiting in person. There is a beach just down the road. Everything you need is available in the house. Thanks again for the great service. Even on the day of departure it was no problem to stay a little longer in the house and then drive directly to the airport.

Misleading Listing

The listing on VRBO said it was a 1 minute walk to the beach. We booked because of this proximity. It was in fact 250 to 300 meters (a 5 minute walk). A huge difference for seniors or others with health or mobility issues. The listing said there was a BBQ and hot tub. That was not the case. Then there were maintenance issues many of which were pre existing - broken kitchen sink faucet, run on toilets, microwave that didn't work, fridge and stove in need of repairs/replacement (they looked grungy). House itself was spacious, well furnished (aside from kitchen) and had comfortable beds. Note - air conditioning in bedrooms only - so kitchen, dining/living room space become quite hot later in the day. I feel we were misled and overpaid given location and maintenance issues.

Nice House- Nice Host

My family and I stayed and loved the house and the host! Safe neighborhood close to a beautiful beach and restaurants. Just make sure you get clear directions from the airport Can be a little hard to find especially at night. Overall lovely place!

Excellent Staycation - Definitely Recommend for Vacation/Holiday

We wanted to at stay in a nice and clean Villa/Apartment with a small group of family and friends and in a nice quiet location. We go all that we wanted +++ :-)) The villa and the location was great and it was in walking distance of the beach. Jenny was very pleasant and accommodating. Everyone loved it.

Lovely quiet spacious villa 5 mins from beach

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marcias property at Laynes Rd 3. The Villa was all on one level and very spacious with large back garden and open front patio overlooking garden and opposite lands where chickens, monkeys and birdlife entertained us over breakfast. Air con and fans in each bedroom were useful for kids and amenities were all as stated. Jenny who lives next door passed by to check we were comfortable and even shared with us a seving of local food (Cou Cou and jack fish) which was most appreciated. Paynes beach is 5/10 mins walk. The area has a fish market near by and some local places to eat within walking distance. Overall a great spot for exploring the west coast.

Barbados holiday

It is a very nice appartement, we enjoyed staying there very much. It is very close to the beach and the owner and housekeeper are very nice. I would definitely go here again if I visited Barbados again.

Well located and equipped house. The communication with the owner was excellent and fast.

100% happy with the house. We stayed at this property with our extended family. It was 7 of us as Marcia kindly offered to add a bed for the 11 year old girl. The house was big enough for the 7 of us. Marcia was really helpful and arranged or transport to and from the airport for us. She always replied straight away. We had a slight problem with the water pressure but she got someone to come and fix it immediately even though it was Sunday ! What a great service! We loved our stay. Kitchen is very well equipped, Jenny who comes to clean is a lovely lady and we were just 5 min from the beach. My only recommendation is to add a barbecue to the garden. There is a fish market 10 min from the house and for us there is nothing better than bbq fish . We would definitely come back here.

Lovely villa on a quiet street - close to beach

My husband and two young daughters (1.5 years and 3 years) stayed at the villa for a month. It was great and we truly enjoyed getting to know Marcia's extended family, Jenny became a surrogate grandmother to our daughters. Paynes Bay beach is about a 10 minute walk - and it's a wonderful place to swim with Hawsbill turtles. The villa is spacious and well-appointed with air-con in each of the bedrooms. We enjoyed mangos from the tree and watching the monkeys in the mango tree. As we have young children we cooked every day - the kitchen is reasonably well appointed, and did the job. We enjoyed lunches and dinners on the shady veranda. The internet was also very fast, which was great. Highly recommend the Thurs-Sat evening fish fry just down the road. Great value, but more importantly excellent food. A wonderful holiday and we hope to visit again.

Spacious house 5 minutes walk from Paynes Bay

Spacious house, in a quiet lane 5 minutes walk to Paynes Bay, which has a beautiful sandy beach and calm turquoise sea. Made to feel very welcome by Marcia's extended family who live close by. Spacious house, well furnished and equipped, spotlessly clean. Particularly enjoyed getting up early for a walk and a swim and then having a leisurely breakfast on the shady veranda and taking a picnic back to the beach. There are lots of excellent bars and restaurants nearby. Neighbours are very friendly, chickens, monkeys and humming birds like to visit the lovely garden. Stayed with my husband and 3 teenage daughters, who are very hard to please. We had a wonderful holiday and were all sad to go home.
