The location was phenomenal. The locals in the area were some of the friendliest I’ve ever encountered on a trip.. we had a great time. The place was everything we expected. Thank you.

The cabin could have used a better cleaning before we checked in. Over all it was okay, had a couple lizards in there and a big cockroach, those are to be expected staying right on the swamp. Ran into a water mocosin on the boat dock area. The boat dock could really use some repairs. Overall the host was great, would return again.

My husband, son and I were visiting family out of state and needed somewhere to stay for a few nights with our two dogs. The cabin was perfect, secluded and peaceful for us to get some rest after a long drive. River out back is beautiful as well and the neighbors we did see were very friendly. Roy was quick to communicate everything we needed to know about check-in and overall we had a very nice stay.

Family softball weekend in Myrtle Beach

My daughter was playing softball in Myrtle Beach one last time before heading to college to continue her softball career. Roy’s place was exactly what our family needed. It let us unwind as a family and enjoy each other after a long day at the fields. It was nice to walk around, fish, watch movies when it rained and played some cards. Roy was a fantastic host, our family will be back!!!

Peaceful

We enjoyed our stay it was a very peaceful place to be. Cabin had everything we needed we spent 7 days and enjoyed every one of them even though it rained we still enjoyed walking, boating and cooking out. This truly is a hidden gem.

Wonderful get away!!

Roy is super nice and it was easy to communicate with him as he would respond quickly to any questions. The neighbors on both sides of him are super friendly and the neighbors boxer had a good time hanging out and playing with our dog. It is a quiet little neighborhood. Hope to get back soon. Great for nature lovers!

We spent a month here to get away from the northern winter and it was great! We loved the river, the trees, the huge variety of birds and the quiet. Roy’s affordable, get-away-from-it-all cabin is located in a tiny neighborhood of mostly second homes along the Little Peedee River. It’s spacious, comfortable and nicely appointed. It’s a little out of the way but not a bad drive to Conway and Myrtle Beach. It was a good place to experience some real Southern hospitality. Roy was a wonderful host, very responsive and helpful. We won’t hesitate to come back!

Weekend getaway

Had a wonderful experience at this cabin for the weekend. Roy was very helpful and a great host. Would absolutely recommend, if you’re looking for a relaxing place to unwind and UNPLUG!

Weekend Getaway

I really enjoyed the property with my two boys. They had so much fun fishing on the floating dock. Even though they didn't catch anything the piece they experienced was refreshing. I made sure to sign the guest book and Roy was such a pleasant person to finally meet in person.

A Month at the Little Pee Dee Cabin

We booked Roy's cabin for a month to escape the snow. Roy was there to greet us and show us around when we arrived. He was VERY helpful and responsive throughout our stay. We ended up with a flat tire and he got us connected with the repair shop close by. It was fixed within an hour! The neighborhood is quiet with just a few cars coming and going. Easy to get in a daily walk if that's your thing. The water is steps away from the cabin. It has a large screen porch. The furnishings are homey and comfortable. Everything worked as expected. Whether you're looking for a quiet spot to relax, or a place to stay that's handy to Myrtle Beach/Conway/Florence, you won't be disappointed. We REALLY enjoyed our time here. And Roy was a perfect host.

Best Stay Ever!

This place was so amazing and very peaceful! Yes it's a did to get anywhere but I wouldn't trade it for anything. We didn't want to leave because it's so beautiful here! We will definitely be back! Roy and his wife was so helpful and very kind! Thank you guys again for sharing!

We built this Cabin while our children were in school. It was constructed in the winter using local craftsmen and farm workers who needed work in the off season.. The children are now adults and we enjoy having our grandchildren visit us there. As they are away at college and some even planning to marry, there is lots of time to have special guests come for a week-end or more. I am now retired and spend my days golfing or tinkering around the Cabin. I really enjoy trying my hand in woodworking and you can see the results of my efforts when you come to visit.

My wife, Mary, said to me when Lee and Carla were still in High School that if we were to ever build a Cabin, we should do it while they were close by. We originally thought we only were interested in water skiing, but now we know that whether low or high, Little Pee Dee is a unique little river that is always a joy.

この宿泊施設の特徴

The White Oak Cabin is situated in an area that is quite secluded but not far away either. The Grand Strand is an easy drive as is Marion, Johnsonville or Conway. Webster Manor lunch buffet in Mullins is legendary and only twenty minutes away.
It is never crowded at White Oak. A holiday week-end may see a half dozen boats and on a regular week day there is hardly any traffic at all!
A paved boat ramp is a very short walk from the Cabin. Often, sandbars with pure white sand line the river banks.
