Dumenza is a beautiful village in the mountains above Lake Maggiore.

village Summer has arrived in the Italian Lakes & Mountains that surround Dumenza, a great place in winter, spring, summer and autumn.

A recent guest has described the place as lovely and very quiet and slept very well.
They had a great stay in Dumenza and appreciated the hospitality.

We have recently been thanked by guests who said that they had such great time in Dumenza, saying that the apartment was very well located. The village was very peaceful and the people were very welcoming.

They loved hike in the mountains in the mornings and spend cosy evenings down the lake and would recommend it to friends and family without any doubts.

There are plenty of things to do all year round in Dumenza. This beautiful part of Italy almost guarantees a memorable holiday. Our self catering holiday homes are in the beautiful mountain village of Dumenza. It is surrounded by beautiful mountainous countryside so know that you will enjoy your holiday there whatever time of year you go. This is the ideal location to enjoy and explore lakes and mountains of northern Italy and Ticino in Switzerland. It is close to Luino by Lake Maggiore, in the Italian lakes and mountains in Northern Italy. Dumenza is only a mile from the Swiss border Lake Lugano is only just over the border in Switzerland. It is also close to Lake Lugano and Lake Como is not far away. Lake Garda is further east.

You will find all kinds of beautiful trees and shrubs around the village. You will hear a variety of bird sounds, depending on the time of year. If it is out of season and longer why not visit Dumenza and Lake Maggiore before the crowds come. You will enjoy a last minute break in the Italian Lakes and Mountains. Our guests are happy to tell us how they enjoy all the things there are to do and see there.

It is great for self catering walking holidays and cycling holidays as the views from the mountains around Dumenza and Lake Maggiore are superb.

Things to do: As you are so close to Lake Maggiore there are plenty of things to do including walking, mountain biking, boat trips, shopping in Lugano. In the winter you can ski in the Swiss ski resort of San Bernardino, only an hour and a half away by car.

There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance from the accommodation in Dumenza. There are plenty of bars & restaurants in Luino, by the lake. It is about 10 minute by car. There is also a bus service to Luino.

There are many other things to for in the area. Milan is 1 1/2 hours away for a city trip.

Good modest house for the area

We enjoyed our stay at the lake and the village was great too. The rental is perfect as place to cook and sleep.

Quiet and relaxed Stay

We found the accommodation easily, whereby the provided pictures were a good help and Adriana made sure that everything was fine. The place was lovely and very quiet - we never slept as rewarding! Following the information received, we went on a beautiful hike through the forest near Lago deli. We had a great stay and appreciate the hospitality!

Brilliant lots to with beautiful surroundings.

I have been meaning to e-mail you to say what a great holiday we had! Everything was wonderful, the apartment, location and amenities. We visited quite a few places, bearing in mind we had a 9 month old, we particularly liked C a nnobio and the cable car at Laveno. I would certainly recommend your apartment to family and friends. Also one year we may be interested in your other apartments. Once again thanks so much for all the useful information you sent us and a wonderful holiday!

Cozy accomodation, there are at least 2 routes up/down. The first time we had the "adventurous" route where there were really small and high angle mountain roads. Our Toyota Aygo didn't like that, at all ;) However, If you set your navigation to Epikure, you will see a road going up which also leads up to the accomodation, but much much easier road. Adriana, the housekeeper is a sweetheart!

Wir waren sehr überrascht als wir an die 40 Steinstufen bis zur Wohnung erklimmen mussten. Das war nirgends angegeben. Für kranke Menschen ist das eine wahre Herausforderung oder gar nicht erst zu bewältigen.Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, müsste aber wieder einmal von Grund auf gesäubert und die Schäden beseitigt werden. Die Dame, die uns vor Ort begrüßt hat war sehr freundlich, konnte aber leider nur italienisch. Ansonsten hatten wir einen wunderschönen Urlaub.

Alles in allem schöner Aufenthalt

Grundsätzlich war alles gut. Man hatte soweit alles was man braucht und es war ausreichend Platz! Zudem ist die Lage sehr ruhig und die Hausdame ist sehr hilfsbereit. Ein negativer Punkt war, dass in der Beschreibung steht, dass es einen Ofen gibt - den es nicht gibt. Das Bett war okay, aber von den Kissen und der Matratze haben wir nach ein paar Tagen ziemliche Nackenschmerzen und Rückenschmerzen bekommen. Aber das kommt sicher auf jede Person an. Die Sauberkeit war auch in Ordnung.

