First family vacation in a while

It was nice to get away and spend time on Oak Island. neighborhood was quiet and the house was nice and well put together. I would for sure stay here again

Great piece of heaven.

The place was great. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your little place at the beach. It was perfect for what we wanted. Made our first trip to Oak Island great.

Cute cozy cottage on a quiet street

We had a very nice stay! The cottage was quaint and tidy. The owner is very accommodating and returns inquiries quickly. Great proximity to the beach and grocery shopping!

Quiet beach vacation

My husband and I enjoyed our week in this comfortable home a few blocks from the beach. It is modest but well thought-out, tastefully furnished, clean and well maintained. The owner was helpful and prompt in communications. We would definitely consider coming again!

Very nice quaint property that is pet friendly. Well maintained and clean. Inviting and homey. Close enough to walk to everything but still very quiet! Reasonably priced and owner is very accessible. Would visit again.

Thanks Mark....hope you will stay again. To all those with pets only small non shedding dog on this side of duplex. All other pet owners check out side B property #695798...rear yard separated by privacy fence.

Awesome place. Amazing location.

My wife and I recently stayed here for our vacation with our dog. The house was a block from the main road which was a perfect location for us. The duplex was super quiet and the outside shower was also a plus. Steve was also very informative and was super quick to respond to our questions. We had an amazing time!

Oak Island Beach House

I loved that it was an older home with a cozy, cottage feel. It was warm and inviting and everything we needed was provided. The fenced in yard was awesome for our dogs as well as the great patio we had to sit on. The screened-in front porch was so nice to sit in when it was raining and the washer/dryer was an added bonus. I would stay here again...

Great experience

We had a wonderful time at this little house. The bed was comfortable, very nice screened porch, and really enjoyed renting the owners golf cart making the trip to the beach a breeze! Only piece of advice I have is that if you have dogs there is a gap under the gate that small dogs can fit through, so bring something 8-10 ft long to cover it. Owners were a pleasure to deal with.

Thanks for the kind words and communication at the check in and out. There actually were two pieces of plywood at the trash cans right next to the barn door gates for just the purpose of closing that gap (Perhaps they got thrown away). The gates are higher because they need to open and close so often to get the cart and larger items into the rear yard. Those pieces will be available from now on... Thanks, Steve & Janet

Wonderful!

Great spot close to the beach

We loved being able to bike to the beach, ice cream, and mini golf. The place was quiet, comfy and provided everything we needed. Definitely would rent it again.

Fun!

This was our first trip to OKI and It definitely won’t be our last. The home was very clean and beautifully decorated. Steve was very hospitable and answered any questions we had. The check in and out process was very easy. I highly suggest renting the golf cart. It really added to our trip.

Anniversary Trip During Covid!

Wow! What a great experience renting this cute, little beach house in paradise! It sure wasn’t an easy time to take a vacation during Covid, with social-distancing, wearing masks and ordering takeout, but overall we had a great time. The house was so clean and updated (we were germaphobes before Covid), the bed comfortable and the communication with the owner was superb. Hopping around the island on the golf cart was one of the highlights of our trip. Would we rent this property again? Absolutely! Counting the days! :)

Really Great!

Our family stayed here for a week and loved the property. The house is adorable and we loved the outdoor shower. It is close to the beach and in a wonderful neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent Experience

We loved staying here. It had everything we needed. The added bonus of the screened-in porch gave us the opportunity to enjoy a cup of coffee every morning free of pesky bugs. Everything inside was great. The bed was comfortable, the appliances are all new, the layout was perfect. As a host, Steve was attentive and helpful. I would stay here again. It was a great getaway with everything you need.

Excellent place for family of 4!

Great place for a small family vacation. Place was very clean and decorated so cute. Golf cart was perfect! Could not be more pleased with our stay. Owner was very nice and easy to work with!

First time on Oak Island

Had a wonderful time at Steve’s place in Oak Island. This is the perfect place for a small family or 2 couples to stay during a visit. Walking distance from the ocean but we drove our car to the point for a beach access, very nice area and not crowded. Thanks for that tip Steve. Our Maltipoo Molly thoroughly enjoyed the trip and spent time every day on the beach with us. If you like seafood we really enjoyed Swains Seafood! Everything was very fresh, the menu changes daily depending on what is being caught by local fisherman that supply the restaurant. Be sure to go to Little Bit’s for lunch and have a burger the small is plenty, we ordered a large and only ate about half, it was awesome! If you are looking for somewhere for a nice dinner we recommend Mr. Ps Bistro in southport, the prime rib was to die for. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your place Steve, we will be back in the future (real soon)!

Allowed our dog!!

We took a last minute trip to Oak Isalnd, NC. We wanted to take our fur child w/ us. The owner was great and communicated with us to ensure the accommodation were satisfactory. We really enjoyed our stay and didnt have to leave our fur child at home. Short walk to Dairy Queen is a plus also...

Oak Island Girls Getaway

Great location! Easy access to the beach and walking distance to resteraunts. The property was very clean and inviting with comfortable couches, a large screen TV and the kitchen was stocked with anything you may need for cooking. Outside shower area was GREAT for getting all the sand off before heading inside. Screened in front porch was cozy and there is also a side patio with seating. We had a wonderful time and only wished we had come down for the whole week instead of just 3 days. Definitely looking forward to another visit soon!

This house is perfect because....flexible for just a small couples getaway using one side. Or vacationing with another couple or family and having both....you get togetherness and privacy....and Oak Island is GREAT!

On a quiet tree covered street ....everything is close by. Never leave the island or venture to Southport, Wilmington or Myrtle Beach.
