The house is in a lovely spot and great for coastal walks. We had a free basket of logs for the log burner but it was too warm to use them unfortunately. There’s no mobile signal but there is WiFi which makes up for that.

Wunderschöne Ecke südlich von Salcombe! Die Cottage ist allerdings nicht freistehend, sondern Teil der East Soar Experience - einer größeren Farm mit Gruppenaktivitäten und Camping.Es war aber herrlich ruhig und die Landschaft und das Meer sind umwerfend schön dort!!Vielen Dank Schalk!

Easter break on the Farm

We had an amazing stay on East Soar Farm. The property was clean, comfortable and cosy, and was like a home from home. The log burner with an endless supply of logs was very welcome on the chilly nights.Our three young children had great fun spending time with the animals, including getting into the field with the newborn lambs and nursing them! Our children are desperate to return.The surroundings were beautiful, and there were a number of lovely walks along the coastal path, which was on the doorstep.Schalk and Marijke were wonderful hosts. Their communication before we arrived was extremely helpful and timely and they were readily available throughout our stay.

Blissful stay

A lovely getaway

We had a wonderful time at East Soar farm. The kids enjoyed being surrounded by the animals and we did the splendid walk to Salcombe Beach and back. The apartment has just what you need in order to cook, sleep and shower and was very clean upon arrival. We felt very welcome and well taken care off.

A little Bit of Paradise!

A Perfect place to disappear for a while.Wild natural beauty on the doorstep. Fabulous accommodation and all the comforts you need. We took our three Grandchildren and we are all looking forward to returning soon…. Idyllic location in cozy accommodation

We enjoyed 3 nights in this comfortable and homely cottage which adjoins the main farm house. Plenty of room for our family of four and everything in perfect working order and condition. Particularly enjoyed the wood burning stove! We were given a warm welcome by our hosts who were informative about our surroundings and always happy to help with our queries. The location is absolutely perfect for cliff walks and 2 minutes brings you to the coastal path and the most stunning views of the sparkling sea. We were blessed with sunny days which added to the breathtaking panorama. 45 minutes walk turning left along the coast brings you to South Sands and thereafter, North Sands and finally Salcombe itself which was heaving with visitors due to the Easter weekend and glorious weather. It was bliss to escape the hoards and return to our peaceful cottage. Would definitely return!

Perfect location!

We had a fabulous weekend at East Soar! The cottage was cosy and comfortable and the location was perfect for exploring the coastline. Our children loved their time on the farm itself, exploring the fairy woods and playing with Winslow! We will definitely be returning! Thank you!

Fabulous location!

What a fabulous location, walks on the Coastal path to the beaches from the cottage, plenty of firewood, kitchen has everything you need and comfortable beds. Would highly recommend and hopefully we will be back again! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

An der wilden und wunderschönen Küste liegt das Ferienhaus auf der Farm der Besitzer direkt am Küstenpfad, auf dem man stundenlang die abwechslungsreiche Landschaft erkundet. Wir hatten tolle Tage! Die sehr netten Vermieter haben uns mit sebstgebackenem Schokokaden- und Karottenkuchen und mit frischen eigenen Eiern verwöhnt - lecker!-herzlichen Dank! - auch für die Sorge um unsere wirklich späte Ankunft! Great location

Very well equipped kitchen etc., comfy bed and great supply of logs for wood burner. Not the most congenial host but made up for very friendly dogs and cat! Perfect for walking the coastal path and walking to Salcombe.

Wonderful escape from urban life

Beautiful location and excellent hosts. We loved our stay here. Had thought it might get a bit chilly but the log fire and heaters made it toasty warm, even in the blustery weather. Everything you could need or want for a break from it all. Highly recommend.

Comfortable cottage in idyllic setting

We arrived at the cottage, carefully following the owners instructions. Whilst it was late and very dark, we didnt get lost! Set adjacent to the main farmhouse, the property was very welcoming with a large entrance hall with plenty of hooks and space for coats, boots etc. Into the main sitting room - a very effective log burner, sofa, dining table & chairs and suitably equipped kichen. Also a good size bedroom. Upstairs 2 further bedrooms - one big double with sea view and the other with bunk beds, plus a good size family bathroom inc shower over the bath. Whilst its the end of october, we were never cold with the use of bedroom heaters and log burner.. You could stay in winter. The star of stay has to be the location - set in beautiful countryside, close to the coastal path. Yes, the position is extremely rural and the access road is more suited to a 4x4, but you could do it in normal car if you are careful - we did. It's a dreamy South Devon holiday let with helpful owners who couldnt do enough for us! And thank you for the fresh eggs for our breakfast, which in warmer months, we would have eaten on the courtyard. Almost forgot to tell you about the donkeys, white horse, sheep, pretty cats and friendly golden retrievers.... Happy memories

paddocks and a small bit of woodland. The farm is
home to Schalk, Marijke their 3 children and Daisy
dog.
A warm welcome awaits you on your arrival and we aim to ensure that those that stay with us have an unforgettable experience in one of the most beautiful parts of the South Hams. Apart from the cottage we also offer a catered camping service in pre-pitched bell tents during the summer months. East Soar Farm cottage is located in the most spectacular of settings in South Devon. It has amazing sea views and is located on the South West coastal path. Several beautiful Sandy beaches are within walking distance including Stare hole Bay, Soar Mill Cove and South Sands. The farm has a real sense of isolation yet Salcombe with its quaint shops, cafes and pubs is only a 10 minute drive away. There is a Walker's hut on the farm where you can relax and enjoy home baked cakes and variety of other refreshments. The property has a log burner with an unlimited supply of logs included at no extra charge. East Soar Farm is the perfect getaway for families, friends or couples. Dogs accepted at an extra charge of £25 on arrangement with owner