Schöne ruhige Wohnung im Hinterland von Luino

Wirklich empfehlenswert diese Wohnung ! Ein Geheimtip für alle die gerne Wandern und Baden im Urlaub verbinden. Im obersten Stockwerk kommt etwas ins Schnaufen, dafür hat man eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf die Berge und sogar ein kleines Stück Lago. Die Wohnung ist gut eingerichtet und das Dorf hat eine prima Bar, Pizzeria, Post, Apotheke und Supermarkt. Es gibt mehrmals am Tag einen Bus nach Luino oder auch nach Curiglia in die Berge. Alles bestens, ein Geheimtipp. Gotthard und Anne

Friedlicher Ort mit kontaktfreudigen Nachbarn

Ich hatte eine tolle Woche in Dumenza. Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön, sehr gut ausgestattet und hat eine schöne Aussicht mit etwas Blick auf den Lago. Die italienische Gastfreundschaft der Nachbarn ist äußerst liebevoll und einladend. Ein älterer Nachbar spielt täglich 1-2 Stunden klassische Gitarre mit Liedern von nah und fern, was man indirekt hört oder live miterleben kann :) Die nächst größere Stadt Luino mit Fährverbindungen und quirligem Mittwochs-Wochenmarkt ist knapp 10 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Freitag Vormittag steht aber auch ein Markt-Auto fast vor der Haustür. Die Unterkunft ist ein super Ausgangspunkt für Touren in alle Himmelsrichtungen. Ich würde wiederkommen.

Periodo a Dumenza

L'appartamento è sito nel centro di Dumenza, in buona posizione e ben organizzato (camera da letto, cucina e piccolo soggiorno,bagno) al quarto piano di in vecchio edificio. Rispetto a 3 anni fa, abbiamo notato però dei peggioramenti nel mobilio ed elettrodomestici (TV rotta, radio molto antiquata, pochissime pentole a disposizione così come 1 solo cambio di biancheria per 2 settimane e assenza di utensili per pulire la casa). Peccato perché basterebbe poco per migliorare in modo sostanziale il soggiorno!

Übernachtung mit Wunderschöner Aussicht

Wir haben 3 Nächte in der Unterkunft vollbracht. Die Wohnung ist ganz oben im Haus, also viele Treppen. Parken eine Straße entfernt oder am Supermarkt. Wunderschöne Gasse mitten im Dorf. Die Unterkunft ist urig und gemütlich mit wirklich toller Aussicht. Unbedingt Handtücher mitbringen (sind vor Ort keine). Für die Küche wäre es noch schön gewesen etwas Spülmittel, einen Lappen, Wischtuch für die wenigen Tage zu haben. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war super, unkompliziert und nett.

Nous avons été accueillis par Amika et son mari Alberto, des occupants de l'immeuble qui se sont montrés adorables avec nous, et qui nous ont donnés les renseignements dont nous avions besoins.merci à eux. Logement tres agréable avec une grande chambre. Le seul bémol,les chaises hautes pas tres confortables.

In die Jahre gekommen

Die Sauberkeit des Objektes war nicht so Kaffeemaschine Defekt Wohnzimmerlampe defekt wurde erst nach einer Woche repariert da die Ansprechpersonen eine Woche später kam das Haus riecht sehr muffig die Wohnung liegt in 3 Etage sehr in den Jahre gekommen auf die Couch im Wohnzimmer ist ein Aufenthalt maximal 1 Stunde möglich ohne dass in der den Rücken weh tut Wohnzimmertisch defekt die Wohnung könnte ruhig mal renoviert werden sind mehrere Bilder vorhanden wenn gewünscht wird nachgesendet Gruß Familie Lademann

Appartement au top super propre, très bien agencé très bien décoré et surtout au calme à 10mn en voiture du lac majeur.

Kurzurlaub

Wir waren für einen Kurzurlaub am Lago Maggiore und haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Die ruhige Lage in dem Bergdorf läd zum Entspannen ein.

Simple mais accueillant. Les habitants de la maison son très sympathique. La communication n'est pas aisée car nous ne parlons pas l'italien , mais on se débrouille toujours et parfois, on rigole bien.
